Umm, I kinda love the owner Elisa, and want her to be my new best friend. Everything is so delicious here! The caramel Jaguars are my favorite ever! Dirty Johnnys and Nutty Lisa’s also so good! And the sticky toffee cake is amazing! Perfect little bakery in Millcreek!

The apple torts are TO DIE FOR! Seriously, I hate fruit desserts, but this I could eat three times a day! Soooooo good!

AMAZING customer service! The owner Elisa took my order over the phone (I live out of the state), helped with sizing and flavor options, and HAND-​DELIEVERED a 6 inch chocolate cake and some Dirty Johnnies to Primary Children’s Hospital. Very reasonable delivery fees, too, especially considering the personal attention. She even added a hand-​written note dictated by me for the recipient.
After reading previous reviews, I think it’s safe to agree that she bakes some delicious goods and delivers a high standard of auto we satisfaction! The recipient reported the chocolate cake made for an amazing dinner ;)
Thank you for such a wonderful and smooth experience, can’t wait to make it there to sample all the scrumptious treats for myself!

Received a basket of baked goods as a gift. It was beautifully wrapped/​presented with cute honeybee ribbon, basket, and cellophane.
But inside! The shortbread cookies were my favorite. Perfect cookies with delicious icing (a hint of almond?)
They included a little of everything (cookies, bars, cake, tea cakes) so it was great to sample and go back for seconds.
I will definitely be stopping in here to pick up baked goods!

I took my son here for his 5^th birthday and it was awesome! VERY kid friendly and they even teach baking classes there for kids. The cakes were delicious! we will 100% be back

Fun friendly staff with excellent tasting sweets. They were having a party on the other side of the bakery and were decorating cakes and things.
I love how everything wasn’t overly sweet and just had a great fresh taste to it.
Looks like our choices were limited in the late afternoon. Need to go back earlier in the day and try some other goodies. Loved the dirty Jonny’s. It fixed my sugar craving and then some.

This place is the best! It is dangerous that I live so close by. I first was introduced to their goodies when a neighbor brought by a housewarming gift bag of goodies from here. We devoured them so quickly that I went back a few days later. And now I can’t help but stopping by every so often when I need a cookie fix! Everything I’ve had from here is outstanding.
They also have the cutest cupcake decorating station for kids — I haven’t done it yet but will definitely bring my 3 year old soon. They also have fun holiday themed activities. I took my son to the cookies with Santa activity — they brought in an adorable Santa who read Night before Christmas to the kids. Then all the kids got to visit with Santa and got a goodie bag of milk and cookies to take home. It was such a treat, we will definitely be back next year.

The best cakes I have ever had! Tastes just like your moms homemade cakes and priced so low! The owner is the nicest person and so fun to talk to. She even makes Pavlovas and I can’t wait to try one! The 6″ size cake is perfect for gifts!

We just had a birthday party for my 4 year old here and it was darling! The kids had a great time!

Excellent bakery tucked away in Millcreek. Very warm and inviting interior: perfect place to sit and relax. The frosting (yes, frosting) is to die for.

The cakes here are amazing! I’ve been able to sample several of them and they were all delicious. I will definitely be making a trip here to try other items.

This is a cute little bakery that’s hidden behind the new Provisions restaurant (the old Lugano’s). I went in there after reading some great reviews and seeing pictures of things I’d never heard of, i.e. Dirty Johnnies and Caramel Jaguar Bars. The store was really cute, small, not much your typical bakery which may be unappealing for some. Basically, there’s no overwhelming smell of fresh baked cookies, breads, etc. that knock you off your feet. Cute, nonetheless.
Speaking of overwhelming, the selection is quite the antithesis of that so don’t go in with huge expectations of a Willy Wonka-​esque plethora of goodies. However, what they lack in quantity, they certainly make up for in quality. I only purchased 3 things; Dirty Johnnies, Caramel Jaguar Bars, Shortbread Cookies. I liked the Dirty Johnnies. Yep, liked. My husband, on the other hand, probably would have tackled a group of starving toddlers from a third world country to get his hands on one. But my preference was for the Caramel Jaguar Bars. Typically I would never choose the dessert option with oats, because, healthy, but these were buttery, caramely (just go with it), sweet, salty, simply delicious. And the shortbread cookies, I didn’t waste my time (calorie intake) but my toddler’s face looked like a crime scene from that red frosting. Sigh.
All-​in-​all, a SOLID 4 stars. I wish they had a larger selection of treats but I think the quality of their products easily makes up that.

This is one of the best bakeries I’ve been to. The location is a little discreet but it’s well worth the visit. The feel of the store is very welcoming and warm. Feels like going to a friend’s house. The owner and all her employees are friendly and warm.
The cakes though are the best part for sure. Thick, rich, and delightful. My favorite part is how moist they are. Very possibly the best cakes I’ve had. My favorites are the German chocolate and the coconut cakes. The luscious Dave lemon cake is also amazing, very tart but sweet too.
The brownies are also ridiculously good. The name Dirk Johnny fits really well. I don’t have kids but if I did I feel like the kid section would be great fun.
Definitely worth a visit and likely many more. Hope this helps

