Adrian Russell Salon

Obviously, everyone likes this salon, and I certainly understand why. I have been seeing Adrian at this salon for a couple of years since moving to San Antonio and couldn’t be happier with the service I have received. He insures he understands exactly what you want, makes suggestions (if you ask for them, which I did), is very personable, and very reasonable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else after having Adrian do my hair and highly recommend this salon.

I’ve been coming here for over 5 years and have never been disappointed! Sarah is my hairstylist and she always knows just the right color for me. I also love the way the haircuts grow out. This might seem like an odd thing to say, but I have very thick, fast-​growing hair and I have had my share of great haircuts that don’t grow out that great. I always get compliments on my hair and it always feels great. Another great thing about going here is the way it is laid out. Each station is completely private. Adrian Russell is a great place — I highly recommend Sarah, but anyone here is awesome!

Love this treasured spot in San Antonio! I was fortunate enough to be referred to Cassie at Adrian Russell salon from a coworker and now I refuse to go anywhere else. In fact my roots are long and I’m just HOLDING HOPE that I can get in with her soon!
Cassie does the best platinum blonde hair (and two tone hair, as I like mine dark underneath and light on top) in half the time that other stylists can do just one color. She is sweet, consistent and knows exactly what I want each and every time.
I HIGHLY recommend this adorable salon as it is clean, cozy and comfortable with little TV’s at each station. Love getting fresh color with Cassie who is a FANTASTIC stylist that can whip out platinum blonde in no time flat!

If you’re like me, then you DREAD changing hair stylists. But every once in a while it’s necessary. For me, that was the case but luckily my esthetician Claudia (you can read her review here:
) had recently moved into Adrian Russell’s salon & I contacted her to ask about a possible stylist. Samantha’s number was the first she gave me, so I called her and explained my situation. She was very nice on the phone and got me in the very next day for a cut, full-​color & style.
Even though I didn’t know the color formula my previous stylist had used, Samantha asked me questions and walked me through the color book. Once we determined the color, she explained the brand of color she used (I don’t recall the name) wouldn’t be as harsh as the well-​known name brands. Needless to say, the color turned out perfect! To be honest, I waited a full week to write my review to see if the color would fade or change, and it hasn’t! It still looks just as good today as it did when I walked out of the salon last Thursday. Oh and did I mention the price? Soooooooooo reasonable! The cut is great too. :)
I also really like the overall layout of the salon — the sinks are in a separate room and the water actually stays at a steady temperature (this has actually been an issue for me at 2 – 3 of the past salons I’ve visited.)

Found this place on Angies list rated A after my place went out of business. Personal attention galore and EXTREMELY reasonable prices. I went to Samantha who is a Paul Mitchell trainer meaning she trains others in new techniques and she seems to attend lots of new training herself as she is up to date on everything. The owner (Adrian Russell) was present and doing hair and seemed incredibly personable and very involved with his clients. I have passed this shop every single day for nearly 5 years and never noticed it — but it will be my place from now on.
