Fauker’s is your friendly neighborhood bar, complete with a jukebox and neon beer signs! Their beer selection is impressive for a neighborhood bar and they’ve got great happy hour specials and a kickin’ Dosarita! All in all, it’s definitely a place to become a regular and hang out with friends! We’ll be back!

I’ve decided to hit up my alcohol-based establishments in small sections. Also, I’m attempting to review them how they are now; rather than how I remember them. So I carb’d up and headed out to NE side. Faulkner’s Pub, why has our country approved of the word«pub» just because the name in front sounds British, Scottish, or Irish? Isshhh… so Faulkner’s was born a couple of years ago as a «non-smoking» bar and somehow it’s still thriving in it’s discreet location. Unless, you know this area you’d probably pass it on up in a blink of an eye. The nice thing about their original concept is that they will never smell like a dive bar. They also, have an attractive light show above the bar seats… which mainly consisted of changing colors. It’s small inside, we’re talking someone’s living room. The women’s room trip me out, because as you enter it will be the only time that you know how The Red Carpet feels. It’s super bright. Now for the main attraction. They have a decent selection of beer on draught. They also, have extended cab size selection of bottled beer. We’re not talking obscure beers but a couple of craft brews that aren’t too shabby. There’s a pizza joint connected to the bar, which I found kinda awesome. Now, I don’t know if you can move across the Continental Divide with your beer, but it seems plausible. The menu looked pretty decent, I mean a cheese slice $ 1.99…that’s enough for me to satisfy my hunger and have two more beers. The imports are slapped with about a $ 5 price tag, but they have liquor specials. And the girls pour heavily. Also, the bartenders were very nice and attentive. They had their regulars, but still made sure to take care of the not so frequent fliers. I would consider this another«starter» bar… oh and after the high school football games it can be kinda difficult to get out of the parking lot, so you might as well stay for another round.

Cold, inexpensive national & local brews. Their daily specials are really good at this neighborhood bar. It has been open for over 3 years and it is still as clean as whenil it first opened. What can I say about the bar staff? These ladies are not only great at what they do-attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, they are all HOTTERTHAN A GHOSTPEPPERSANDWICHWITHJALAPENOMAYOONANAUGUSTAFTERNOONINTHEDESERT. BONUS: Pazza Pizza( ) next-door and owned by the same people: AHHHMAZING food.

Awesome no smoking bar. Friendly staff and great prices. Even better drink specials during happy hour. This is my favorite neighborhood bar in San Antonio.

A no smoking pub, wow we couldn’t believe it. That’s what I guess made this place pretty cool. Other then being a small place going and having a drink without coming out smelling like an ash try is pretty nice!

Typical bar. I refrain from using pub do to the lack of selection on tap. Again nothing really special and it’s kind of an odd location. Somehow they get business. Maybe it’s because the Blossom center across the street. They also have a nice little outdoor patio. But again there really isn’t much to stare at. The biggest bonus to this place is $ 1 pint night on Fridays. You can’t beat that price anywhere in San Antonio. At least that I know of.

Standard, neighborhood pub. Walk in the door to find a pool table, a bar, and a small seating area. TV’s and neon beer signs line the walls, along with specials boards and merchandise.(Really, merchandise? OK so truth be told, I kind of wanted a Faulkin T-shirt) This is definitely a place to become a regular, show up after work, untie your tie, and shoot some pool or throw some darts. It’s not a place to see and be seen, but that’s kind of what I liked about it. Just, simple, good old fashioned fun. No need for heels or lots of makeup. They have a full bar but literally everyone there was enjoying cold beer. They have a nice little selection on tap and bottles a plenty.
