Beefy’s Backyard

We hadn’t been in years so I guess I wasn’t impressed the first time. Luckily this time was pretty darn good. It’s walk up ordering which I am never really a fan of but it works for them I guess. The burgers were better than good but they got mine wrong — they gave me the opposite of everything I asked for so they must have transposed my order. The outdoor play area is great for the kids — soccer, basketball, play scape — keeps them busy while waiting for the order. The onion rings were outstanding, fries were great and the pickles were amazing. All of us enjoyed our burgers once they got mine right but it did pull my wife away from the meal to fix their error hence the loss of 1 star. If they get it right next time this would be a 5 star review for me. D.

A perfect combination of good food, good people and a laid back Texas ambience. Surely will like to visit again.

Really good burgers! I get the bean burger with curly fries! The service is usually slow and ran by a bunch of kids but the food makes up for it. The inside is nice a looks rustic and the outside had a big covered patio. Cool place.

I have been taking my family to Beefy’s for over 7 years and we are never disappointed! The food is delicious and I am never able to eat the entire burger. It’s a casual environment and a perfect place for families with high energy kids. The children can run and play in the enclosed backyard equipped with basketball hoops, a soccer/​football field and playground area, while the adults relax on the covered porch enjoying adult beverages and great food.
Whether it’s a family night out, birthday party or team meeting event, you will certainly enjoy the experience!

This place reminded me of a East Texas Burger Joint.
Nice and divey but clean. Very friendly and helpful service. Very good prices. Simple but flavorful burgers with lots of oozey goodness.
For lunch they offer several sandwiches, fries and a soda for $ 8. I opted for the cheeseburger. It was so good. Nice and oozy and simply spiced so the flavor of the beef is the star. The cheese was melted nicely on the Burger. The toppings nice and fresh complimented the beef nicely. The fries were made fresh and served hot. Always a plus.
There is plenty of seating inside and a game room with arcade games. In the backyard there are lots of picnic tables, many are covered and there is a playground area for kiddies.
So worth going here for a tasty buger and a cold beverage.

This is a great place to bring kids however we wanted to avoid that so we went at about 8pm. The burger baskets are huge. It does take awhile but if you go a bit later it’s faster. We ate inside and it was less than 10 minutes to get our food.

Good TX burger place with some atmosphere. Friendly service. Tasty. If you want a burger on 281, it’s a reasonable choice.

Finally went to Beefy’s after my family ranted and raved about them for years! They did not disappoint!!! The Beefy’s Burger was huge! I couldn’t even finish it. It is your typical hometown burger joint that would probably be sure fun after a local ball game! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and even a volleyball court and a park out back for the kids to play. My only gripe was parking. If they are busy parking is very limited! But overall this place is good food and good fun!

Great place for burgers. But service is bad. Run by a bunch of kids every time I go. I phoned in a order for a burger and Onion rings to go. Took me 20 minutes to get and they started the order then. I told them a called ahead and the answer I got was «we are busy». That was my last visit.

Staff is awesome and the price for the amount of food is great! My daughter loves the large play area.

Solid. A true Texas burger experience. Nothing negative to say. Fun atmosphere that is great for the kids. Well done beefy’s backyard.

Love this place! We had been there several times to meet friends but only had drinks while the kids played on the half basketball court, enclosed miniature soccer field and playground, which was all fenced in. They had a blast while we enjoyed the open patio.
At a later date, we went for dinner and the meals were wonderful and large. Great time over all.
Only issue we have is that they changed the bar setup so you now have to wait in the food line to pay for drinks instead of at the bar which takes a lot longer.
So much better than bigz or momacks. Have no idea why anyone goes to those mediocre places.

Ordered fried pickles, fries, cheeseburger, Angus bacon cheeseburger with drinks $ 29. More pickles and fries than two people can eat! They should have half orders! Burgers were good. Service was great! Will definitely be back and will bring friends! Patio area is nice and play area for kids is great!

