My boyfriend liked this place… I don’t care for places like this. He always wants to go back. Maybe he does with his friends haha but never with me.

Ice machine was broken. Soda was flat and when I tried to get some, the machine leaked all over my hand. Out of lids. Haven’t gotten my food yet, but not looking forward to it. I would rather be at Culver’s, next door.

Loved the ribs… but have concerns… bought a Groupon that they would not honor…

Very disappointed! Stuck in DeZavala for 30 min to get here, once we arrived they were out of ribs, fries, and cream corn. Okay that’s fine we can find something else. Ordered … Went to get ice for our drinks and the ice machine didn’t work. Do the name hold true … They have chicken but only one rib and it was sold before we arrived! First and last time at Finley’s

I have no idea what has happened over the last couple of months. I originally liked this place. However, I was there yesterday for lunch and it was horrible. I brought my boyfriend, and it was his first visit there. I was truly embarrassed for suggesting this restaurant. The food didn’t even look like the pictures from my previous visits. The brisket had the worst flavor imaginable. It tasted like it was soaked in mop water before cooking. The ribs were flavorless. The ranch dressing for our salads appeared to have been watered down. The potato salad and onion rings were good. It was 12:30 on a Wednesday, and there were only 2 other people in there. I will not be returning. What happened?

When this place opened, it was pretty good. Not so much anymore. Don’t waste your time. Closed and its a different restaurant now…

This place was incredible. The staff was friendly, talkative, and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and homey. And the food? Amazing. I will come here every time I visit San Antonio.

Soooo. good thing is that service was great and the ribs were moist. I didn’t find it to be anything special but the bbq sauce had a nice flavor. It kinda reminded me of the KCBBQ sauce you can get at wal mart or what have you. I also had the cream corn and potato salad. I have a cult like allegiance towards Rudy’s cream corn and potato salad so to me, this one was meh. still pretty decent tho. The food was slightly pricey, but that comes with the bbq territory sometimes. I probably won’t go back but you should come try it for yourself! they serve different beers there too btw. Bottom line: moist ribs. pretty good. eat it up. sleep it off lol

This barbecue place is a great neighborhood eatery. It’s in a strip center so I don’t know where they have the BBQ pits but I have to give them props for having creamed corn and fried pickles on the menu. The food is not out of this world amazing but it’s pretty darned good. Their sauce is thick and sweet but has a good pepper to it as well. The staff is super friendly and they are always out in the restaurant if you need anything.

So finally happy the the best BBQ has opened another location and it’s on the North side! The best BBQ is B&B Smokehouse but they are on the south side and I live on the North side. So the owner has now opened a great concept, chicken tenders and ribs! The owner told me that it was his sones idea, the son deserves a medal, he is genius! So now to the food, hands down the best items on the menu are the ribs, pulled pork sandwich and the onion rings. The creamed corn, BBQ chicken, French fries are a must. But before you leave, it is imperative that you have the sugar baby. Your life will change.

Exemplary service and food. Chicken n Ribs, y’all really tryna get a brotha 2 come down there. Had the chicken tenders(Obvious.) It was ok. Gonna try the ribs next time. Only reason y I give this 5 stars cuz not only it has the 2 fav types of meats I call MUTHAFUCKINDELICIOUS on every review I write, they got beer and wine. So they get an extra plus for liquor. They really tryna get us black folks in there.

The ribs will melt in your mouth; The creamed corn will change your life. I also tried the handcut fries which were on point too! The BBQ chicken was just ok. I’d say pass on that and get more ribs! They don’t have the most diverse menu, but then again most BBQ places don’t have extensive menus. The staff here was friendly and the pricing is reasonable — you don’t have to break the bank to eat like a King. Summing it up: great food, great service and great value. Gotta go — cream corn is calling!

It was our first time here, but definitely not our last. Jessica, the cashier, was very courteous and helpful in making our selection. We both got the chicken and ribs. The chicken was tender with a delicious rub on it. The ribs were flavorful. I am very picky about my potato salad and I thought it was really good as well. The BBQ sauce was served on the side and had a unique taste. Our bill came out to about $ 23 but we were both stuffed and satisfied with the portions. You also have to take into account that you don’t have to tip anyone since there is not any waitstaff. All in all, I would say Finley’s won our business. Oh and they serve alcohol and have a couple of TVs. I could see myself coming back for a few cold ones and some BBQ!

If your looking for a great family atmosphere and tasty food then you’ll love the great smoked flavor at Finley’s. Bruce Finley only serves the best. The ribs and chicken tenders are awesome, but I’m stuck on the poor boy sandwich with it’s great juicy flavor. On saturday nights is a great time to get together with family and friends. Give them a try.

