The food was pretty good. Smoked wings and ahi poke to start were both very good. Entrees all were good also. Lamb chops, fish, pork chops. Atmosphere all good if only I could get a real sized drink I may start really liking Utah.

I’ve dined here twice in the last 3 months — once for a work lunch and once for after-work drinks/apps. Had the fish and chips for lunch and the cheese/bread/charcuterie plate for dinner. Food is great, service is great, the beer is of course delicious. I’ve been back several more times to buy beer. And those super cool 801 beercan glasses. They need to make more of that dark coffee beer though, and keep it stocked. It’s.

Enjoyed both beer and the food. Beer is of course quite subjective, I tried samples and enjoyed them, not my most favorite but good! The service was very good, we went on Tuesday, slow night, one bartender — very friendly girl! They close at 9pm, we arrived at 8:30pm, however, it was enough time for ordering food, too. I got fish and chips. SOGOOD! Chips are literally chips, not fries, I am indifferent to them but the fish was GREAT! MY fiancé got their chicken sandwich with sweet potato tots. Sandwich tasty but the tots were outstanding! I would order a bucket of those and eat them all :) Good time there.

We had a nice time at Uinta. The beer was great(try the Flamingose if you like a refreshing beer with a bite). The trout fish & chips were great, as were the dinner rolls. Our server, Cardi, was terrific. She took lots of time helping us pick out the perfect beers. Overall, a great experience.

Not a bad place at all — Their seasonal and barrel aged beers are well executed and their salami and cheese platter was absolutely delicious. Superb local cheeses from Beehive Cheese along with a very well spiced salami. The toasted bread slices that came with the cheese platter were also very well seasoned although slightly over toasted. In the past I’ve had a few of their beers that were above average but not overly spectacular(being biased when coming from the beer mecca known as San Diego). After having having their barrel aged beers, I’m definitely impressed. The flavors(like most Utah beers) are well balanced and executed and not overly strong in any given direction. All of the(seasonal /barrel aged) beers I samped were at least 4/5, with their Cockeyed Copper especially standing out. Definitely worth a visit even though it is off the beaten path.

I loved their selection of craft beer, it wasn’t over priced either! They have a cool souvenir shop as well. All the bartenders we encountered were very friendly and patient when providing recommendations on beers. The only thing I would recommend is a simpler food menu.

HYVE Honey ale, more like BLAND boring ale. So just like that weak statement, it is the same as every uinta beer. Yawn.

Adorable little brewery in SLC. We signed up to take a 4pm tour, $ 15 which came with a tour, 5 samplers and an app plate. The place is really cute, has a few tables and a nice, brand new looking bar. It’s very new, even smelled like freshly cut wood. Moving on, Sara, our tour guide, asked if we wanted a beer before we started the tour so we grabbed a beer and were on our way. She showed us around the brewery and gave us a synopsis on how the beer was brewed for about 45 minutes, very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. After the tour we sat down and had our samplers(per Utah law, you can only have two at a time). I’m going to be a beer snob, but since I have been to quite a few breweries, I feel that I can, the beer is okay, not great(in my humble opinion). All in all we had the 5 samplers and the app plate which consisted of smoked cheese and Havarti with toasted bread, some tater tots, two buffalo wings and some peppers. Cute spot!

This location is terrible but this is a fantastic pub. It’s big & open & has plenty of fun beer selections. I don’t know a lot of people that live anywhere near it so I hope it survives.

Good food and service! Everything has good flavor and a kick of spice! Salami & cheese platter is my favorite but we tried the sausage and tempura today and they were good too!

Wow. Things have changed since the last time I was here. They now have a full on pub menu with great food options including soup and sandwiches and food specials(e.g. Taco Tuesday and French dip sandwiches). They also have several limited edition seasonal beers on draft that you can sample two at a time. Bartenders are super friendly too. I definitely recommend taking an Über if coming from downtown. I’ll be back.

This was a disappointing lunch experience. I’d return to try the beers and enjoy the outdoor patio(adding an extra star for the patio). We tried the potato chip nachos– boring, lousy cheese with good bacon and a gross salad. Yikes.

This place has CHANGED big-time! They’ve remodeled the space and completely revamped the menu. And, in this case, change is good. I’ve been eating/drinking here on the regular, since 2012 and have always been a fan. But it was just a cold sandwich, hot soup and beer stop. Now, it’s a full-on restaurant. They have burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, soups and salads. Everything is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The beer menu is stellar and the prices are excellent. Service is laid-back and friendly, but never lacking. I love this place!

Before I had visited Salt Lake City, I had no strong expectations for the local craft beer scene. I guess most non-Utahns like me just write the place off as Mormon Central and assume that means it’s as dry as the Bonneville Salt Flats. Once I arrived and found out that draft beer is limited to 4% ABV, my expectations weren’t much higher. Now that I’ve visited the city twice and sampled a sizable variety of the local beer, I can say that lower ABV doesn’t mean lower quality, and of all the Utah breweries I’ve tried Uinta is probably my favorite. Their new and improved taproom at the brewery is a pleasant place to sit and sample their wares, with a clean aesthetic and big windows to give it an open, sunny feel, matching the disposition of the friendly staff. The bar has a long row of taps, although upon closer inspection many are duplicates, and it turns out that they only serve drafts of their year-round offerings plus a couple of seasonals, but not their rarer bottled beers. At least they offer tasting flights where you can choose your pours, and for pretty cheap, although at 2oz. per pour they’d be hard pressed to charge more. The food was decent, my chicken sandwich had a disappointingly low meat to toppings ratio but the homemade potato chips should be bagged and sold in stores, I’d buy them by the case. Overall this was a solid place to stop for lunch and disprove any false impressions about the current state of Utah/Salt Lake City craft beer. In the future I’d like to see them serve some limited releases and offer brewery tours for nerds like me, but neither of those would stop me from returning next time I’m in town, and they shouldn’t stop you either from enjoying some quality brews and tasty food.

This is a review of the Uinta Brew Pub POST-remodel. This place used to be one of favorite lunch locations due to the beer selection and the build-your-own sandwich and soup menu. The sandwiches in particular were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced to boot. I went there this past week and left feeling disappointed. The other people in my group(also former regulars) shared the same sentiment. Firstly, forget everything you knew about this place if you came before they closed for remodeling late last year(2014) They’ve updated the décor inside and replaced the entire menu with hipster-esque«locally sourced» options ranging from black bean pizza to veggie burgers. I was disappointed that the build-your-own sandwiches were no longer an option but decided to give the new menu a shot. Everyone in my group got something different. I ordered the $ 12 chicken sandwich and felt underwhelmed by what I received considering the high price tag. The sandwich was average at best and was extremely light on actual chicken. Other members of my group had similar sentiments about their food choices as well. They still have beer on tap, which is the saving grace of this place now IMO. Myself and my friends likely won’t be returning in the future. Bring back the original menu!

Cool place to grab a beer after work! They have a little pub, and they serve lunch until three.
