If you have ever been to a Parisian bistro, you will be very comfortable and satisfied with this Bistro in downtown San Anselmo. If you have not, this is the place to learn. It is small, noisy, a bit crowded, and run by a classic older Frenchman who is delightful but not fawning. The décor is French posters, close spaced zinc covered tables, a small bar serving only wines, and small staff. The menu is small and typical bistro fare with moules, home-made hearty soup, crab cakes, and of course steak/frites and the other usual suspects. The wine list is sparse but offering the house white and red(California) 15/half liter and inexpensive French by glass or bottle. A salad of spinach and warm chèvre is so French and excellent. The steak is a nice slice of sirloin, much better and tender than that usually served in France, and doused with a nice butter herb sauce. The moules is a small but adequate serving in a wonderful tarragon wine sauce. A fine place to go for a casual evening. On our visit we arrived early and were seated by the window and the place filled quickly. The owner hugged us on leaving and a bientot. We’ll go back. I

This a hidden gem in Marin. We love the food, and it is an easy place to saunter into for a reasonably priced(for San Anselmo) meal. We always fell welcomed, and always enjoy the food(often, we enjoy it more than we thought we would, and wonder why we don’t get here more than once every two or three months. Everything we have had here is delicious. Discernibly French in preparation, light, and fresh. They have the BEST crème brûlée I have had ANYWHERE. The Steak Frites is reliably tasty, the housemade sausages are sometimes AMAZING, and always at least very good. We highly recommend Bistro 330.

This place is great! It is never as busy as it should be in my opinion and I have no clue why. The owners are nice and friendly! Last time I had the Bistro salad to start which was delicious followed by a Ribeye which was amazing! This time the Caesar salad and salmon — both delicious! Bonus — my two year old spilled water so I used my white dinner napkin to mop up the mess on floor — and it came up white! Clean restaurant! Glad I found this place and will keep coming!

Just got back from dinner at Bistro 360. I love Roxanne(chef/owner) and Albert(waiter/owner). Tonight I went in wanting my caesar salad, steak and frites. But before I could order, Albert told me about the day’s specials which included a delicious spinach soup and pork loin with a yummy light teriyaki veggies al dente and mashed potatoes. As I enjoyed my dinner, I was glad I had deferred to the suggested specials. As some have noted, this is an overlooked gem in San Anselmo. I am glad Bistro 360 is in the neighborhood. It’s a place you can go have fun in a group, or grab a mid-week dinner alone. Bön Appetit!

Appetizers were good, staff friendly but mussels were smelly and old. Wine tasted cheap and overall overpriced. Our first and most likely last time here. Too bad

This place is a hidden gem in San anselmo. Our family has dined here many times over the years, the food and service has always been superb. Something we can not say about any other restaurant. We would also echo the comments of a family atmosphere, you feel like you are dining in a friends home. Thank you to Albert and Roxanne for a wonderful experience.

Too many people on Unilocal take themselves far too seriously. For those that give two stars because the staff did not stop everything and reverence your arrival, for those that don’t understand paying more than $ 15 for all you can eat because your favorite Corp crap charges that, and for those that think their taste in décor should be the De facto standard… move on and spend more time with your mother as she is the only that cares. For the rest of us… this is a great place! I have been coming here for years and love it. The owners are great. The food is always great. The best thing about Bistro 330, as told to me by friends that have followed my recommendation, is you feel like you are in someone’s house… sitting in their kitchen. Trust me on this… you will love it. I am a German and a picky SOB and I come at least once a month,(and I live 70 miles away RT).

French«themed» restaurant I think is the best description. The decorations are some strange mixture of 80s inspired industrial with corny french posters and an accent wall — no idea. I ordered the Steak frites rare($ 23). The steak was quite thin, pale, had some rather large globs of fat in the middle of it, and had herbs on top of it. The fries were sort of commercial looking. My expectation was that the fires would either shoe string fries or something that looked like it was made in house, and the steak would be browned on the outside with a béarnaise sauce or something, nope. Down the street is L’Appart Resto, you’ll pay the same price have better service and the food will actually be french.

I brought my daughter here for her birthday. As always it was big fun. I started with a special — veggie/corn chowder that was off-the-charts good! Followed with a Bistro 330 Salad that was as good as usual. I just hated to share half of it my bride ;-) I had a heck of time choosing from my old favorites — the mussells or the steak each with the pomme frittes, or the hake fish special that my bride had, or the rabbit sausage special, or or or… Ended up with the Mussells and those KILLER pomme frites. I added a couple of glasses of pinot noir and then finished with Crumble of the Day, this time black/blue/rasp-berrie crumble with vanilla bean ice cream. And an espresso. The spice for me is Albert’s dry humour and Roxannes big love. Simply the best place to take people who I really, really care about.

Great place. RozAnee is a great Chef. Her classic crepes are light and delicate with flavors to die for. The Champagne sauce on the mushroom crepes id delicious. I’ve been to this restaurant several times and I think it’s a special location that more people should visit.