The Brisket is good the ribs a little tough and the chicken was dry. The creamed corn was OK and the onion rings greasy.

Before I had visited Finley’s, I was playing golf with some friends one weekend, one of whom explained in great detail how good the chicken was. He painted a beautiful picture of the moist, delicious chicken underneath the somewhat crisp, seasoned skin and I thought it embellishment. Cut to three hours later, and we golfers four were sat around as many empty baskets, finishing our drinks in the revelatory bliss of his words proved true! Ahhh. Moving on, I always get the plate with ribs and dark meat chicken. These two have never failed to delight. I think I’ve spent ample time describing the chicken, but the ribs have always been delicious as well. They have always been meaty, never overly dry or one of those skin-on-bone nightmares I’ve seen elsewhere. The potato salad is good. I’ve tried the sauce they serve and liked it, but I eat the ribs and chicken without it. Lastly, I’ve never had the chicken strips at Finley’s, so I can’t review them and am not disparaging them, but let’s get one thing clear: You go to Finley’s for the barbecued chicken; leave the fried strips for the kiddos.

You might think it’s a bit pricey at first, but once you slam everything back, you will be MORE than full. I had the chicken and rib plate with a side — everything was excellent but I think the chicken strips stole the show. Will definitely be back to this place but picky Dan(a co-worker) didn’t like it.

This is a no brainer at first. It’s Chicken and Ribs. Easy choice to try after being told from a buddy. So we went. Only ones there actually, besides for I think a manager doing paperwork. The girls at the counter were very polite and easy to chat to. Answered our questions and we made the order. I went for the 2 ribs and 3 strips(photo). Food was delivered to our table. The ribs looked great, a dry rub, but served with a bit Sweeter sauce than I care to eat. On its own, the flavor was great, the meat separated from the bone with each bite and I will say I am happy. A little dry, but the flavor was great. The strips were actually kinda big for the price was asked for. So I will say I am impressed. Flavor was great, light breading, very moist, still hot. The décor is comfortable and simple. No junk all over the wall. Very good place for a good meal. Give it a shot, tell em Touchet sent ya.

Aye, I will say I am a Beef Ribs fan and didn’t want to take the pork option but damn it did it because I wanted to try all they had given a newbie in the hood. They sold me on their ribs, infact the two others that were with me said Love the ribs love the chicken. I can’t tell you about their sauce given … eh I am from Long Island we don’t do bbq sauce sooooooooooooooo… but the owner came out and asked us to try their chipotle style bbq sauce and thought… damn… I could use that on chicken… ha ha Overall. I like the place and glad they are in the neighborhood. I hear their pulled pork is a hit… coming back. So long MR. Cods HELLOFINLEY!

Just, not good… I passed by recently and was shocked Mr. Cods had been replaced by Finley’s. I was pretty excited to have a new restaurant near me, especially something *new* that I had never heard of before. Sadly, they don’t have a website yet so we really didn’t know what to expect when we went. The name of the restaurant really tells it all though, they sell chicken and ribs. LOL! We got there, walked in and looked at the board with all of the menu options. That’s when one of the workers behind the counter welcomed us and started bossing around the woman who was working on the register. «You should explain to them the specials if you include the combo in their meals…» and then nothing happened, it was a tad bit awkward. I ordered the Finley’s Special which came with 2 ribs and 3 chicken tenders which was $ 6.99 and I added fries/drink which was $ 2.00 extra so overall it was $ 8.99, not really a bad price. We eventually sat down, got our drinks and the man who brought us our food was being so sympathetic about how long our food took. We were only waiting like literally two minutes and BAM our food was there. This would’ve been nice, but the food was really cold. The chicken tenders were not very tasty and were dry. The ribs were also dry, the BBQ sauce didn’t help at all. The fries were piping hot but they were the kind of fries you get out of a bag from the freezer and pop them in the fryer. Really boring and bland. You can see the hot lamp from the counter where you order with ribs/chicken tenders just sat there behind the counter. It’s obvious that they make the fries as people come in because it was pretty busy so they must’ve had them readily available. The ribs/chicken were just sat under the heat lamp waiting to be served. For $ 8.99 I wasn’t really impressed and overall, a party of four cost us $ 50, really wish we had gone somewhere else instead. Overall, a nice concept but the food didn’t taste half as good as I was expecting it to. The service was fine. I’m sure(and hope) this restaurant will improve the longer it is around.
