This is my favorite specialty wine store! The owner Desiree and staff is very nice and helpful. They educated me about wine and champagne!

I like this place. The staff members we’ve met are REALLY nice, warm, helpful… great people. We’ve been twice for table service, and both times the guys were very busy, handling both table and retail purchases, zipping around with big smiles. The wine I’ve had is great. I live nearby, so I like the location too. We’ve also been once just to buy a bottle of wine. The reasons for four stars, not five, are based on what the menu says vs. what is served, and the lack of non-alcoholic beverages. I envision«flat bread» as just that — a flat bread, not a cracker. That’s what I learned in culinary school at least. I know some crackers are marketed as «flatbread crackers» — but they’re crackers. I also envision«crostini» as thinly sliced bread that’s been toasted or grilled(or just dried). When we asked where these items were per the menu, we were told they didn’t have them. Just a couple kinds of(very nice) crackers. No true crostini nor flatbread in sight — however, perhaps the packaging on what we had calls them«flatbread» and«crostini». I suggest they offer the real things, or change the menu to just mention«crackers.» It would be very affordable to buy a couple baguettes every day, slice them thinly, toast briefly, and voila! I love cheese on some form of bread. Oh! Idea! Nearby Pizzalina might be willing to put a bit of their thin pizza dough drizzled with olive oil in their oven for the flatbread in exchange for a bottle of wine now and then — just a thought! :-) Also, they had some nice sodas on our first visit. On our recent visit, we’re told that they no longer carry non-alcoholic beverages. My husband only goes to these places once in a great while(when I plead) since he doesn’t drink. Having nothing but water or wine doesn’t honor the patrons who don’t wish to imbibe and/or the designated driver. Sales will go up with non-alcoholic options available. All that said, I like the place and recommend it with the aforementioned caveats.

Cozy, friendly, with some spectacular wines to chose from. The manager, Jake, knows his vino and makes everyone feel welcome. I highly recommend trying the Jelly Jar Barbera. My only knock on the place, a $ 15 corkage fee for buying their wine? WTF!!! Someone needs to go to business school.

Stopped in at Vines. Jake, the manager, was serving up the wine. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly. He is the best feature about the place. Wine is good and the cheese is good. Good music. Nice atmosphere. Suggestion: Need to get rid of the $ 15 corkage fee and give a 10% discount. for bottles bought and drunk on premises.

Darling little wine bar with a great wine selection. Staff is very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back for a casual sit down wine tasting or just to pop in and buy a bottle for home.

Cute wine bar with great service. We did the half glass pours so we could try a couple of different wines. Ordered the small cheese plate, it’s plenty for two people. Good music and super chill spot. They even have a happy hour.

This is the best way to try different wines in comfort. We made ourselves at home on one of the sofas.(I like it already!) The wine menu is easy to navigate, and there’s help and suggestions from the staff. We started with a glass of Cava and a cheese(etc.) plate, and set about the task of relaxing. Aaaaaah! We were magically transported out of San Anselmo for a moment of Spain. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Desiree, who was happy to hear of our upcoming trip to Spain. She made a recommendation for a Rioja, that was just as she described. We needed no encouragement to browse on the retail side of the store and found a starter selection of wines to try at home. All in all a very reasonably priced distraction for a weekday afternoon! If you get a chance to visit the food trucks in the parking lot of Red Hill Shopping Center(Tuesday evenings) this is a perfect place for the before or after! Don’t miss it!

Vines is your neighborhood wine bar, it has character and a lively personality and offers fabulous wines. It’s approachable. You want to dress up? Dress up. You want to wear your mom leggings and Patagonia jacket? Wear your mom outfit. It’s like drinking wine at your bestie’s house(you know, the one who’s house always looks perfect and welcoming). You want a $ 5 special flight or a $ 32 glass of wine — they have you covered. Red Hill is now stacked with all you need, pizza, burgers and wine! Life. Is. Good.

This is the best wine bar I’ve been to in Marin! The owner Desiree and her wonderful staff made me feel at home the moment I walked through the door. Between the amazing wine at great prices, the expertly crafted cheese plates and snacks, and an atmosphere that reminds you of a Paris café, what’s not to love? Can’t wait to come back!
