My first visit with Leslie. I was impressed with her and the acupuncture treatment I received. Also pleased with front desk staff and calmness and waiting area environment. Will certainly return.

I love Leslie — she does acupuncture and she is an RN so I feel I get a really great balance of Eastern and Western medicine in what we discuss. She’s so good to listen and offer ideas and treatment paths, and she’s really nice. I’ve even had my husband go see her(he’s skeptical of acupuncture but I had him go because of a high stress job) and he actually fell asleep he got so relaxed. I saw one other person there for a massage and it was OK, that is such a personal thing though so it was more personality than ability that wasn’t quite right for me. I do love that they offer a huge variety of treatments and professionals so you can find someone you click with, and treatments that are not always available at other places. The front desk team is really welcoming and glad to help with any questions you have. I haven’t been but they also offer some really interesting classes every month, and they sell a variety of things in their lobby(essential oils, crystals, health/beauty/wellness etc stuff) and some allergy treatments the owner developed herself(like CedarX) and her line is now carried by many HEB stores in San Antonio. One note: I believe you are working primarily with the professional you choose vs. this place as a whole — sort of like contract employees maybe? — even though I do think you pay the establishment as a whole vs. the individual, so you might be sure to ask questions about that if it concerns you in any way or you want to know why one charges differently or has different cancellation policies etc.

Awesome acupuncture with Sandra. Went in tense and came out totally relaxed! VERY reasonably priced. I will come whenever I’m in town!

I had the massage with the Jill. I have been to a number of pregnant massages around town. My other top place was full on a particular day and I really wanted to get to in, so I hunted around Unilocal and found Jill. She had an open spot, so I went for it. Comparing to my other massage place, I really enjoyed Jill’s amount of pressure and focus on pressure points versus the normal pregnancy«light» massages. I also enjoyed her use of essential oils. She was very knowledgable on benefits of the oils and various scents. Additionally, she really knew how to do reflexology… my feet were in heaven! I didn’t find that to be the norm at other massage places. As another comparison, the price was more than my usual place. Additionally, the front area is set up as a «school» or classroom, so it doesn’t seem as pampered at a normal spa/massage place. I normally come out more relaxed from my usual place but less relieved. I really enjoyed my massage and recommend folks to try it out.

I tried cupping for the 1st time and the lymph massage. Amazing! I feel very destressed. Reflexology was so good! Gentle hands. Hot stones available also(: I am going to try the mist as a sleeping aid.

My previous review was deleted because Unilocal said it was for another business. I just posted a picture with proof it was not. This company let jill use the company name and Jill provided horrible customer service so I wrote a review. it was deleted and now writing a response. In short, this was a case of miscommunication between the owner and employee that left me feeling taken advantaged of. The owner did previously reach out and we communicated civilly, however I don’t believe my post should have been deleted. Previous review«I’m sure the place is amazing but don’t buy a groupon with Jill who works there. It’s not through this business, even though she list it in the groupon offer…» There was more but it was relevant to Jill and not this leaving 2stars because they did have the courtesy to reply and offer to fix the situation.

I taught a short Thai massage class at the institute today. The layout is spacious and open. The lighting was good and I believe I’ll rent space here if I decide to teach classes in San Antonio. Speaking with the staff briefly the prices seem just about right for space rental. I hope I get to visit again soon.

I wish that I could write a review based on services received, but I can’t seem to make an appointment. I have called twice in the last few weeks to make an appointment for chakra balancing. Both times, I was told that the woman who provides the service works one Saturday a month, but it wasn’t showing on the schedule. Both times, my name and phone number was taken and I was told that I would receive a call back to schedule an appointment, i have never received a call back. Perhaps I will actually get to make the appointment some day and I will be able to give this place a glowing, 5-star review.

This establishment is a true oasis, in the middle of a bustling city… OK, so San Antonio is pretty laid back for a city it’s size. Still, this is a beautiful, modern and clean facility, offering many modalities for relaxation, and heling. Practitioners and staff are professional, friendly, and helpful. You can also purchase many lotions, accessories, books, and theraputic aids, all competitively priced. Excellent experience, in a central location!

Clean beautiful location with easy access & great classrooms. This review is of the facility and using the classroom spaces. My wife & I travel the country teaching Cupping therapy and Integrative Healing Institute ranks as #1 for us. The classrooms are large, 2 bathrooms, many massage tables on hand, a responsive & cheerful staff; basically everything provided and no worries. We loved teaching here and the students loved the location as well. Great retail space with amazing products you won’t find anywhere else in Texas. I never got a chance to try there therapies but I can report I saw«many» relaxed people leaving with smiles on their faces. Overall this place has a great healing vibe. From the owner to her daughter at the front desk & everyone in between, they all add to the great vibe. We are already scheduling our 2013 classes her now.

