Sushi is good. A lot of variety. Got komasa roll, which was a sweet sushi roll. And also the fiji roll. Service a little slow but the sushi makes up for it.

I just moved here from Cali so we’ve been trying out a lot of new places. So far this is one of my favs. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is awesome, and the food is excellent. Definitely recommend. I had the beef tenderloin and chicken combo with fried rice and it was yummy. Not to mention the have plenty of options as they have a pretty well stocked bar. I’ll be coming back soon!

This place is ok. I would have to say not the best place. First off the sushi and overall presentation was good. My tuna salad was gross, the tuna look like it went threw a lawn mower and then thrown in a bowl. On top of that they made a creamy dressing for the tuna salad? Not very good. I felt like the chef was being lazy. Finally the fried ice cream was mostly like bread? It look like they made a ball of ice cream, put it between 2 toasts and then fried it. How dreadful it was… anyways it was my 2nd time visiting and my last.

Uno de mis favoritos si vas al lunch de lunes a viernes es súper económico(menos de $ 10.00) y te sirven bastante(chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura etc). Si estas cerca y es antes de las 3p entre semana te lo super recomendó.

I was happy to find a new sushi spot in town. I’ve been spoiled by Austin’s variety and was excited to find one nearby in San Antonio with lots of choices(getting the California rolls every time gets tiring). They have a great selection, their names lol, and the prices aren’t too bad for their portions. I’ve only tried the tempura variety so far with the Cosmo roll being my favorite. I really enjoyed that they have great descriptions on their menu as it helped me decide immensely what I wanted to order. I didn’t like the service too much as we hardly saw our waiter and when we did she rushed away before we could even ask a question(I was having difficulty with the rice side I ordered and just wanted a fork). Warning before you go avoid dinner rush as the wait list time can get pretty long. If you are unable to wield chopsticks I recommend asking for a fork as quickly as possible. Their drink variety has some awesome finds even though I couldn’t pronounce anything to save my life.

Will not come back. Took the server 10 – 12 mins to even take our drink order. Had to ask for the soup. Drinks ran out continuously with no refills. Appetizer came out after the meal(ordered 10 mins earlier). The kicker was my mixed teppanyaki came out cold so I sent it back. They threw the same meal back on the plate and left the one empty shrimp tail I had eaten to realize it was all cold. Talked to manager and he said sorry we are short staff and got slammed. Lost a customer tonight.

Had to wait ten minutes before a server even approached to take our drink order. I ordered the beef tepeniaki combo, asked for medium-rare and got charred well done. Zero seasoning on the meat and the«grilled» veggies were boiled broccoli, cauliflower, onions and carrots. Again zero seasoning. The side of rice wasn’t any better, the only thing you could taste was black pepper. Very disappointed, we will not be back.

Upon entering the restaurant my daughter and I were greeted by the hostess and noticed the darkened atmosphere with minimal lightning and modern earth tone furnishings. There was a bar and sushi bar on two sides of the seating area that were not occupied as it was before the dinner rush. We were seated and drink order was taken and we were brought complimentary Miso soup which was good. Not a huge fan of miso myself, but it was a nice start to the meal. Along with that was brought a trio of sauces to used with our food. The baby squid appetizer was delicious. Squid rings stuffed with Tampico paste, a sweet sauce and sesame seeds, served on a bed of cucumber slivers in a soy sauce. The squid had a firm texture without bring tough or chewy, and we received a generous amount for the price. Our entrees came a short time later and looked delicious. Presentation looked impeccable on white china.. . a wise choice in my opinion. My daughter ordered the Earth Roll, which had a nice light tempura coating. The filling(breaded shrimp, cream cheese. Avocado, Tampico paste) was just the right temperature and tasted just as good as it looked. My Yaki-Sobe Mixed consisted of stir fried noodles, good sized pieces of carrot, broccoli and onion along with shrimp and chunks of beerf. The beef was not tough, but could have been a little more tender. There was a fair amount of shrimp that were well cooked and seasoned. Speaking of the seasoning, the noodles had almost a crawfish boil type seasoning to it, as odd as that might sound. I couldn’t pin down the flavor. But I enjoyed it thoroughly. We both did. With service that was attentive a welcoming atmosphere I will definitely be back to explore more of their expansive menu.