My kids love this place because of the play yard. I hate this place because of the food. It’s edible but nothing to write home about.
Some parents are too busy enjoying their bucket o’ beer that they forget that they have bad kids that should have constant parental supervision. Watch your kids closely because their are unsupervised children that shouldn’t be left alone.

Alot could have been done to improve how the burger was cooked and prepared. It was great they used agnus beef but it was cooked a bit flat, no searing, not sure if it was fried or steamed. It had a bit of that amusment park quality if you know what I mean. The decour of the restaurant is great. Now the burgers need to match.

3.7 STARS! Ive eaten here six times. The burgers are good in size, flavor is simple and the beef pattys are juicy. They need an loving bun. The buns are basic and typically over buttered and burned on the inside. I enjoy their salads as they are fresh, crisp and moist.
Over Salted are the fries, chicken tenders and gravy. Way too much salt here and it makes it hard to eat much of it.
Chicken burgers have lacked salt and their chicken nuggets are sad; straight out of a frozen bag. Go with the tender basket for the kids. It come with three big tenders, two pieces of toast, plenty of fries and gravy.
Go with the onion rings! Fries are ok for a burger joint and their onion rings are phenomenal! I dont really like onions but these rings are a must order! The batter features corn meal and it sticks and doesnt fall apart.
Although the ice cream sign says Dyers the actual ice cream tubs say Blue Bell but beware, Ive also seen and been served Blue Bunny out of their handdipped station. So pick your poison. Blue Bell is the only ice cream that should be eaten in Texas.
Bring the family. Its great for kids with an arcade, basketball, soccer and play scape. Bring your own play balls though.

I was in town to see a friend and their whole family took me here. It has great atmosphere and the prices are pretty reasonable. The food itself was ok, but nothing special. Their onion rings were solid, their fried jalapenos could have been spicier, the fries were average, their salads were big but not flavorful, and their burgers were ok. I wouldnt mind eating here again, since there’s not much else in town. I certainly wouldnt drive out of my way like I would Salt Licks BBQ.
But if you are in the area, you should check it out.

Beey’s is a cute burger joint with lots of character. There’s a big, open deck in the back, with long picnic tables that are perfect for large groups. There’s also a nice sized playground area for the kids (and adults), that had basketball, slides, etc.
Why only two stars?
We’ll, it wasn’t a good value, and the food just wasn’t good.
We ordered the «specialty» atomic burger for $ 6.79. This didn’t come with anything. We were shocked to see that this specialty burger was smaller than their regular burger that is $ 5.29. We would’ve been better off just ordering the regular burger and adding pepperjack cheese and jalapenos.
We also ordered chili cheese fries. The cheese was disgusting. It was plastic type cheese that basically just laid like a melted congealed mess on top of the fries. It didn’t even taste like cheese.
In summary, if you want cute atmosphere and a place to chill and have a beer while the kids play, it’s a good choice. If you’re looking for good good, go elsewhere.

This is not my first time here. I love burgers and this place has great burgers. I have tried just about all the burgers and there is just one burger I did not like. Atomic burger which I thought would have been the best burger but it did not turn out to be so great. For some reason, the flavors just did not mix. Other than that the rest of the burgers have been great if not excellent.
The service has been great every time that I have come. They seem to go the extra mile. We have also have the ice cream here which has been pretty good too.

Cheese lovers unite!
I came here for lunch and the cashier recommended getting the cheddar burger. What? What is the cheddar burger? She described it as a burger with a whole bunch of melted cheddar cheese on top. I asked her bow big it was, and she said its a decent size. What came out of the kitchen took up half of the basket. Big burger! And I could see the cheese oozing out over the bottom bun. the burger was accompanied by a good portion of French fries, and a drink. The burger was good (not fantastic) and I would get it again. I would like to go back and check out some of the other food they had. Customer service was good too, everyone was friendly.
