Food was greasy, enchiladas had no flavor, and my husband’s bacon wrapped shrimp had enough sodium to create a salt mine. Drinks were okay(once we added tequila to it by ordering a separate shot). Waitress was sweet. Never going back.

Aldacos original location is great. However, the dominion location needs much improvement. Staff needs to be multiplied and service needs to be perfected. I don’t mind the upcharge on authentic food if the service is good. 50 $ dollar check for a 10 $ service is unacceptable.

We had drinks here a couple weekends ago and went out to give it a try for dinner. Food, street tacos and shrimp and cheese relleno, was very good as were the margaritas. Service was less than impressive! Salsa came first, followed by chips at least 10 minutes later. Dinner took over 20 minutes to get to the table and no one came back to check on us or ask if we needed more water or anything else. Outside seating area is beautiful while ambiance inside is very noisy. May go back — if there are no other alternatives!

Very nice reliable food with a great patio set up in an old oak tree, great place for the grand kids to sit with us. Extensive menu but I really like the chile relleno and the service is mostly good and rarely have to wait for a table. Deserves to be busier than they usually are

Try the ChilaKillers over the Chilaquiles for something different. Fried tortilla triangles laced with Cascabel sauce, crema, onions and fried eggs on top. DELIGHTFUL

This is quite possibly the worst restaurant I’ve been to in the past 20 years. I came here a year ago and wasn’t impressed but couldn’t remember why. Decided to give it another try and quickly remembered why I hadn’t returned. Upon arriving at 1:00pm on a Thursday, I would’ve expected a little larger crowd. There were 6 people total eating in the restaurant which should’ve been an indication that maybe this was NOT the place to eat. My party of three were all starving and we decided to stay. We waited a few minutes at the front and nobody came to seat us, as such we took a table near the bar. We were served bone dry chicken, cold and powdered queso, rice that looked as though it had been run through a food processor, and very greasy chicken quesadillas. I’m also pretty sure the refried beans were from yesterday because when we complained, the next batch of beans were a completely different color and texture. We returned the queso because it was so gross and when we received our bill, I looked it over and discovered they had charged us for two orders of queso and«credited» is for the bowl we returned. When I pointed this error to the manager he apologized and removed the second bowl of queso. I felt like they knew exactly what they were doing in double charging us but did it anyway to see if I’d catch the mistake. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are definitely better places to find TEX-MEX in Texas!!!

This is close to my house, so has been the default location for a while. With other restaurants to now choose from in the Dominion area, we seldom go back. I prefer to sit at the bar, but the bartenders are really ‘service-bar’ bartenders, and I have found(over and over) that it’s tough to get their attention or to get them to refill a drink. Limited draft beer selection as they specialize in margaritas. If you go, I recommend an appetizer called the Centerpiece. I have ordered it several times, and have always enjoyed it.

Service here is extremely slow. Holy moly it took 45 mins just to get a drink and some appetizers. Food is okay but not the greatest. If you’re okay with waiting an extensive amount of time for service, give it a shot

Well… My best description of this place will be rated by taste only. My food was simply safe. Nothing overwhelming good… Just safe. It seems that they are afraid to venture out to make them self different from anybody else. It’s as if they are afraid to make bad food. So just play it safe. The atmosphere is not really Mexican but trying to achieve modern art but missed the boat by just a hair. Three stars are for those that are at least different. On the brighter side its not bad at all just safe to eat here.

Visited here on a Monday evening. Not very busy this night, so we received LOTS of nice attention. I ate the Tacos Del Mar. Tilapia was cooked properly and accompanied by tasty cabbage and a zesty cilantro sauce. Sat on the terrace with a pleasant view of live oak trees. Just a little freeway noise that was usually drowned out by the music. Margaritas served were very tasty.

The fish tacos are fantastic!!! The flavor and juiciness to the grilled fish is perfect! The spiciness of the sauce on it is just right. Tortillas are soft and taste great. The boracho beans are equally amazing. A perfect meal for a fish taco lover!

