Tons of great options for sandwiches. You can get whole or half, or a lunch special that includes a drink, dessert, chips or orzo salad(which us delish) and the prices are very reasonable. I really liked my veggie sandwich cutely named«the yummy hummy». Good luck parking though ! I definitely want to come back and try other sandwiches.

Visiting from out of town and found this cool sandwich shop. Great sandwich(BLT a la Rick)… highly recommend the orzo pasta side and the salted caramel rice crispy treat! Would totally do it again!

I am the one who doesn’t like to eat at chains when I travel. I read the reviews and this place was spot on with all the good reviews! Had the caprese and its was delish! I’m gluten free and they had some amazing bread as an alternative as well as a sweet krispie treat! Yum! Here for convention and I will bring my entire team back this week for more!

This gets 4.5 stars? I got the gouda smoker, and felt it was just a typical sandwich, nothing special. The BBQ/Garlic sauce didn’t mix well, bbq is a very strong sweet flavor and it doesn’t go well with garlic. Thought the whole sandwich didn’t fit well and the bread wasn’t toasted nor good quality. Will not go back.

This place is great! Low key atmosphere, fantastic food and decent prices. I highly recommend the Nutty Flora salad and the Not-so-Average-Joe sand which(on focaccia). I did the ½ salad-sandwich and it was perfect(also comes with a small desert). Finally, the lemonade and iced tea were solid. I’ll be back!

So many sandwich options to choose from, you can’t go wrong. Get the orzo pasta as a side. Highly recommend The Natural.

Always good food. Servings are very hearty and the price is about on par with the rest of the options on Main St. Lunchtime is always packed, so I recommend going at either 11am or 1pm during weekdays otherwise you’ll be in for a bit of a wait.

Great gluten free options here. The gluten free bread is a $ 1 more, but it’s worth it if you can’t have gluten but desperately need a sandwich. I had the smoked Gouda and it was sublime. Gluten free dessert. Ahhh how thoughtful, even though I don’t need to eat gluten free, it’s nice to know I can if I want to. There is an Awesome Italian guy that takes your order. He is super nice and will give you the low down on all the best options. Great tasting food. Love it!

The Robin’s nest is a great little sandwich shop in downtown SLC, although they serve much more than sandwiches. I ordered the madam with avocado which was a really yummy sandwich with good ingredients. I was expecting their ciabatta to be a bit crispier but it was still delicious nonetheless. I chose to go with their orzo pasta as a side, which is something they’re apprentice known for. I hadn’t really had anything like it before. It was a good addition to the meal, but not my favorite. I won’t knock them for the side though because I really don’t have anything to compare it with. The meal also came with a treat and a drink. I went with a chocolate chip cookie which was terrific and freshly baked. I also chose their freshly squeezed lemonade, which honestly boosted the whole meal. It was tart and not overly sweet. You could tell it was made from real lemons and that made the difference. The service here is phenomenal and fast. Every customer is treated well and the atmosphere has a nice, straightforward feel.

Based on what I received today on carry out, I will not give Robin’s Nest a good review. I got a small Papa salad, and my friend got the Gouda sandwich. The salad was a joke, and the price of $ 5.50 a bigger joke … the same for the ½ sandwich. 1 cup of greens, with old tomatoes, a few sliced olives, a couple of artichokes and mushrooms is not $ 5.50 worth. See the photo, and judge for yourself. The sandwich was totally lacking on the toppings … another $ 5.50. I could have gotten a better salad and sandwich at Subway … or Café Zupas. Total rip off. The reason I gave it 2 stars, instead of 1, was because the dressing was good. That’s all.

This place is superb! Sandwiches were made pretty quick with great lunch deal! I ordered the Twisted Tuna & my hubby ordered the Cowboy. Yummyz! The sandwiches are huge so ½ will fulfill your tummy but it doesn’t hurt to get more!

I’ve been going here for years! I love a good sandwich and what I love most is when the owner(Robin) is making the sandwiches herself, so I know they are being made with care, love and from scratch! My first time going was during college finals at the U and I was having a horrible day. I walk in and it was busy of coarse since it was lunch time, I get to the register and she looked at my pouty face and said I can tell your having an off day, so here is my homemade rice krispy treat and a drink free of charge with such a sweet smile. Even though the store was crazy busy she still noticed me and that just made the food taste extra good on top of it already being one of the best sandwiches.(the heritage is my fave and the sinker). The rice krispie treats are awesome and the pasta salad is a must! Best sandwiches still!!!

