Fries on the menu for $ 2. So good deal? Think not. You gotta buy a burger if you want the fries. No kidding. We were just told that over here at Timberwood Park. We just wanted to taste some fries from them and were willing to pay the money for it, but up sale, is up sale I guess. So… Still wonder if they’re worth it. Went with a different food truck tonight. Hope they know what Unilocal is.

When I first saw Jimbos, outside of Branchline Brewery on a COLD Thursday evening, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The menu was intriguing, weirdly named sandwiches, fried pickles and something they called bacon bombs. Obviously, I was most interested in these bacohn bomb things. Pepper Jack Cheese and Cheddar Dough wrapped in bacon and deep fried, served with homemade, yes homemade, ranch. They did not dissappoint at all! These were absolutely amazing, a must have when you find this truck. They also have gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. The sandwiches are crazy concoctions with ingredients that include appes, cheese, nutella, caramel, eggs, hamburger, grilled onions, marshmallow, etc… No, they aren’t all on the same sandwich, this is just a small list of some of their ingedients. You can find Jimbo’s Slice of Heaven all over town. Follow them on Twitter, @JimbosSlice_SA and on Facebook , for times and locations. Most Sundays they are outside of The Brooklynite from 7 until late. That is about the only regular guaranteed spot.

I must admit that I’ve only tried one thing from this truck. I’ve been told it’s all good but the item I tried stuck out to me. Bacon Bombers! They were amazingly delicious! I’m just chilling out at the Brooklynite having an Old Fashion getting ready for the new episode of Walking Dead to start, I got a whiff of the sandwich that someone else ordered and I decided to go see what they had. I planned on being there for a while so I decided that I’d start with the Bacon Bombers and go back for a sandwich later. They deliver the Bombers to my seat at the bar. From the outside in the Bombers are bacon, French bread dough, and some sort if amazing cheese all deep fried completely wrapped in the bacon, served with a side of freshly made ranch dressing. I liked them so much instead of the sandwich I went back for more Bacon Bombers! I thought they were so good they deserved 5 stars! So yeah it was pretty darn good!

Bacon bombs. That’s the most important thing to come out of this truck, IMO. We always order a few items from them, including at least 2 orders of bacon bombs. They stuff homemade garlicky bread dough with pepperjack cheese, wrap that in bacon, then deep fry the whole shebang, serving it with homemade ranch. So. Damn. Good. There are updated grilled cheese sandwiches on the menu, some with nutella, and one with apples and caramel. So good, I can’t even handle it. Even the fried pickles are from scratch. None of that pre-fab frozen nonsense. Gross. This version comes with more homemade ranch and aren’t overwhelmingly pickle-y. They’re often set up at The Block and join us on Sundays at The Brooklynite for the Sunday Viewing parties.
