Futon Furniture Store

Excellent customer service. Love the new mattress we chose. Staff took the time to explain each different type of futon and I tried the majority of them out. My kids were a pain and they were so sweet about it. Went over the technicalities about the futon going «flat» and I understand where they are coming from. This is as good as it gets for a futon!

My really old wooden futon frame broke, so I came here because it seemed legit and it’s close to my house.
It turns out this guy is local, which is always a plus for me. He has tons of futons and everything futon related. The place is a little small, but well laid out, and full of options. I think he said he has like 8 different types of futon fillings alone.
Frames start at about $ 200, which seems pricey until you think about what you’re buying. He also had some clearance stuff.
Super nice sales guy who didn’t pressure me into a purchase. Everything comes with a warranty (1 or 2 years, I don’t exactly remember), but he said if I took a few minutes to tighten up the screws every 6 – 12 months, I shouldn’t ever have a problem. I ended up leaving with a wooden frame, and put it together in about an hour.
My only regret is getting a frame without arm rests. I didn’t think it would matter, and it doesn’t really, (because I just put end tables on either side) but that’s a personal preference I didn’t realize I had.
Overall, this place is waaaay better than one of those furniture super stores.

Some years back I bought a wood frame and a mattress futon here. At the time I had just moved to San Antonio and that futon was going to be my bed and my living room. Within a couple of months the wood of the frame started to break. I called the store and told the manager about it and I tried to take the futon frame back and every time he said he had to check with his boss, he didn’t return my phone calls, he said that his boss hadn’t given him an answer. They admitted that the futon was defective. The guarantee they give you is for a year. And this how much they took to give me a solution. After a year from me buying a defective futon from their store, their solution was for me to buy a new futon at a discounted price. And throw my money away along with the defective one. Obviously I didn’t do that. It all was a real nightmare. Needless to say I slept on the floor most of that futon time. I will never recommend this store. I don’t think they handled the fact that they sold me a defective futon with honesty and decency.
