Excellent authentic Thai. We ordered a ton of takeout and all was Mickey packaged, flavored, and delicious. I asked for spicy and it was a little mild — I should have asked for a spice scale like 1 – 10. Would definitely order take out again.

One of my favorite places to get Thai food in Salt Lake. It’s a small, family run business that consistently serves amazing food. Some of my personal favorites are the gang-keow-whan(green curry), gang-ga-ree(yellow curry), tom-kha(lemongrass soup), fresh spring rolls, and kai-satay(thai seasoned chicken). Oh, and the prices are insanely low; especially the lunch specials. One tip though, I would definitely recommend calling before you drive over or plan on eating there, as I have found multiple times that they seem to be closed a lot(during normal posted business hours).

I love this place. It’s always fast and friendly service. The prices are incredible(about $ 7 for lunch and I always have leftovers). You can tell they make the food there and it’s fresh. My picky three year old devours his food and always asks for some more. Basically a solid Thai place for a quick and delicious lunch.

We don’t come here too often, but we should though because the food is fantastic. We’ve only ordered take out and our favorite dish is the spicy fried tilapia. The fish is crunchy and the sauce that goes with it gives a perfect heat. Today we ordered the tilapia, the BBQ pork, and Pad see ew with beef. It was a fabulous meal with a couple of exceptions: the beef was too chewy and the pork was a bit bland, but goes great with the sauce and maybe that’s the intention. If you like spicy food, this place definitely know how to deliver them. Price is good for the amount of food you get. Will try to come back here more often.

Tasty Thai is another family owned type of restaurant located near Liberty Park. The setting is super casual. Although the décor is super basic, the food was anything but. We had the Tom Kha soup with shrimp, papaya salad, pork larb, and the yellow curry with beef. Everything was very flavorful and full of savory, sour, and spicy contrasts on my tastebuds. Portion sizes are all family style and even the leftovers we had tasted great the next day.

Love this place, Pad Thai too sweet though, beware. Soups are tasty, clean place and fast service. From outside it does not look very inviting but its definitely worthy. Curry’s are excellent, try them all!

My husband and I like this place. We went to there twice, and ordered some noodles, and spring rolls, etc. everything taste good, and they have alternative to cook their delicious food with garlic or without garlic. It’s helps us because we have appointment sometimes after lunch or dinner. Not romantic restaurant here, very casual place, and we like casual place. They are always friendly and so kind, so we can relax here. Only one thing, the floor is little bit sticky, if it wasn’t, here is 5 stars for us!

This place is so great! They really care about the community and are always friendly with caring customer service. I just stopped in for a smoothie, decided on the Thai Basil Guava, and oh my! Is it good? Yes!!! I also love their food. They know how to cook up some tofu anything!

Upon a recommendation, and the fact this place is 5 minutes from my house, I decided to try out Tasty Thai. The location is great. Just on the south-west corner of Liberty Park. Parking can get a little tight if they are busy but it’s not too bad. On to the food. Every so often you get a craving for some good pad thai. I kept it simple and was so excited to try their pad thai with chicken for take out. Now I’m not sure if that’s how Tasty Thai normally makes their food or if it was because I ordered take out, but the pad thai was far and beyond«different» from other Thai restaurants in the greater Salt Lake area. The noodles tasted overcooked and there was simply so much sauce that it just took away from the whole dish. Aside from the excess sauciness, there lacked any real spice and flavor. It was bland at best. I was obviously disappointed. This all being said I do plan to return and try other items because my friends who recommended Tasty Thai do truly like their food so that’s good enough for me to eventually give them a second go around. If you’re on the fence about eating here I still suggest you do, because I’m hoping my experience was a fluke and there is still some good eating to come.

Awesome food! We live close by and were hesitant to try it out because the building is not much to look at from the outside, but after reading the reviews online we decided to give it a try. We’re so glad we did! The food is delicious and prices are reasonable. We found our new favorite Thai spot!

I love this place but am very disappointed that the last 3 times I have tried to eat here they have been closed. It was twice on a Friday and once on a Wednesday.

We were very pleased with Tasty Thai. Dining in the restaurant close to closing time on a Sunday night, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of our dinner and the service was awesome! The Massaman Curry was absolutely delicious! And the veggie hot and sour soup with the coconut milk in it was amazing!

Huge portions, quick turnaround. I can’t speak to the service as I ordered takeout, but the food was ready quickly, still hot when I got it home, and pretty tasty. Prices could be better, though.

Awesome Thai food! I always order the pad ke mao with pad Thai noodles, simply wonderful and very flavorful. Thank you for always making my dish right and on time for pick up!

I had a mostly good experience here and really would rate them a 3.5 if I could(simply because even though the food was really good, I’ve had much better elsewhere for a similar price). I ordered one of the red curries. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful… crunchy beans and baby corn, etc. Nothing was over cooked and I like that they actually used Thai eggplant instead of japanese or italian, which I’ve seen other Thai places do. I asked for it extra spicy and it was(which I give lots of credit, because sometimes places don’t actually make things as spicy as I like… it made my nose runny and almost made me cry). But the strange thing is that it did not seem to have any coconut milk in it. It was more like a broth-based curry with the consistency of soup. Maybe this is just a style of curry of which I am not previously aware, but it’s the first time I have had a curry without coconut milk. It tasted great, but was not what I expected(which is fine). I deduct 1 star for the atmosphere. It was kind of a dumpy place. Normally I would not mind if the prices were low to match the atmosphere, but the prices were about average. It is not a place I would take a date unless she specifically requested a hole in the wall.

The pad yellow curry is amazing. The prices are very good, at only around ten bucks a dinner and eight bucks a lunch. The servers have heavy accents but are very friendly. Great places for take out too.

Not once, not twice, but three times I have found metal wire in my food. This is just sloppy, and the place should be put out of business by the health department. I have also found hair, and egg shells. Thinking the first time or two that it was just an accident. The accidents keep occurring.

I highly recommend the pad yellow curry with extra vegetables. It’s a delicious vegetarian dish and I’ve never had anything like it at another restaurant. I’s not on the lunch menu but you can ask for it.

I eat at this place rather frequently given its proximity to my residence. Generally, it is five stars, but every so often, something happens that makes me question perfection status. I’d give it a 4.5, but I figured I would just round up. The waitstaff is typically very responsive and tend to customers well. The only exception is when the restaurant gets crowded, you can tell that they start to feel the pressure/stress. Really nice Jazz music on Saturdays, not really what you might expect, but it was a nice addition to the ambience. The food is generally very good. I would recommend the honey shrimp, the Neur-Yang, and the Pad Kra-Pow. If you like spicy, their Pad Kee Mow is awesome as well. Again, once or twice, the food quality has been slightly below average which is what makes it closer to a 4.5 Generally, this is a solid choice for Thai. I have been countless times and I love the local feel to it. Definitely in the top 5 Thai for Salt Lake City.