Visited this place for dinner tonight. The food gets 5 stars for sure. But the service is horrible. Giving them 2 stars is being generous and it’s only because the food is great. So let me tell you about how good the food is first. We ordered 4 rolls: the volcano, the chihuahua, the Fiji and the rock shrimp rolls. All were incredible & prepared so well. The flavors molded together in harmony & textured were balanced. We also ordered gyoza & edemame as appetizers. These were also excellent. The gyoza was fried perfectly & the edemame was salted thoroughly; not just on top like some other places. The only flaw in the food was the fried crawfish in the volcano roll didn’t seem fresh. As if it had been made earlier in the day & sitting. But over all this did not ruin the taste of the roll. Our server was Jennica. When we were seated at our table, we gave her our full order because we looked at the menu during our 15 minute wait so we knew what we wanted. This seemed to inconvenience Jennica somehow or put her off– not really sure. Our appetizers arrived 30 minutes after we ordered. It was gyoza & edemame. Not sure those items warrant 30 minutes. Then our rolls arrived about 20 minutes AFTER our appetizers. The server Jennica didn’t bother to put forth customer service skills. She put our rolls on our table & asked if we needed anything else. «Plates?» I asked for plates because we put all the rolls in the center of the table. She didn’t seem to like that. Then we asked her for another pair of chop sticks because my husbands were removed with the appetizer plates. She said«ok»; again in a way like we bothered her and then said she’d also bring us refills on water. So she walked away & stopped at another table on her way back & we watched her talk up a storm with the ladies at that table while my husband sat & waited for ANY utensil to begin to eat his rolls. We had to ask another server for chops sticks & they quickly delivered. Same instance with the water refill. Jennica came back with the chop sticks but sat them down & walked away– no water. We stopped 2 other people to ask for water for my husband and tea for my stepson. Ridiculous. Then she came over to ask if we wanted dessert but almost asked through her teeth as if she just wanted us gone. She quickly brought our check to us but just sat it down & didn’t say anything. Same thing after we paid & she returned our bank card. Not one word of thanks nor did she EVER check on us while we ate. I mean, she made us feel like we were did something to her. Yet we saw her chatting with another table. Not sure what the deal is but this was a COMPLETELACKOFCUSTOMERSERVICE. My husbands words were«It’s so unfortunate because the food is so good but we will never come back because the customer service sucks.» I agree.

I actually went out of my way to write a review because the staff did nothing at all to take my order. They were a good 15 feet away from me and after raising my voice a few times, I was still ignored. In fact, i had to practically yell at the gaggle of staff gossiping to each other in the register to get my check for the drink I had(which again, I had to yell to get their attention)

My husband and I stopped in for lunch today… Great space, visually appealing and clean. The staff was nice and attentive. And most importantly the sushi was very good and didn’t take long to get either. I will def go back!

Great service & great food! The staff was very helpful in helping me make my decision on what to select. The entrée I got was a chicken teriyaki bowl, which came with a side of soup or broth with seaweed. I definitely enjoyed my visit.

Everything was very good with the exception of the miso soup and regular edamame, which I thought were both a bit bland. Four of us ordered four rolls and shared them. We got the ebi crunch, rainbow, Thai spicy and another that I can’t remember(perhaps the Maui wowie). They were all good, but the ebi crunch and Thai spicy were excellent! I would definitely go back!

Great atmosphere. We were seated quickly and offered complimentary Miso soup… it was delicious. Food. I thought the selection was great. I’m not a sushi person but my kids and husband loves it. They all found something they liked(kids are 7&9). I had beef teppanyaki… not as good as I had in Japan but it was cooked just as I asked and was very tender. Everything was served at the correct temperature too! Overall, a good experience. We will return.

Our favorite place to go for sushi after our massages. Your getting two stars today because the hostess tried to sit is in a both that the floor underneath was dirty from a previous guest. It was filthy it didn’t seem to bother her at all and after pointing it out she said oh so you want to move to another table? We moved to another table and she still made no attempt to clean the floor.

Not many Sushi options in San Antonio, so was excited to hear of one opening near by. Miso Soup gets 2Stars. Great flavor, lots of scallions but zero tofu pieces. Vegetable Tempura gets 5Stars. Generous portions. More than the two of us could finish. Loved that they included Cauliflower. Spicy Tuna Roll earns 3Stars only because the Spicy Mayo was too hot for my liking. The Skinny Roll earns 5Stars. At least a 10 piece roll. It was huge! Rolls are served with 3 Dipping Sauces. We had to ask for lower sodium soy sauce as they only keep regular on the table. The one thing this place does not offer is a house salad.

Great first impression! Started off with Spicy edamame, Jalapeño Firecracker, and the Tuna Jalapeñito as appetizers. The Firecracker was our favorite. The perfect spicy — jalapeño stuffed with crab cream cheese, tempura fried and covered with a spicy mayo and sweet soy sauce. The tuna Jalapeñito was a cocktail glass with sashimi grade tuna and a mix of marinated cilantro and cucumber. All were tasty. I got an Angel Roll for my meal which was very flavorful! My fiancé got the Picasso which was pretty good but not as flavorful. All dishes have excellent presentations! We’ll definitely go back to try other rolls and the Teppanyaki!

