I drove this place many of times and decided to finally pop in and give it a shot. The staff was friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the quality of the food. I ordered an ham and cheese omelette, it took 30 min for my food to come to the table, it wasn’t busy. The toast tasted stale, the omelette itself wasn’t all great, you can better one from Denny’s. I’ll give it one more shot. Cute mascot though.

And another egg-citing visit to Jimmy’s Egg today! (PUNWARNING!) After my three-month checkup with the doc, I was hungry. I have to fast for my A1C reading(hope it’s good!), so I wanted Jimmy’s Egg today. Had the Garbage Omelet(not as bad as it sounds… PROMISE!), and a cuppa joe. Food was served quick, HOT and delicious! Service was also awesome! By the way, my poor, long-suffering wife has to put up with my «pun“ishment. «Omelette» you decide for yourself(sorry, Jeff Foxworthy… had to borrow that one) whether my bad«yolks» make the«Grade A», if they are just too eggs-tricably painful, or if I should just let them die and bury them«over easy». RIMSHOT! RIMSHOT! GROANSFROMTHEAUDIENCE… Thank you. I’ll be here all week! :-D

In laws took my wife and myself here the other day and for a breakfast place I was pleasantly surprised. Great menu selection and everything we ordered was very good. The only downer was the service, but I am willing to over look a good server having a bad day or even just a bad server.

Second review– still not sure why people rate this place low. We had breakfast on a Friday at noon and the food again was fantastic. They broke one of our eggs that was supposed to be over easy and so they gave us another one so we got three instead of 2 without even asking. The waitress offered to get us some raisin bread made in house on the grill to just try. The waitress was super energetic, attentive and friendly. Our meals were cooked perfectly and as usual we got a lot for the $$. We will be back again!

Established November 2014, Jimmy’s Egg offers an easygoing, very pleasant environment to ease yourself into the day. General impressions dub it a breakfast & brunch eatery, though some lunch staples are indeed on the menu. For a place akin to TE&I and, to a lesser degree, Denny’s and IHOP, Jimmy’s food taste/quality is on par with the others(breakfast mainstays, folks) — with plate presentation slightly nicer. Every item ordered was brought out within 10 minutes, hot and piping fresh. Our fruit bowls were surprisingly flavorful as well. Service could not have been better. Honestly, I’m not understanding other reviews’ gripes regarding impersonal employee interaction. Every visit to Jimmy’s thus far has been rounded out by wonderful hosts/hostesses, waitstaff and — what we appreciate most — management including the owner himself confirming a satisfactory experience. LIKE I ALWAYSSAY, treat everyone like family and you’ll be treated likewise… simple concept. A bright, modern, well kept space, Jimmy’s provides abundant tables, well as booth seating plus a handful of high-top stools facing the open-faced kitchen. A separate meeting room is also available. Menus are tableside and WiFi’s free. Private parking is plenty, with an additional exit behind the restaurant, in case rush-hour traffic into the Medical Center proves an issue. Rating specifics(i.e. 1 – 5, low-high)… — Overall recommendation = 3.5 — Food taste and quality = 2.75 — Portion size = 3.75 — Price = 3.25 — Atmosphere = 4 — General service = 3.75 — Waitstaff = 4 — Location = 3.75

This is one of the tougher reviews I’ve done. To start with we have the same lousy experiences pretty much everyone else mentioned when we first came in. The tables were probably 75% full, no one waiting to be sat except us, and that probably took 7 – 10 minutes to be acknowledged. We were about to turn and leave and then we finally got sat down. We ordered drinks pretty quickly and they took 10 – 15 minutes, long but not unreasonable. once we ordered food it actually came out really quickly, which was surprising, and after receiving our food the service was actually really good all of a sudden, not sure what changed. You really do get a good amount for your money here with the food, helpings are large, toppings were plentiful, and the on-house made raisin toast was really good. I think almost every review here prior to mine mentions poor management, which IMHO is completely accurate. The girls are very unorganized acting, and in this case I actually think may not just be their fault as much as it is having a proper management team, one that has clear and efficient processes in place, it just feels like a «seat of the pants» kind of place to work — I don’t envy these girls at all. Overall not sure if I would ever come back here to be honest, food wasn’t bad but the whole experience was just«meh». Like some other people mentioned, I wanted to love this place but just can’t. I was torn on 2 – 3 stars but felt the 3 is deserved, if only barely.

