Not bad. Good old American burger. The workers are always trying to clean tables. Maybe a little understaffed, though. But I would definitely come back. Oh, and the service was fast.

Griff’s is gooood! OK, this isn’t your gourmet burger restaurant burger. In fact, it’s the polar opposite of those places. This is a vintage burger joint that makes a delicious burger and gives it to you at a bargain price. The menu is pretty standard for these types of places — single, double, and triple(monster) burgers w/wo cheese and your choice of condiments. The burgers are seasoned to perfection and cooked on the flattop which gives the patties that griddle char that real aficionados love. The lettuce is shredded, the cheese processed, the onions and tomato delicious. Personally I hold the mustard and get mayo. These patties are then put on a toasted bun and double wrapped to keep them nice and hot. The sides are pretty standard with fries that kind of remind me of McDonald’s fries. It Mickey D’s fries are 10, then Griff’s are about a 7. In addition to their fries they offer fairly decent but onion rings. The round out their menu with things like corny dogs, a chicken fried steak«chicken» sandwich, a fish sandwich and a few other odds and ends. You can also get«add ons» such as mushrooms, more cheese, a «handful» of cheddar, bacon etc., for an extra fee. Their #1 meal, a double with cheese, fries, and a large drink for under $ 7. The triple burger deal will set you back about an extra buck. The #1 is a substantial meal and it’ll definitely fill you up without breaking the ol’ bank. Griff’s takes your order at the counter, assigns you a number and calls it out when your meal’s ready. They seem to be fairly speedy which is always a bonus for the hungry customer. Griff’s looks like a place ripped out of a 1950s catalog. From the old school burger, to the very cool Griff’s clown logo, this is a great place to take the family for a meal. They really make a top-notch burger and offer it at a very fair price. The restaurant isn’t much to look at but it does have that old school nostalgia. And if you’re the type of person always moaning«this burger is too greasy…» or «do you offer gluten-free buns» well, take your no-gluten eating backside someplace else. Gove Griif’s a try — you’ll be happy you did.

So I was looking for a place to have a good meal, I saw Griff’s and decided to try it. I was very pleased. I had a #1 combo meal which was the double giant cheeseburger(or something like that) and it was so satisfying and more than enough for even a big guy like me. I loved it and will be back anytime I’m in the area. I recommend it to anyone wanting to find a good burger place.

I’ve been driving by this place for years and always thought about stopping in. Well, today I finally did. And I liked it! The food is very good, the menu is varied and the price is definitely right. The«monster» double meat & cheese combo with fries and a drink is less than $ 7 – and it’s a nice, big, delicious hamburger too. We’ll definitely be adding Griff’s to the rotation. Check it out!

so I finally tried this burger place griffs hamburgers, I always see it cuz its next to my favorite mexican restaurant. if you wanna try something other than the typical fast food burger chains, give griffs burgers a try. very taste! I had the double #2 i think is the combo the price is fair, burgers are a bit on the small side just a bit, fries are ok, nice big drink too, the place isnt a looker but they been in business for long time, so obviously they make good burgers, would definitely try again!

I was on this side of town today for work and was very hungry. There is an abundance of taco places here, but I wasn’t sure that I was feeling tacos after my very lackluster enchilada the other day. SO, I opened the Trusty Unilocal app and looked for some food. Enter Griff’s… The restaurant isn’t very pretty and very bare boned on the inside. Of course, that is never a deterrant for me as I would eat in a cardboard box if the food was good. I decided on the Combo #3… a single patty burger and I upgraded to onion rings instead of fries. Added some bacon, Pepper Jack cheese and sliced jalapenos. Very yummy burger! I only wish I had got the double patty combo as the meat isn’t super thick(think Whataburger). There was a good amount of condiments and veggies on the burger and it had the perfect amount of grease. The rings were ok… cooked well but obviously frozen. I probably wouldn’t get them again. In a sea of taco and mexican restaurants, Griff’s stands out like an island oasis.

You would think Griff’s would/could and should be as big and well known as Whataburger here in San Antonio. But that’s just not the case. No, that’s not an insult because the burgers are good and you can’t go wrong with the prices. They’re about the same price, if not, even a bit cheaper. The fries are limp and soggy though. Griff’s is generous with the jalapenos and the workers are courteous enough to ask you which sauce would you like on your burger, mayo or mustard. And yes the shakes here are very good. The place is clean with plenty of tables and is sandwiched(no pun intended) between two taco places, making it a welcome addition to budget friendly restaurants on Pleasanton Rd. You’ll see a diverse cast of characters dining here whether it’s an off duty Bexar County sheriff deputy dining with her kids, bikers, hoodrats, high school kids singing along to Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe song to people just looking for an affordable and different alternative to Jack, Wendy’s, Whataburger and McDonalds.

The store is very clean with new chairs and tables. I visited around 9 pm and was served fresh fries and a a juicy burger. Staff is very courteous. This is the best griffs that I’ve visited, and I’ve visited quite a number!

This burger has the ooze thing going on! Good burgers ooze flavor when you squeeze them and drip out flavor when they are just setting there. This burger hits the mark on this. I got the #1 combo, double cheeseburger, fries and a drink. Everything hit the mark. Fries nice and hot. Burger served fresh and fast. Fair price. Very filling. I have heard form good sources the handmade shakes are excellent. I’ll be back for a Southside burger fix. I have heard form good sources the handmade shakes are excellent.
