So Cupcake

So-​so. I’m not sure if the cupcake I bought today was baked today or even yesterday. The icing and cake was hard. After weaving in and out of all the children from a birthday party that was held there, I felt like I was intruding. I love the story behind this place, but feel like they need to focus more on quality.

These cupcakes were the worst thing I have ever tried. I took one bite of it and the icing was so bad, my 7 year old son could make better icing.
I was so excited to try these cupcakes and I was so disappointed. I know it was Halloween themed so maybe they scared all the flavour out.

Every time I want something sweet I always think «Is So Cupcake Open?»
It’s usually not at the strange hours I want cupcakes. They are very yummy! Try the Bacon Vanilla, Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate, and the Salted Caramel Chocolate Cupcakes!
Yum.

It’s easy to see why So Cupcake expanded to a new location once you taste their cupcakes. They have a good variety of flavors, some regulars and some daily specials, in both mini-​cupcake and full-​cupcake sizes. Many have fillings in complementary flavors. Both the buttercream frosting and cream cheese frosting are thick and sweet and delicious. Stop in for just one, or a dozen, special order any combination you can think of (even gluten free!), or have their cupcake truck visit your event. My favorite flavors here are cinnamon & sugar, starry night vanilla, and German chocolate.

I was very disappointed with my experience with So Cupcake, As I ordered I thought everything was going to be fine and exactly how I wanted because that’s what they made me feel like. Later that day, they give me a call back and said they couldn’t do the decorations I wanted and I brushed it off understandingly and said that was fine we could change the way the cake was decorated. On the day of our event, we find out that the cake didn’t even have the simple «happy birthday» on it. What in the?! Are you serious? Their cake and cupcakes themselves weren’t even moist, it’s the least they could have done since their name is so CUPCAKE. I called and complained and the girl that I spoke to didn’t even sound apologetic or anything. Later that day the owner gave me a call and left a voicemail saying sorry and that he would give me two dozen mini cupcakes for free next time I wanted to order from them. So I thought okay maybe I’ll give them another chance since he at least called me back to apologize, I gave him a call back three times and he didn’t even bother to call back or anything. Were you just kidding?! All in all, I would just go elsewhere. NEVER again would I go to them. Such a terrible experience!

I think I found my new cupcake place. It has been 2yrs for me trying to locate a good cupcake place due to moving away from my home town in CA. I was here this past Saturday and bought a red velvet, maple bacon, strawberry and chocolate cupcakes. I shared them with my hubby and they were delicious. I recommend this place for cupcakes, must try. Btw, friendly place and great customer service. Don’t forget to get a punch card.

I was pretty disappointed with these cupcakes. I honestly find it hard to believe the cupcakes I purchased were made that day. I got 2 red velvet, a bacon maple and a salted caramel. I took a bite of each one and then threw them out. There were a little on the dry side and lacked flavor. I probably wont be back again.

So Cupcake? More like, «So Ok».

This place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star! Worst customer service ever! The cupcakes were so tasteless, even cupcakes made from a Betty Crocker box are better, I ordered a tea and coffee as well and she warm the water In a microwave, and when I ask for cream for my coffee she told me they only had milk and left the big bottle of milk on the counter for me to serve, I felt like I was doing all her work! The cupcakes were so plain and simple, I was hoping for more, what a dissappoiment! Never going back ! Never!

Meh… Last couple times I have been in there the girl working (same one each time) seems put out to help me. Cupcakes aren’t super amazing either. I feel like you should have better customer service if you aren’t going to have memorable cupcakes

Are they trying to go out of business?
Stopped in a 9:30am this morning to place an order for a dozen cupcakes to be picked up at 4pm. I simply wanted initials written in the icing. I was told that everything had been decorated for the day and my only option was Apple flavored cupcakes. I thought I was on candid camera. I was giving them 6.5 hours for this «custom» order and they said NO! Keep in mind, cupcakes are pretty much ALL they do.
It takes the skill level of a six year old to be cupcake baker and this trio of «bakers» were obviously overwhelmed with their «busy» Tuesday. I used to have these mediocre cupcakes delivered once in a while but they have lost a customer.

SO Cupcakes is SO Delicious!
After moving out of Utah, I’ve been on the search for a cupcake replacement for two years. Nobody in WA has come close. This is a must stop whenever I’m back in town.
I’ve been a So Cupcakes regular for 6+ years.
My fav flavors are always the cream filled ones. They are super moist and never a disappointment. Banana Cream Pie is first on my list and Strawberry Cheesecake is a close second. These two flavors are specialty flavors. Their regular flavors are ones like vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, carrot cake, and key lime pie. Specialty flavors are hit and miss, but if you call a day in advance they usually can make flavors upon request.
The main reason why I buy from So Cupcakes is not primarily for me but for co-​workers. They will specialty wrap individual cupcakes in pink boxes tied up in brown or pink ribbon. They are absolutely adorable and make the perfect thank you gift. They can also wrap boxes of four which I’ve given out for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and Birthdays. They are always a hit.
All the flavors are super tasty it makes it tough to decide. Instead of purchasing the regular sized cupcakes, I often choose the minis so everyone can have samplings of everything.
This will always be one of my stops for unique and delish gifts!
P. S. The service is OUTSTANDING! I’ve come in before with an order of 30 individual wrapped cupcakes needing ribbon for each box. They’ve never stopped smiling as they’ve helped me. It’s always welcoming when I walk in!

My girlfriend ordered 2 dozen of the cupcakes from here for my shower. They were mini size but I dont know if thats the standard size. Four different kinds from red velvet to a light cinnamon to other kinds but honestly, they all tasted the same. Not impressed.

I guess if I actually liked sweets this would be a pretty cool place? But I did try the bacon and maple cupcake. And it tasted just like waffles with syrup and bacon. MMMMMM… I am sure I will come back sometime. Maybe they will have a chicken wing cupcake just for me.