I really wanted to like this place as I had heard so much about it. I was in the area for a doctors appointment and thought I would give this place a try. I walked in and there was a total of about 6 people in the restaurant. I was seated and then my drink order was taken. There were three people total in my party and when our food came out it was cold even though there was almost no one in the restaurant. The waitress never brought me unflavored creamer for my coffee and I had to get up to replace an empty ketchup bottle on my table. For the price I paid the food was lacking and cold and the service was poor. Save your money and go to IHOP or Cracker Barrel you will enjoy it more.

My husband had the classic combo breakfast, the eggs, ham, and bacon were well prepared. The waitress forgot to bring the toast. She brought out the toast after my husband was almost done and it was the wrong toast. I had the BLT with an egg on the home made white toast. The bacon was crispy but the lettuce was that wimpy green leaf lettuce. It was ok, not great but not the worst I ever had. The fresh fruit was honeydew and cantaloupe. The hot chocolate was really good and they have free refills. Free WiFi Everyone was pleasant. We were there around noon on a Saturday and parked by the door with no waiting and plenty of tables. Bill was $ 21.50 They pre-calculate out the suggested tips at 18, 20, and 25%. I thought it was strange that there wasn’t a 15%

I came here for breakfast this morning very excited but I left disappointed. There was plenty of seating it wasn’t too crowded so I sat down and was served with coffee quickly. It took about 10 minutes to order since there were only two severs helping out and they were friendly. I ordered the build your own breakfast. It took about 15 minutes to serve the food. The egg had no taste and weren’t hot, hash browns were good, sausage patties were okay a little charred and the pancakes were tough to cut through. The only thing good was the coffee. They have different creamer flavors. It even took 10 minutes just to get my check! Ridiculous. I was really expecting this place to be good, next time I’ll just stick to other people’s ratings. Not worth coming back. Being that it’s called Jimmy’s Egg I would think they are the egg experts but don’t believe that.

I am giving 2⁄5 because the food is good. But the service is simply terrible. Saturday morning we had to wait first in line for 15minutes although the booth they seated us in was available and clean for all this time. Very poor organization. Then we waited forever to place our order. Finally, we came in at 11.40am and were served our food 1 hour and 5 minutes later at 12.45pm. they are just desperately in need of a manager.

The speciality pancakes were amazing and huge. The omelets were delicious. No unnecessary butter on hashbrown and eggs. Recommend for the whole family.

I decided to have breakfast here once again and tried the blueberry granola short stack of pancakes with a side of turkey sausage and my gf had a breakfast sandwich. The was friendly and attentive and served our coffee right away. Our food came out right away and everything was great. I was only able to finish half of 1 pancake as they were huge but delicious. We will return very soon!

Today I had the ultimate pancake deal with banana pecan pancakes… let’s just say these almost put mom’s to shame! Delicious and done throughout, plenty of banana and pecan in every b8te. The bacon was done, not too crispy(burnt) and not too wilted. The sausage was fresh and flavorful(can’t go wrong with Jimmy dean). Added a side of hashbrowns… have to say not many know how to cook perfect hasbrowns… hat off to the cooks. Service is great this visit, server is on top of all needs, doesn’t hover and has great attitude. The establishment is clean, and the detail is awesome. EVERYSINGLE table is well organized, with a huge mug of assorted creamer(totally awesome for me, I love flavored cream). Staff is very professional, neat and clean.

