Came out one time 8 weeks ago and I haven’t seen them since. The first time they came out unannounced, so I wasn’t home and my gate was locked so I had to reschedule and asked them several times to call before they came the second time. Second time was unannounced as well, but I was ready because I called several times to see what day to expect them. It had been about 7 weeks since I had heard from them, so I just recently called them and their automated service told me that my next scheduled service was May 2. I left my gate unlocked all day today, received no phone calls(which I pretty much just don’t expect at this point) and they never even showed up! Beyond frustrated! I’ve heard a lot of good things about this company, but they continue to disappoint.

Horrible customer service. Show up unannounced, perform work that is unexpected. One of the customer service reps talked me out pest control because«it was not worth it», her words. One technician showed up at our house and argued on his cell phone on our sidewalk with another customer while I was on our front porch. I will never recommend Trugreen to anyone and will not call them back for another season.

I signed up for work to be performed at two of my rental properties in 2014. The work performed was adequate. I was not told they would perform any further work. In 2015 Tru-green performed service again without any notification, consent, or agreement from me. I was billed for the first service. When I called Tru-green to ask that the amount be refunded, the representative told me she could not refund the amount. I then asked for the manager. When I explained the situation to the manager she first argued that I shouldn’t complain about having to pay for work they performed, then hung up on me when I protested.

I signed up for TruGreen’s Truhealth Lawn Plan, paying in advance for 7 treatments. It took them several weeks to come out and do the first. They claim they will come by every 4 – 8 weeks, but they did not schedule the second visit until 9 weeks later, and they didn’t show up for this(nor did they notify me). The are proving to be very unreliable, I would not hire them again, and would definitely recommend against one of their prepayed plans.

We ordered a lawn service from Trugreen last year and were amazed by the results. We only got one service because we figured we could manage on our own after that. While the guy was spreading the treatment, my wife asked him what the stuff was and he said it was just the same stuff you could get from the store. We were definitely NOT impressed by that. So this year we decided to get the stuff from the store and do it ourselves. Today we came home to find a sticker saying our lawn was treated and an invoice for the cost of treatment. I called them and told them we never ordered another treatment to which they responded verbatim«Our services will continue year after year, until you notify us to discontinue.» I remember succinctly that my wife declined any further lawn treatments after the first one. I, personally, would say that is notification of discontinuing service with them. I was quite angry and questioned why we were never told this. To this they responded that on the invoice, at the bottom, this is written. There is NO contract, NO verbal agreement, only the small font at the bottom of the invoice stating such agreement. To this, they replied again verbatim the same statement. I asked them what I was supposed to do and they said they would cut the invoice in half. Given we don’t want any collections people coming knocking at our door, i agreed and told them I would file a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau for their unethical practices, to which she replied, «Thank you, is there anything else I can help you with?!!» Are you kidding? WOW. Had they approached the situation better, I would have been happy to pay for the service, given that we were happy with the results but with this type of service, I would not recommend this to anyone. Go with someone else, BUT always read the fine print!