Literally flew in to Salt Lake City and figuratively landed in the Robin’s Nest! A very fortuitous landing! The Robin’s Nest is an outstanding not so hidden gem of a place to grab a salad or a sandwich. Great food! Great service! Great vibe! Fly to the Robin’s Nest!!!

In deciding on a last place to stop before flying out of Utah, we turned to Unilocal. We decided to try Robin’s Nest, which is highly rated. Parking is either street parking or a parking garage and a short walk. The place was packed with a moderate line upon entering, but being close to 12:45, we were able to find a table for 4. The line moved pretty quickly. The wait for food was not long. My kids ordered grilled cheese and pb and honey sandwiches. I ordered the Robin Grill(which I highly recommend), and my mom had the New Yorker. She felt the blend of flavors of Pastrami, onions tomatoes, pickles and horseradish mustard, on Ciabatta bread, was excellent. The Robin Grill is prepared with thin crispy bacon, perfectly ripened avocado, tomato and provolone cheese. With the lunch special, each sandwich comes with a side of orzo pasta or chips. We opted for the pasta since it is healthy. Kids lunch also came with soda and a cookie. All the ingredients tasted fresh, including the bread! If we lived here we would frequent this place. Staff is very friendly, and easy to talk to!

Their gluten-free bread option is life-changing for those of us with intolerance. They also offer vegan and vegetarian sandwiches(PLURAL!). They’re fast, the staff is great, and the restaurant is a nice spot to sit and eat. My only complaint is they won’t punch your card for a grilled cheese. They told me I’d have to order a sandwich with meat to get a card going. That was a bummer.

Great place to eat! Fresh, friendly, helpful & tasty. I ordered the sink, without mayo, meal. Comes with huge sandwich, small pasta or chips, bite dessert & drink. Amazing! The sandwich is flavorful without being salty, bread is a tad sweet but not too much. Well made meat throughout & toppings. Pasta tad oily & maybe salt. Overall super lunch, great price 10.78.

I’ve been here a handful of times, and have really enjoyed every one of my visits! The first time I visited this place, I arrived just as they were opening(10:30) and was told they wouldn’t be ready until 11, so I came back. Even after coming back and ordered at 11, I didn’t get my food until 11:15, despite being the only customer. That kind of left a bad initial impression for me, but I’ve avoided coming too early and it’s been great since! My go-to has been their lunch special that comes with a C.O.B.A.L.T. half sandwich, orzo salad, and bird’s nest dessert. It was good! The sandwich was well-sized and the chicken was hot and moist. The sandwich itself was flavorful with sufficient vegetables, and I enjoyed it! I really like their orzo salad – the orzo was well-cooked and there were bites of pine nuts I’d find with every spoonful. I wish this portion was bigger, but it was adequate, and I’d get it again. Bird’s nest was a bit on the sweet side, but it’s a yummy dessert none-the-less. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s fried wonton noodles dipped in a chocolate peanut butter(possibly butterscotch as well), folded into a nest and topped with chocolate eggs and marshmallow paste. Yes, sweet, sweet, sweet. Besides slow first impression, this place has done me good overall, and I’d come back! It’s a nice place to get a real sandwich downtown for a reasonable price.

This is a very quirky sandwich shop that serves some of the best sandwiches I have had in Salt Lake City. I had the Flower Child which was avocado, tomato, red onion, olives, lettuce, melted Swiss, and a special ranch dressing served on toasted wheat. DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this place!

Super cute little sandwich shop, and it was packed when we came for lunch. I got the gouda smoker, which is turkey breast, bacon, tomato, lettuce, smoked gouda and robin’s garlic BBQ spread on ciabatta bread. And my husband got the big dipper, which is a pretty traditional french dip sandwich. Both of the sandwiches were really good, I loved how thinly sliced the turkey breast was, and they didn’t scrimp either. My issue was that I feel like the bread is pretty thin and so soft that it just squished down to mushy nothingness halfway through the sandwich, especially on the french dip. In need of a heartier bread for sure. Also, the cookie was not the best, I’ll stick with the orzo pasta or chips in the future. I feel like for the quality of ingredients, these sandwiches are very reasonably priced. The staff was funny and friendly as well. I will for sure be back for more.