I decided to wait until we’d eaten here twice before writing a review. Because I was hoping to be able to give them more than two stars — I’m really not such a bad person. But. .. is it so difficult to bring someone what they ordered? The wait for food was longer than one expects in a place like this — what was it another reviewer called it, «a cleaner Dennys»? So we’d kind of forgotten what Spouse’s scramble was supposed to include. He’d eaten about a quarter of it, when I inquired about the whereabouts of one ingredient. .. nada. .. we went hunting. Sure enough, what he received was NOT what he’d ordered. By that point he said it tasted okay and it wasn’t worth making a deal out of. I ordered a la carte, as I often do at breakfast — 2 biscuits, gravy, one egg. I got one biscuit, two eggs(over rather than up and easy) and had to send back for the gravy — which wasn’t terribly hot when it did arrive. Why two stars? The server was friendly, and clearly stressed. As I say, I’m really not such a bad person. .. except when you mess with my breakfast!

Got here at 1025am ordered within a few minutes, it’s now 1105am and still no food because«2 big tables are causing the kitchen to be behind.» I’m a single diner today and really irritated at this excuse. Don’t seat me and take my order if you can’t accommodate in a timely fashion. The food is going to have to be something spectacular to overcome this. Should have stuck to my local fave around the corner, Courtyard Café. *just took a look around and the 2 «big tables» holding everything up each have 5 people. Uuggghh… growing more annoyed by the second. **asked if I could get an Ramage on where my ticket was in the line… that was about 7 minutes ago and waitress hasn’t returned to give an update. 45 minutes since ordering my food. Never again.

I made it out to Jimmy’s Egg today for breakfast and I really enjoyed it. It had an IHOP feel to it with out the crowds, and the menu was different as well. Lots of different things to choose from, I think what I liked most was the variety in the menu. I had the«Garbage Omelette» which contained ham, cheese, green peppers and hash browns. Along with that I got to choose two different types of sides do I chose more hash browns(yum!) and biscuits with gravy. The waitress was real good about keeping the coffee coming. I was filled up when done with my breakfast which is always a good feeling!

Diner atmosphere which reminded me of a cleaner Denny’s/IHOP. It was a little bland. Anyhow, I ordered the egg and ham sandwich, and it was okay. A lot packed in for a sandwich, that I did not finish the whole thing. I DID eat all the hash browns. They were pretty tasty with ketchup. My breakfast date got French toast, eggs, and hash browns. He did not like the French toast, for he felt it was a little too soggy for his tasting. Overall, the food was okay, not bad, but I have had better. The service was good, and even the manager came to our table to check if everything was okay. That is a plus. I just did not like the chef yelling the waiter’s name every time an order was up.

Hmm, ok fairly new location I believe. Think it’s a converted Denny’s. They have a wide variety of breakfast offerings, love that. The sign read«seat yourself». We did. They weren’t crazy busy as it was still fairly early on a Sunday-we’d beat the church crowd in. But here’s the thing, I probably had the worst waitress in the place. I observed her, I’m sure she was new so I’d already made the adjustment for that. But training aside, she didn’t appear to have the disposition for service. Not everyone does. Different restaurants require different things from servers. This type of restaurant calls for friendliness, speed, and accuracy. She was none of those. Remember, this was my first experience here-no greeting from her, not even a perfunctory one after waiting ten minutes for anyone to approach the table. I asked for coffee & water with no ice. It was freezing Sunday morning, didn’t need ice. She looked at me like I had a third eyeball. I still smiled. After bringing my coffee & and ice-filled water, we prepared to order. I chose the skillet with spinach & mushrooms. I asked her which she’d suggest, either wheat toast or biscuits. Her reply? «Well whichever». No kidding. Wheat toast it is. Couldn’t get a refill on coffee until I stopped another server. Our food was brought by a runner who was friendly & efficient. On my way to the ladies room, every other server smiled and spoke. It was then I realized I was being punked! Seriously, my daughter ordered biscuits so I got to try them. I recommend the biscuits over the wheat toast. The skillet was tasty enough. Her true challenge seemed to be the electronic ordering system the restaurant uses, that and an ineptitude for service. We’ll keep going to Courtyard Café, thanks.