Service: great Drinks: caipirinha is not that great here. Appetizers: delicious(hand grenade, jalapeño firecracker, and gyoza) Teppanyaki: not so great. Over-seasoned veggies. The meat is tough. And it is way overpriced for the amount of food you get(see pics). Sushi rolls: nice presentation, but the taste is not up to par. And they put cream cheese in almost every single roll. Not very authentic or flavorful. Also over-priced.(See pics)

My parents & I came here while out of town for an interview I had. The inside is fairly small, but our wait wasn’t long. We were seated fairly quickly, but our waitress did not come by until maybe 5 minutes after due to how busy the restaurant was(or so it seems). Every person receives a free miso soup & an array of 3 dipping sauces that include spicy mayo, unagi sauce, & a spicy, sour(thai-inspired?) sauce. We ordered quite a bit, so I’ll just go ahead and get into those details. Spicy Calamari: 2⁄5. The batter was not crispy at all. It was soggy. Definitely would not order again. New Style Tempura: 3⁄5. The tempura was lightly battered. They do not joke around with you when they say sweet spicy mayo. It was very sweet, and I thought they put a little too much sauce on top. Try ordering this with the sauce on the side. Kumori Rice: 4⁄5. I’m not really a fan of fried rice. I don’t understand why people order it at restaurants at an entrée(but that’s just me). My mom ordered it, and said it was good. It was decent at best. Mixed Sashimi: 4/5, half order. The three fish came styled as roses. The tuna was extremely darker than I’m used to. The salmon & tuna were great. The hamachi was a bit chewy. Mixed Tempura: 5⁄5. This included shrimp, squid, white fish, and various vegetables including carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, and zucchini. Again, very hard to mess up tempura. Charlie Roll: 5⁄5. I thought this was great. It’s a riceless roll. It has salmon, tuna, escolar, shrimp, and crab wrapped in cucumber. The ikura & yuzu sauce was subtle, but I enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy raw fish, cucumber, and a slight sour kick. Overall impressed with this restaurant.

This place was great. Every roll we tried was perfect. This is a true hidden gem on the far northwest side. I definitely recommend anyone to check it out. It’s a cozy place so don’t be that person who shows up with a party of 20. Great for a date, or a small group.

So-so. The food, the service, the menu, the pricing. The portions are huge but when the food is mediocre, who cares. $ 60 for 2 people. Sheesh! We found the cheapest sushi roll($ 8.50 … All others started at $ 14), my husband ordered a beer and I got apple saki. Usually that saki comes in a regular wine glass but this was served in a double shot glass. I had to take the smallest sips to ensure I didn’t down it in 1 gulp. And at $ 4.50 it was a rip off. Main entrees — my husband got a steak, veggies, and some other sides … His steak was cooked to medium well when he asked for medium rare. He said it was almost shoe leather. He enjoyed the other parts of his dish — flavor were okay. I asked the waiter for a «comfort food» kind of meal, I mentioned something like a soup and noodle bowl — he suggested their curry chicken or pork. I went for it(nothing even close to what I asked for but whatever, lol). I got the fried pork that had curry sauce poured over it and white rice was under everything. The pork had zero flavor(the breading needed something — maybe salt but not table salt, the batter needed to be seasoned properly) but it was cooked right. The rice was blah/chewy and the curry was really spicy. I told the waiter that black pepper is spicy to me and he assured me this curry was very mild. My mouth was on fire! My husband took a few bites and even he thought it was pretty spicy and he loves spicy food. Anyway, I picked a few bites of my meal and pushed it away. My husband said we could take it home & he’d eat it for lunch the next day. Oh, this bowl of rice and thin pork chop was 14 freaking dollars! I could have fed a family of 4 this same meal for that price. Geeze! There were some dipping sauces dropped off at our table but the waiter didn’t bother to describe them even though he asked if we’d ever been there before(we said«no») … I believe that’s your cue to explain things! The waiter wasn’t observant at all. If I saw someone only take 2 bites of a dish and push it away, I’d certainly ask if anything was wrong. He came by when my husband was nearly done with his food and said to us «I’ll get your check … And a to-go box?» He(waiter) ragged on the place too — making fun of the menu… Claiming some word meant soup but the restaurant was using it wrong and the owner is dumb. What the what?! I’m bummed because I was excited when this place was under construction, hoping for a decent Asian place in Alamo Ranch. Such a disappointment. The interior is trendy… the décor is a welcome change from fast food chains in the area, but at $ 60 for 2 people I think I won’t be coming back.
