Pretty much the same stuff as the shop down the hall but a pleasant surprise for a traveler to see something a little funky in salt lake aside from the Rockies. The only thing is that the price isn’t friendly.

I usually check here in Terminal 1 for purses and cute shirts. Last time I went to SLC, I got a nice bag, and when I got to the hotel, I saw that it had been damaged. When I went back to the airport, they were very accomodating and took it back without argument. If you have time, check out the same store in Terminal 2: they may have some different inventory.

I’d love to give this place 5 stars as they did offer a bunch of interesting apparel and accessories. Not too pricey but not cheap but what do you expect? You are in an airport. I found some lovely Nomad Galoshes in cowboy boot form and they were too adorable. I almost bought 2 pairs but they didn’t have my size. I did buy a hat for myslef and then one on my way back through via Denver for my sister as a gift. The service was pretty helpful but it is UBEROBVIOUS that they work on commission. The first lady that helped me was this young pretty(Russian?) lady and she was accomodating and looked hard to find a sizse and suggested other similiar items. On my second visit an older lady… Linda or Lidija tried to help me but she was so aggressive and rude she almost scared me. I wanted to walk and not buy anything because I was far from happy or comfortable being around her but I really wanted to buy this fedora for my sister(with the broken feather) so I did. She claimed it wasn’t broken and all I kept asking is if she could check the back for more. Some people can be scary!!!

SLC is your standard no frills airport. However, this shop is one I don’t pass up EVER. I for sure have a weakness for many of the things here! It started out as a place I stopped in to pick up a thing or two for my son. Now, it is ritual for me to wander in to admire a shop that is mostly made up of hand crafted goods from local artists. And, the best thing about it aside from being unique, is the prices. Mildy pricey but well worth every penny. Scarves are my fave to buy but I’ve also picked up some jewelry pieces, shirts and your standard souvenirs too. Stop by if you havent… you wont regret it. It’s located right after you get through the gruelling security. treat yourself!