This last year has been a wake up call about 20 years in the making. I know I have my fair share of shortcomings and have made many many mistakes in my life. I’ve hurt those closest to me. I’ve insulted Facebook friends that I hardly know. I’ve disrespected new friends. I’ve lied. I’ve cheated. I’ve taken what was not mine to take. At times it has felt as though my pain and suffering know no bounds. But finally I realized it’s time for me to start taking care of me! I can’t keep carrying all this around with me. Earlier this month I actually woke up wondering what if my rock bottom was in fact bottomless? Then I realized that’s it. It’s time to heal all these black holes in my soul. This line of thinking put me on a new path in a quest for healing and recovery. After much online research I began reading about energy healing. I was intrigued so I did some energy work over the phone with a highly recommended healer based out of Hawaii. I gotta admit I felt better afterwards but it left me wanting more. I knew I wanted an in person session where someone could see my chakras but more importantly balance me out. People I’m carrying around almost 43 years of damage, destruction, and cigarette smoke! LOL! But seriously I was/am in need of some help. So I looked around in the Austin/San Antonio area for a healer. I came across the integrative healing site and boy I’m a glad I did. The woman that worked on me was amazing. It’s hard to explain how it really works. I laid on the table for over an hour while she helped balance me out. I knew before I went in that my heart chakra was closed down. My divorce and then subsequent horrible decisions following the filing of my papers left me with more than a little damaged energy. I don’t want to get into the gory details but trust me when I say they’re GORY! I felt for the energy healer having to deal with such damaged energy but also truly appreciate her help. I left the session feeling much more open. Open to possibilities, open to life. I’m not saying I’m ready for a LTR b/c I“m not but I’m open to meeting people and seeing what happens. I also may reach out to my brother with whom I recently had a falling out with. Life is too short! This treatment was definitely a step in the right direction. I plan to go back soon. I am very interested in the Shamanic sessions. I have this feeling that in a past life I helped build a cathedral in 12th century England. I might have even been a monk! I know that sounds crazy but who knows??? LOL!

You would think based on the outside and location that the inside may be meh. But what a great business. Very clean, great décor, very calming. I had my massage with Denise, and she was great. She made sure the pressure was what I wanted, and made sure I was comfortable. Reasonably priced, at I think $ 80 for a full hour deep tissue. I will for sure be going back!

The best part of my trip to San Antonio was my 2-hour ashiatsu massage with Jeni Spring. Jeni is smart, sweet, and caring, which puts the client at ease from the outset. I have had ashiatsu before — some good, some just so-so — but Jeni is clearly an expert, which is not surprising, since much of her practice consists of teaching ashiatsu to novices. If you’ve never had ashiatsu before, it may sound odd — the masseuse walking all over you with her bare feet — but it’s really the best way to get into those stiff, aching muscles. Traditional Swedish massage, by comparison, just feels like someone rubbing and pulling on your skin. Anyway, if I ever come back to San Antonio, the very first thing I’m doing is booking an ashiatsu appointment with Jeni Spring!

I will NEVER go to a spa or massage parlor again for relaxation. IHI has everything I need, and Kim has magick hands!!! She has helped me with arthritic pain, allergies, congestion, fatigue, and balancing me. I always feel amazing after a session with her. I have also worked with Mitzi and her hypnosis skills. I now have my husband seeing Denise for his chronic back pain, and he is sold on her services as well. The atmosphere is indescribably amazing, and I begin to relax the minute I walk through the door. The aromatherapy has rescued me from cedar and oak seasons. OMG, I just cannot explain how awesome this place is. I wish I could go every day!!!

I had a natural reflex appt with Kim Krost yesterday. Why did I wait so long! It’s exactly what I needed. Got me back in balance and just am feeling like a new woman today. Kim is so insightful and know just where you need her to support you. Having 12 alternative healing certifications and being on this path for 20 years, I do not make recommendations or give referrals half hazzardly. Knowing what I know, when I say someone is gifted and it’s special — believe me :) you will not regret it! Experience Kim!

Integrative Healing Institute offers reflexology, massage, skin care, formulations to help allergy sufferers; why, they even have a line of products for infants and pets! I purchased one of their Floressence products — a topical solution to combat my allergies — and received a «trial size» of Cedar-X(intended to relieve«cedar fever» symptoms), for free. Thus far, relief from allergies seems to be minimal; at least, though, I’m not sneezing like a maniac… and as a bonus, I smell like a cedar forest! Perhaps this route isn’t for everyone. But if you’ve walked the path of pills, sprays, shots, and(SHUDDER) Neti Pots with less-than-stellar success, you might want to give Floressence a shot.
