This is a great store with very helpful and knowledgable staff, and a very convenient location for us, as it saves us the drive down to Redmond or Issaquah. I can’t count the number of times that I’ve made a quick run to ACE to pick up something small for some home or garage project, and every time, the staff has been wonderful, and I don’t recall an occassion where I didn’t find what I was expecting to find.

This Ace Hardware is the most friendly store in Sammamish! The workers are extremely helpful. I went in to buy some plumbing parts to fix a sink, they showed me all the parts and gave me a quick lesson on how to do it myself. I went home and fixed the sink myself!

REGARDING THE FILTERING ON Unilocal! How can Unilocal place 16 reviews in the filtered section and only 4 in the visible section??? Unilocal!You are flawed. FIX IT! I’m tired of my reviews getting flagged! We’re trying to help the businesses that deserve it and warn people away from bad businesses. This doesnt not help!

I LOVE that I can walk in and find whatever item I’m looking for within a matter of minutes. If I can’t find it on my own, the knowledgeable and helpful employees are right there to help — a huge contrast from the bigger chains! Some items might be slightly more expensive than Home Depot, but well worth it due to the great service at this location.

The folks that work here (the older ones for sure) are the best. Help is always at hand, and although they do offer to help if it looks like you’re head is up at the aisle labels, if you walk with some bit of purpose, they don’t bug you at all.
Unless I know they don’t have it, I head there first! Prices are fair. If you need random screws/​bolts/​nuts/​washers/​nails, the selection is outstanding (Home Depot and Lowes don’t hold a candle to the selection on offer). Lots of random stuff. Fun to browse.

Good store better staff. I grew up going to my local Ace Hardware store with my dad all the time in my home town. I like the store because there is always somebody to ask to help you. You dont have to go hunt a person down like Hime Depot. I also like how small it is. If I need to find something in the store I dont have to pack an over night bag and bring a map so I dont get lost walking 4 – 5 miles around inside the store looking for something specific. I am a very big supporter of small business. I shop here exclusively for my hardware needs.

Prices are pretty middle of the road, which is to be expected given the convenience of the location.
The reason they lose two stars in my mind is that they’re TOO attentive. When I go into a store like that, I like to look around and think about what the best item is to get the job done. I don’t want someone hovering waiting to ask me if I need help. Yet every time I go in there, I get the feeling that I’m being constantly watched, which makes me uncomfortable. They either need fewer employees, or give their current employees more stuff to do to keep them occupied.

This is as close as it gets to an old-​fashioned hardware store in Sammamish. As others have said, I always check Ace Hardware before making the trip to one of the impersonal major hardware retailers. The staff is great – helpful, humorous, and very knowledgeable. I have no idea how they manage to squeeze so many of the odd things I need into their space.
P. S. The «fireballs» at the front counter are just as hot and spicy as I remember as a kid.

Whenever I am at a loss and can’t find what I’m looking for at Home Depot/​Fred Meyer/​Target, this Ace Hardware store comes to the rescue. Green x-​mas decoration wire hooks? Check. Frog Tape? Check. Seriously, they always have it. And, they are right down the street from me! I don’t know why I even bother checking the other places. The sales people are super helpful and easy to find in the store (I’m not sure Home Depot even has employees). I hope this store is able to compete with the big guys and stay afloat. It would be a shame to lose them.

I love these guys, but have no clue how they stay in business.
Need a ¼ key ring? $.09 each. Need that weird screw? $.15 each. Rope? Check. Keys made? Check. Spend more than $ 5? Never!
They are attentive and wonderfully helpful. And the shop has that TARDIS effect once you are inside. Oh, and it is next to the liquor store. Power tools and booze!