I like this place. It is quaint and hidden a bit, but inside is almost like a parlor of someone’s house. It’s almost as if someone made their dream of having an interior of their business come true. I back that. I think it’s set up very well for that and I really admire all the effort that went into this.
This, however, is not a place for me.
I don’t want to come off sexist and say this is geared for those of the fairer sex, so instead, I’ll just say that it is of greater appeal for those with a passion or strong interest in baking, especially cakes. I’ve already noted that I have historically done (and continue to do) next to no baking and I’m not a big dessert guy, but I’ve wanted to go check this place out since it opened up.
While I greatly enjoyed my time with the wonderful girl at the counter while I was there, I also was a bit confused as to why there was a «Hive» in the name, as honey not only appears as not a dominant ingredient, but perhaps is not a used ingredient at all.
That aside, it’s easy to miss the bars and stuff and you’re probably looking for those if you’ve come for the famed Dirty Johnny. Tear your gaze away from the cake case and look due South. That Dirty Johnny is everything everyone says it is. Cookies I got were much less impressive. I didn’t try the cake (I see you mad-​dogging me out of the corner of your eye and I don’t want you to think me more a glutton than you already do), but the cakes did look pretty good. If I wanted a cake, I would head there first, no question.
Would I go here again? Probably (I swear, I’m not a glutton. Quit giving me that look!), but only if I had a reason for doing so. Maybe if they expand their treat lineup, I’ll revisit this… as for now, it’s solid but unspectacular.

I stopped by The Baking Hive coincidentally during their Grand Opening. They had treats layered beautifully on tree stumps and I tried so many baked goods I’m surprised I didn’t become diabetic on the spot.
Since then we have stopped in periodically and each time have loved every treat from their shortbread cookies to their Dirty Johnnies (Jonny? Jonnies?) which should have a warning labeled underneath with: «One Hit, that’s it!». All you need is one bite to get hooked and there’s no going back. I’ve even had friends drive up from Provo because the craving got too overpowering to resist and they needed a Dirty Johnnie RIGHT.NOW.
I’ve also come in while they’ve hosted a baking party for little girls and it looked absolutely whimsical. I was jealous that I couldn’t be wearing plastic glitter crowns and a synthetic princess dress while stuffing my face gleefully with frosting and mini cupcakes. So uhh, basically-​bring yo kids, bring yo wife. Because they’re treating everybody here.

Most adorable little local bakery ever! Treats are hand-​baked daily by Elisa, the sweet owner. The inside of the shop looks like Martha Stewart designed it.
Most amazing place ever to bring younger kids– they have a little room where kids can put on tiny aprons, color on their own paper chefs hat, and use sprinkles/​frosting/​candy to decorate baked goods. Awesome place for kids birthday party, playdate, or primary activity. Elisa also does classes and private events for kids/​teens wanting to learn how to bake.
Just took a bite of the German Chocolate Cake– OMGoodness! Amazing. In addition to a nice array of traditional treats, The Baking Hive also has Gluten Free brownies and tea caked today.

Well, I’m thrilled that this most adorable bakery opened very close to me, right in Millcreek. This place is legit! Everything I’ve ever tried here (Dirty Johnny, Caramel Jaguar, soft-​bake Scottish shortbread cookies, German Chocolate and Red Velvet cakes – so a lot of things) ARE AMAZING! Honestly, SO SO good. You can tell the ingredients are quality and desserts are rich and absolutely DELISH!
Also of note is that Elisa (the owner and head baker) is pretty much the most friendly, nicest person you could hope to come across. She teaches kids baking classes on weekday afternoons and my daughter absolutely LOVES them. Best money on kid’s lessons I’ve ever spent! CHECK IT OUT. You’ll be glad you did!

This place is tucked away like a best kept secret!!! It is the cutest little bakery and the owner Elisa is the sweetest, friendliest person ever! She has studied and working all over the world in Ireland, Scotland, Los Angeles, and more. We loved hearing her stories and how some of her recipes came to be.
Oh and her desserts… To dieeee for. Dirty Johnny, caramel jaguar, sugar cookies and more!!! Amazing. Also cakes and pastries too!!!
She offers baking classes for both kids and adults and the cutest little cupcake frosting station with endless toppings for kids with adorable aprons and chef hats!
You can tell she is so passionate about food and baking and it really makes going to this place so fun! Luckily we live close by and will be returning often and definitely plan to take one of her classes once they start up for adults!!!

Oh, sure, I could go on and on about this place. Small, single-​owner neighborhood business, right behind the former Lugano, now Provisions.
Small, cute, homey? Yes. Family friendly with events and activities? Yes again. A wide array of European, mostly UK-​inspired treats? As you may have guessed, yes.
All you really need to know, though, is Dirty Johnny. Cookie, brownie, and fudge frosting in one inexpensive treat. We got a box full of things and you should try them all, but this is your mission.
Dinner at Provisions, skip dessert in favor of Baking Hive. It’ s a plan.

Adorable shop right in the heart of Millcreek. It’s hard to spot, it’s right behind Provisions with a good amount of parking.
Elisa is the founder /​owner /​head chef and she is AMAZING. The most friendly and kind person. She just radiates happiness. Everyone that knows Elisa loves her.
Do I sound like I’m gushing? I am! And haven’t even gotten to the desserts yet.
Today I sampled almost everything on the entire menu during The Baking Hive open house. All of it was divine.
The Dirty Johnnys were a standout … These are a MUST. I would go out of my way just to get one of these.
Her holiday Pavlova was perfection.
All cakes, cookies and cupcakes were moist (moist! Everyone’s favorite word) and delicious and just the right amount of sweet. The German Chocolate and spice cake were two favorites.
The Baking Hive also offers adult and child cooking classes, birthday parties, and has a cookie decorating station for the kids full of candies and sprinkles and toppings.
This darling shop is such a great addition to Millcreek and Elisa a huge asset to the community.
