We sold some cards here and the owner made us feel very dismissed, showing up 15 minutes after advertised opening hours and then trying to lowball us on some rare stuff. He then made a sexual comment at us about our drink choice, balls energy drink — «you know what they say eh? Eh? Ribbed for her pleasure.» Absolutely disgusting attitude, it’s clear he has a core group of similar minded customers which makes the atmosphere unbearable.
As if that weren’t enough, he made a repeat performance when we decided to give the store a second shot, since there are very few card shops in the area. When we made it clear we were looking for $ 20 for groceries, he offered us $ 6 and explained in a very tut tut condescending tone about cards banned from play (as if we didn’t know). Honestly needs reporting to WOTC for sexist behavior.

I was quoted a price to only go into to purchase and have the priced raised. The young man (bigger, teenage, glasses) that works there hardly got out of his gaming chair to help me. Being new I was curious about the gaming and was pretty much ignored standing and talking in front of him a mere foot away. I don’t know if he is forced to work at the store, please care enough though for the customers. The older guy on the other hand was nicer, just a lot to work on the organizational side of the store. It can be a nightmare looking for a odd card there. Being a gamer I wouldn’t say your left with a lot of options out there unfortunately.

Rarely do you find stores where the staff is as polite and helpful as at Gamelot! I was in there digging through boxes of cards and watched as Cliff greeted people coming in, offered them assistance, and have them real information. This is not a store focused solely on making money, this is a store focused on bringing a community of gamers together and I am a life long customer!
