The Honey Stop

Probably not worth your time to make a trip here. Just tried to go to this store. Online hours said it was open, two different sets of Hours listed on the door, sign on the front said «OPEN», and the door is locked. Seems like they aren’t actually interested in being open to the public. Go to a grocery store, or go online and save yourself the trouble.

Small shop but with great honey for very reasonable price, and I really appreciate that it comes in glass gars. Very real, friendly, and personable owner too.

We have purchased both honey and beekeeping equipment from Peter at The Honey Stop, and we love this store. Peter is extremely friendly and helpful – you cannot hope for better customer service – and the products are excellent.

Picked up 5lb of local wildflower honey today for a very nice price. I will be frequenting this establishment often as I use a lot of honey in cider production. Nice friendly service and all the other customers were super friendly as well.

Wow! This place is awesome! If you want honey, they have the best honey in town. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and nice. Customer service is top notch and they have many varieties of fresh honey from different types of flowers and geographic regions. What are you waiting for? As a store, this is not much, by way of first impression. Driving up on a non-​descript block, parking next door by the gas station you will be half-​certain it is closed and you just wasted a drive. You will also notice the bees banging against the window, trying to get in.
Inside, it is altogether different. Not cutesy — nothing out of a Park City second-wife’s wet dream — but a sensible place, with sensible prices and a whole lot of genuinely distinctive honey. You may be hard-​pressed to differentiate your Syrah from your Shiraz but here, the flavors don’t need a graduate degree to appreciate. And why should it. When the bees frequent sage or linden, that tastes a whole lot different from clover. Simple as that.
The proprietor is knowledgeable and enthusiastic but no-​nonsense, from a brief first chat. He won’t tell you that you’ve been putting swill on your cereal until now, he won’t try to «educate you» on the finer points of apiary-​appreciation (?) but he will answer your questions if you have them and let you taste not just what is on offer but maybe a jar that a client dropped in, visiting from Brazil. Even if it is not for sale.
This shop makes sense as a one-​off visit, as a curiosity, but I suspect it will also become a regular item for me and must have, for many others. You live in the beehive state, you have to give it a shot.

Local raw honey, what more could you ask for? That they accept Bitcoins. Otherwise, perfect.

It was a great discovery when I found this store. Being a honey lover, this store has a large variety of honey, you can sample anything in the store. I would highly recommend paying a visit here and support your locals!

Great local honey of just about any taste. Sampling is allowed and owners are really cool. By accident, I caught them on their day off and they still went out of their way to take care of me. Only on the way out did I find they were actually closed, as they explained locking the door behind me.

I adore the Honey Stop. This was my first trip to Utah and I had heard it was famous for honey, so stopped in to try all the Utah Honeys and first tasted from all over Utah, what a variety. I bought the tiny honey bear dispensers from Cache valley for my friends, the dark brown and molasses Wasatch Nights, and the caramelly Erdathis raw honey as well as some Siberian honey which the owner Peter had just procured in giant tubs in St. Petersburg. Also, I got an amazing Honey Dispenser, He also has materials for beekeepers and books and all sorts of honey books and more. I highly recumbent

This is a great, if tiny, shop. Peter gets major props for even dreaming up something like this… I’ve never heard of one anywhere else. It’s fun to taste different honeys, including the custom flavored ones that Peter creates himself. The vanilla bean flavored honey is to die for. His prices are reasonable too. I think I paid around $ 9 for a jar of raw, local honey. (It’s not Sue Bee honey in a plastic bear for $ 3, but that’s literally not even honey:

The only thing that would make this shop better is if there were MORE of everything. I wanted this shop to have every honey– and bee-​related item ever produced. But inventory is expensive, and I’m sure Peter will get there if we all support his business. So go! The Honey Stop deserves your business and is a great thing for the local food scene.

This is a very cool store! They sell raw wildflower honey from regions all over the world. You can sample honey like Brazilian Pepper from Florida, Tropical Blossom from Brazil and my personal favorite, Blackberry from Oregon.
Peter, the owner, is welcoming very knowledgeable about Honey and the benefits of raw honey. What I can tell you, it is really good on toast and in tea. They also have really nice gift baskets. It’s a fun store to visit.

This place is awesome! If you are a honey connoisseur you will love it. Lots of varieties to sample and choose from, great selection! The owner is very knowledgeable and can give you any information you want to know about honey.
Go try the only sweetener from nature that is not processed! Your body will love you.

I’m in honey heaven. So many honeys to choose from, raw and processed. It’s the wine store of honey. Prices are reasonable, cheaper than the stuff you find at whole foods and better quality in my opinion.

If you enjoy tasting honey or using natural products made by bees then The Honey Stop is for you! I sampled all 15 varieties and found I liked the Blackberry from oregon and canadian wildflower the best. I had tea with honey (of course) and talked bees and honey with Peter the owner for long while. A nice space and helpful staff. I’ll bee back when my jars are empty.
