Action Pawn

Can I possibly leave less than one star? I cannot stand to be bombarded with the ‘f’ word. I’m in this pawn shop with my husband looking at guns and ammo when a «song» begins blaring, yakking about n****rs and f***ing people up. It’s disgraceful. I swear whom ever started that song turned up the volume.
I’ve bought several knives and some camera equipment from here. I will not be returning!

If I could give this place no stars I would! Everything in here is over market price where they would by it at 30% and make a 150% profit you are better off going and getting it brand new. And on top of everything their sense of urgency to assist someone who is knowledgeable of the product is ridiculous! Steer clear unless you like buying over price equipment and materials!

Literally just left this place feeling disappointed. First off customer service is the most important aspect In a business and they did not deliver. We stood right next to a lady at the jewelry section she did not acknowledge us or stop to get us someone. I wanted to look at purses for my bday and waited for 10 + minutes and no one came. When we asked for help still no help. My father wanted to look at guns cuz he collects all over priced. Hope u have patience because that’s all u need. Waste. Didn’t get helped once in the time there.

Manager Greg and Javier always take good care of me. I had a bad experience 2 years ago due to a pistol that was not on their inventory. They both went out of their way to make it right (after I was there for more than 2 hours). Today I bought two more guns, it goes to show you that when you get good treatment you build loyalty (i drove 45 miles to buy from them)

I brought in a guitar pedal worth around $ 160 used (Boss RC2 Loop station) and the guy immediately offered a low $ 40 and when I said no way, he said he had several of these on his shelf at his «other store» for $ 40. Needless to say he didn’t answer when I asked where that was and offered to buy those pedals. (that’s $ 100 profit on each pedal!) Also they have a giant advertisement claiming you’ll «never pay retail» at action pawn, and I’ve never seen a pawn shop overprice their USED goods like this one, their prices are ABSOLUTELY retail if not MORE because of the fact that they are used products. They take advantage of people down on their luck, find a mom and pop pawn shop if possible, these guys only care about scraping every penny from your pocket!

Pawn shops always give me mixed emotions. On one hand, I know that most of the stuff in the store is there only because someone desperately needed some quick money – the whole place reeks of misery and broken dreams. But on the other hand, there are some great bargains to be had. I don’t go to pawn shops very often, but when I do, this is the one I choose.
This shop has recently relocated into a large building right behind where the old store was located. This new facility is clean, bright and well organized. I have been interested primarily in the musical instrument department, which is excellent. This store features what I believe is the widest selection of good-​quality used instruments outside of Spacetone Music. And their variety of amplifiers is spectacular. A few months ago I helped a friend pick up a Squier Stratocaster and a Yamaha bass here for a very reasonable price. And then yesterday I hit the jackpot: a 2010 Fender Rumble 15 bass amp (retail $ 99.99) for just $ 40! Amazingly, the amp still had all the original store stickers on it – right down to the clear plastic on the Fender badge. The amp was dusty, but it looked like it had never been played! I also noticed lots of brand-​new amps from Behringer and Blackstar at decent prices.
The rest of the shop features pretty much everything you could want, from tools to guns to jewelry. Whenever anyone asks about pawn shops, this is always the one I recommend. Give ‘em a try!

The staff couldn’t be nicer – but overall the place makes me feel like I’m Living in «1984»! The ceiling is just so high and there are cameras everywhere. I know the cameras are important but this shop makes me feel as small as an ant.

This was my first pawn experience and found some legit golf clubs. I could only spend so much and the manager worked with me very well. Going back soon.
