This place is always short staffed and rarely has someone in the firearms department. They get 2 stars only because they generally always have ammo in stock at reasonable prices and you can buy as many boxes as you want (excluding 22.) Everything else is ungodly expensive. Also, the staff that is there seem to be uneducated about products or how to make even the most minimal of interactions mild pleasant. At least fake it a little.

Gander gas a lot nice stuff
I was little overwhelmed at first but I got over it quick.
Hand Guns, rifles, fishing rods and all the clothing needed for a perfect outing and that is just the tip of merchandise Gander carries.
Pricing I would say is average, I found some good bargains.
I guess it just depends on what your looking for.

Love this store I find great unique clothing for my babies & me. Purchases my first boots here & love them! Glad this store is literally 5min away from me. Big store & lots of parking.

Great place! Never crowded and they WILL MATCH local gun prices from Nagel’s, pawn shops, etc. The inventory in all departments is surprisingly ample. Yes at times they seem short staffed, but if you just ask for a manager and that you want to see an item they will assist you. I’ve purchased over 10 firearms here and would definitely recommend it for selection and customer service way before Bass Pro or Academy!

Wow! Great clothing selection here! I love North Face and they definitely have their share. Beats Academy or Dick’s Sporting Goods. I didn’t check inventory of anything else though, had just stopped in to meander through clothing area. Great sales!
They also have awesome carts for kids with a little car underneath, and super clean restrooms and changing tables!
5 stars= Driving across town just for this!
4 stars= I would recommend visiting.
3 stars= Average, acceptable, positive.
2 stars= You might be able to drag me in.
1 star= I will definitely not be returning.

This store is terrible. Short staffed, no attention paid to their own rules. In general just a bad experience. It took me over 3 hours to pick up a gun I had already paid for. There is not excuse for that. Corporate is just as bad. I gave them a try and I thoroughly regret it. Probably wont shop there again even with the $ 25 gc that came with my purchase.

The location of this place is horrible. Is this a hunting/​outdoors store or a gun supplier to the horrible unsafe area surrounded by this store. Did they not get the message that the previous outdoor store didnt last long in the same location. Move your store to the North side and you might make a profit. Don waste your time, go to academy or bass pro. Worse gander mtn I’ve ever been in.

Sad and very over priced! One cashier for the day to include returns. This place needs to hurry up and close so they can build a chucky cheese here.

First impression of Gander Mountain is meh. Yes, they have a pretty impressive gun section, but the prices were not competitive in my opinion and the set-​up was not conducive to making me want to buy anything the way Cabela’s or Bass Pro’s is. I don’t know, I think this will be a last choice for me. You are still in the race, Academy. Consider yourselves fortunate!

Academy, meet your new, much classier neighbor. Gander Mtn has a good selection of running shoes, and guns, but the archery «department» is more like a blurb on an aisle. The employees are ready to direct you to an area, and help you order online, but don’t really know the products well. The prices online are often cheaper, which isn’t saying much since this store is often over priced, but if you catch a sale, it’s a good one. Needs more women’s running gear, broader price range, and women’s snake boots, but they have an excellent supply of ammo. Do your research before you go.