This is, in my Unilocal-opinion, the best mexican food in the northwest area where we have lived for the past nine months. There are quite a few mexican food restaurants around here, but this is the nicest. The patio is perfect in cooler weather, although even when it gets hot, the old existing trees that they built the shopping center around provide great shade. The décor is well done — you feel like you are in a finer dining establishment. The menu offers typical mexican dishes, but there are two things that have kept us coming back: –Chile Rellano Al Cilantro is my wife and my favorite dish. It is not fried and it is served with a side salad with the best dressing on it. This dish almost makes the meal healthy, if it werent for the bowl of chips I always devour. –Puffy Tacos. On the opposite end of healthy is the Puffy Taco, which is a taco deep fried. Unique to SAT and quite delish. Service has always been attentive. I would not hesitate to have a business dinner or hold a special event here.

We’ve been a few times. This last time was pretty bad. A few hours later my hand still reeked of oil. Spent $ 60 on 2 orders of tacos, 2 margaritas, 1 beer &1 michilada — so not worth it. The margaritas were weak and watery. :( The michilada mix was very bland and lacked any flavor. Ordered soup to start with. Tortilla bowl– but it came with our entrée. The bowl was huge & the forgot our crisp tortilla strips — when we got them. They were confetti sized which was sorta of joke because the bowl was huge and no amount of chips would be proportional. The taste was fine but not spectacular. The tacos callejeros were very greasy– which they shouldn’t be. I don’t think we will be coming back.

Yummy! The avocado margarita was excellent with chili salt on the rim. Salsa was great!!! We ordered the ceviche appetizer and have never had better. For dinner I ordered a enchilada/fajita steak combo plate and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend this place!!!

I had the their chicken tacos callejeros, a must try! Very good. I would also suggest their cucumber martini! By far the best cucumber martini I’ve had so far.

We’ve visited the Aldaco’s at Stone Oak umpeen times and it’s our favorite high-end Mexican restaurant. Amongst the best margaritas in town, with some great offerings. This was our first visit to the new location at Dominion. Esposa and I went with our best friends; he had never been to either Aldaco’s(needs to ask!). Everyone had a great time. Yummy margaritas. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. The only negative is that there are too many hard surfaces and no sound absorption, so this place gets loud. OVERALL: EXCELLENT. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED.

Walking in I was very impressed with the décor and the service at the door was very appropriate. My husband and I visited on a Friday night about 5:45pm or so. Happy Hour goes till 6:30pm so we got there in time to get some good deals. We got seated in the middle of the restaurant which I wasn’t to happy about just because I don’t like being sat in the middle of a restaurant, but I was quick to get over it. Our server came right over and took our drink order and got back to us super fast with a drink from the bar and a water and soda. My husband ordered the $ 5 whiskey for happy hour the only complaint about that was that the server didn’t ask him what kind of whiskey he wanted out of the 4 or 5 that are offered for that deal. Chips & salsa came to table super fast. The chips are different but they are good to me and the salsa has the perfect amount of spice I think. We also ordered the Queso to go along with our chips, now don’t get me wrong it has great flavor but it was super thin and comes off kind of watery. We added the pico to it that was on the side and a little bit of the salsa that we got first to it and it was perfect! For our dinner my husband ordered the fajitas and those were great in his view and I tried a bite and they were pretty decent, I mean you can’t really screw up fajitas anyway right? I ordered the chile relleno al cilantro, I chose to get the half and half with the two sauces to try both(cilantro sauce and chipotle) the orange sauce was was better. The rice that comes with this plate is AMAZING a burst of flavor! Fresh! The Little side bowl of some type of strange salad I was not tempted to try, not sure what it was. The food came out pretty quick, the only complaint I have was that the plates were SUPERHOT like usually the server says oh the plates are kind of hot but these were ridiculously hot, kind of unsafe if you ask me. It burnt my hand when I tried to move the plate, At least put a cold plate underneath so its not hard to move around the table for the whole meal. Drinks were refiled at the correct times. My husband ordered the prickly pear margarita for happy hour and it was a beautiful drink & tasted great. Another complaint that I must address is how loud it is inside, the walls are a little bear which make everything echo and a little louder then it should be. very open space and a nice looking bar. I wish we could have got to enjoy the patio outside because it looked amazing, but it was way to hot to sit outside. All in all i would come back to this place. I am not from Texas, I am from New Mexico so I am used to a different kind of Mexican food that is impossible to find in the state of Texas. I like things spicy and the New Mexican version of things. In Texas things seem to be a little bland and tend to be covered up with other flavors, but as I was saying I would return to try some different things on the menu.
