They offer non-dairy boba tea! I’ve been on the hunt for this for over a year and I finally came across it here in a most unexpected place. And it was lovely. I ordered mine in Thai tea flavor with soy milk, and they blended it like a frappé – very refreshing on a hot day. The cost was reasonable, but it looks like their food prices are a tad high. Nevertheless, I intend to make a return visit next time I’m in San Anselmo… and I may just get a larger tea.

Fantastic coffee here. I have been buying beans here for years and their quality had always been fantastic. Staff are polite and efficient, pastries are nice and the location opposite the park is fabulous.

Great service and excellent coffee. The muffins are awesome and more importantly the staff is always friendly and efficient. I come here at least a couple times a week.

I’ve only had coffee, tea, and snacks here… but all of it was good by me. Peets is my usual go to because I’m a fan of the chai there. Marin Coffee Roasters chai doesn’t disappoint either — nothing like that junk at SBux that passes for chai. Anyway, good atmosphere with a little live music some weekends. My optometrist is right next door, so I’ll have to pop in for lunch some time soon. Parking in the area can be hard to find, but give them a try if you’re around San Anselmo.

Weak, overly-sweetened mocha and specialty lattes. Interesting ideas for drinks, but the execution isn’t perfect. It’s alright in a pinch but there are other local spots that I prefer.

Always friendly people greeting me here with good coffee, tasty lattes and fresh food. It’s a bright and sunny spot that attracts the many Marin cyclists looking for some coffee and snacks after a long workout as well as families with kids grabbing sandwiches. As a writer who works from home a lot, this is a great place to work for an hour or two while having a bite. Tip: I love the Greek salad: the dressing is so delicious and if you add a scoop of tuna, it’s a protein-packed lunch that’ll keep you going all day. I have yet to attend one of their weekend live music events but I have walked by and it seems lively and fun.

Stopped in for a quick coffee on a Sunday. There was a live music setup, but no one playing at the time. There’s an area to order fresh ground coffee to take home, and then a regular register to order a wide variety of lattes and teas(including blended bubble tea). We got a Chain Tea Latte and a regular Latte. Both where alright, the chai tea latte was heavy on the chai. The atmosphere is cute, but as they also serve breakfast and pastries it was a little cramped — we were practically on top of a breakfast table whilst ordering coffee at the counter.

Just an update — I keep going back once in a while, hoping this place will start to grow on me. Well, the turkey chili I liked at first was served to me very overcooked recently. It was as though it had been reheated many times — kind of like tomato paste So, one thing I liked went downhill. Cashier-kitchen communication(or, perhaps, comprehension) isn’t great, or, well, not right for the people there. I think cashiers should learn some Spanish, and the kitchen guy(s) could learn more English — a middle ground. My last two visits had miscommunications between cashier and kitchen which resulted in both my last two orders being wrong in different ways — one minor, one major. Both required waiting a while for things to be fixed. Also, there’s a young woman there who is SO sullen. She is not the best first impression. She’s not rude, but is a minimalist with communication and friendliness. If this were my business, I’d never have her in contact w/customers. Finally, the nice looking salad that went with my sandwich was made with very fresh greens, but I was surprised that the dressing was extremely sweet and had *zero* acid. I wonder if the kitchen person grabbed a bottle of simple syrup instead? But, it looked like an oil on the leaves — so maybe sugar and oil? I looked for lemon wedges, but didn’t see any. When I put my plate in the bus tub, I noticed another barely eaten salad there too. This was the sweetest salad I’ve had in my life. So, I’m staying at two stars. I wonder if the people who give it more than 3 stars are just rating their great friends that they meet there, and/or the music???

I grabbed a cappuccino here before my hair appointment next door. I found it to be pretty good, pretty standard as far as cappuccinos go! The only reason I’m giving this place 4 out of 5 stars is that I felt like this was a «local» place that catered to their regulars better than new customers. I didn’t feel like the staff were very cheery or friendly unless they knew you which is typical of a «local» spot. I guess I’m saying I didn’t feel particularly welcome… oh well, I will go here again because I don’t judge a book by its cover and it may have been an off day.

Good place to get some work done. Lots of space, free wifi, pretty quiet most of the time. No one has mentioned their salads, which are actually awesome. The salad menu itself is very standard — Greek, Caesar, Cobb, etc. which is disappointing at first especially when so many other creative salads are out there. But the price is right(7 ish dollars), the portions are huge, and the execution is anything but standard. My Cobb salad was great, ingredients fresh. The dark roast is awesome too and I don’t usually like dark roast.

Marin coffee roasters has the best coffee in town. Their food menu has great salads, monster burgers, and tempting pastries. If you like tea, they’ve got options. There are always people here and for good reason. The staff is friendly too.

This is the unofficial town hall of San Anselmo. Super nice people take care of the crowd, the whole town stops by at some point during the week, the odd band plays on the weekend, good options in the kitchen, and they serve up a damn fine cup of Joe.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t get more love. I’m from the Philly area and basically lived here for 2 months. Awesome coffee, helpful staff, great food at all times of the day, and prime dog watching, crazy location overlooking Imagination Park(Yoda and Indiana Jones). The only thing I would change is to add more electrical outlets for customers. BTW-I have no idea where you get your scones but… DAMN!!! Strawberry scone is a must try!

If you asked me this is the best coffeehouse in all of Marin. Service is excellent except for big Chris who always harasses me which is what keeps me coming back. Actually the food is very consistent, had the Cobb salad yesterday I was impressed. Want something to do on Saturday morning swing by and listen to local music and have four shots of espresso, that’ll get your day going.