Reading some of the negative reviews herein makes me gag. Oh how Marin has changed… so many preciously entitled twits forsaking substance for style… propriety for posturing. The waiter didn’t kiss your bottom, boo-hoo…go soak in a spa-San Anselmo now has a plethora of them just for you. I took my family here for my wife’s birthday recently. Not to be «seen»…not to make the«scene» or «sing«about my expanding portfolio with a chorus of like minded layabouts. We went to support a local business and eat well. That we did… I annoyed wife and children by sampling all their dinners while hoarding my own. Simply put… I now want repeats of everything ! Best Steak Frities outside of Brussels or Paris — simply prepared, melt in your mouth perfection –I’ve spent years in both cities btw. Caesar Salad… perfection. Atmosphere…warm and oh so comfortable… as if my stylish grand dame Aunt had constructed a local Bistro from it off with a sit down natter with the Chef and Waiter along with comp birthday eclairs and you have a remarkably refreshing experience in a true European Bistro– a rare flower in a desert of privileged mediocrity. Oh… Btw… As we were leaving, that monstrous owner-waiter gave my daughter a huge hug and told her to drop by anytime for help with her French homework! Yeah… outrageous behavior.

I have lived in Marin County for years and have never been subjected to such rude and beligerant behavior in any restuarant… It was our first date out together and we wanted to both sit side by side in the booth. I turned the small table sideways so it was wide enough for us to use. There were no other people dining near . He came over and yelled that he hated us for doing that ! We thought he was joking at first, but looking at his angry face we could see he wasnt… Needless to say we walked out and he yelled at us as we reached the door saying… go ahead get out of here! He ruined our evening for us and I suggest«Albert» stay back in the kitchen as he is not good with his customers. The next day I returned to have a conversation about what had happened and he started screaming at me saying he was going to call the police??? The diners in the place last Saturday evenig can attest to that. . ITWASUNBELIEVABLE !!! I suggest any other place to dine but HERE.

I’ve gone here for years and years mostly with my young children and would consider Roxanne(chef/owner) and Albert(waiter/owner) family. Albert is a cranky pants, he’s very French and an acquired taste! But he knows who he is and is shameless about it, and he has a heart of gold. I’ve taken my oldest daughter here since she was about 8 yrs old and now she’s sixteen. I used to take her and a girlfriend there every Friday night, then I’d take them to a movie. It was a tradition that my wife would always arrange. All of my kids absolutely love Roxanne, and are uncomfortable with Albert, they don’t know what to make of him! We have always sat at the counter and Roxanne is simply put, an amazing person. If you ever feel like it, stop in a handful of times. If she’s not too busy she’ll definitely want to get to know you. I stopped in there the other night for the first time in at least a year just to have a beer. It was after they’d closed so she wasn’t too busy. She not only remembered the names of all five of my children but remembered what each of them was involved in and asked about them, and asked about our dog by name, who she’s only met once!(She’s a major dog person) She has an amazing memory and is a remarkable chef. They have a very small menu and it changes little, but what she prepares is five star. When I walked in the other night, Albert was like, «What the f… are you doing here. Get out of here, we’re closed.». So he has a very harsh, sarcastic sense of humor, but he would not accept payment for my beer(they’ve sometimes comped me full meals just to show their appreciation — maybe because he can’t do it any other way!) and when I left the other night, he was sitting at a table talking with some customers, and yelled across the room, «We love you Thomas, it’s so great to see you.» I think the place(and Roxanne and Albert) is a jewel, truly a jewel and an asset to the town. I’d like it and them to always be there.

Very mixed, startling experience here. Came here for a quick glass of champagne before going to dinner at Sushi 69. Honestly, when we walked in I wanted to stay and have dinner here. The restaurant interior is totally authentic, French bistro, and the aromas were to die for! Asked if we could sit at the counter and have a quick glass. The waiter(owner? not sure) was incredibly rude and literally took his arm and swept the counter of the plate and silverware that were on the counter. WTF? After he plunked our wine down, we didn’t not have any further contact with him. We consulted the menu, figured out how much our wine was, and left money. we finished our wine as quickly as humanly possible and hightailed it out of there. It was literally the most bewildering restaurant experience we have EVER had. Its a shame, too, because the food smelled sooo good!!!

We came in for a relaxed family dinner and were blown away by the food and the warm reception from the owners. We felt the bill was very reasonable and the quality was on par with this area’s standards of fresh. The menus aren’t massive but they offer enough variety to keep everyone happy. The wines are all offered by the bottle or glass which makes for a smaller selection but a very affordable one. Cheers, we’ll be back again soon!

I truly adore this place. The food is perfectly prepared and Albert and Roxanne quickly treat you like regulars. I’m not a big red meat eater, but after I tried their steak frites, with a savory dollop of garlicky herby butter melting into the tender steak, I was hooked. And I confess to letting the juices soak into the neighboring crispy frites, indulging them in all their calorie-laden goodness. PROS: Try the Bistro 330 salad, a simple preparation of wild greens, grapes, candied pecans and blue cheese. The salmon is wonderful, as is the chicken — both dishes are prepared differently, based on seasonal ingredients and accompaniments. You won’t go wrong with the moules frites or steak frites. I also like the meaty, chunky crab cakes. CONS: On some nights, it’s quite quiet. You’ll wish for more people to be there — not because you want more buzz and noise, instead because you’ll like the proprietors and food so much you’ll wish they had a full house every night to ensure they keep going for years to come.
