Just okay. Food is not amazing. It’s nothing to write home about but I will Unilocal about it. The staff was helpful with the kids, getting us extra plates and such. Parking is sparse.

It wouldn’t take much to make La Madeleine really special. It’s already quaint with European charm, and the food and coffee are good. We went there for breakfast; the cinnamon crepes with strawberries were excellent. The eggs were good, and the potato latke was amazingly tasty. The croissant would have been spectacular had it been served warm. The atmosphere is cute, with old world charm and a fireplace. With bottomless coffee and free bread and jam, this would be such a cozy place to spend a morning working or studying.

Merci la Madeline for a delicious brunch! I had a custom made omelette that was cooked to perfection and accompanied by a buttery croissant(pretty darn close to as good as the ones I had in France over the summer.) Topping the food experience however was their impeccable service. From warming up my cup prior to filling it with the self service coffee to the kind woman circling the restaurant taking care of everyone’s needs. I will definitely be returning!

We ended up here by chance, after Cappy’s restaurant down the street failed to remember to open their front door for Sunday brunch. The décor is cute and French in style. It’s warm and lively with staff and customers. We took a look at their menu before we got in line at the counter to order. We saw lots of breakfast and other pastries displayed there; they looked very yummy. After ordering at the counter, we took our marker to a table and got our waters. My husband had some coffee and it was really tasty! We were confused about getting orange juice(must order specifically at the counter, because it’s not at the drink area), and a nice lady clearing tables helped to explain it and suggested a mango tea as another option since we had already paid for regular drinks. We got the Parisian eggs Benedict and a Quiche Lorraine. Both were delicious! This location was bustling for breakfast, so it seems popular. We will definitely be back to one of the locations around town!

La Madeleine never disappoints. Today was just a quick stop for dessert, I ordered the lemon tart as always it was wonderful. The restroom was clean and well stocked, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the overall condition of the restaurant looks great considering it was about 20 minutes after lunch rush. Keep up the good work, I’m sure we’ll see you soon.

I’ve been to numerous La Madeleine cafes across the county and this one is just a head above the rest. Everything they make is wonderful and their staff is always very courteous and helpful. A solid 5 stars!

Food was OK. Service was very good however. For the money, I would prefer another deli style restaurant.

Breakfast review. Sunday morning was nice and quiet there. No line, and we were able to sit near the fireplace on this cold Day. Tea bar was nice. I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Yum! I loved their croissant. Buttery, melt in your mouth goodness. Ambience was nice and cozy. In all, a good experience.

Just went in to have a cup of fruit, a cookie and an orange juice to go. I was given the most disgusting fruit, it was slimy. Went to my car opened the container had a piece and went back inside to let then know and I was greeted with indifference… I have been going to this place since it first opened, never again!

Justin, shift manager this afternoon, showed professionalism & sound judgment when dealing with a minor issue. We have gone there several times & will continue, as the food & service are great. Ramiro was our server — friendly & responsive. We’ll be back, often.

What a great understated place. It is always good with a great atmosphere including a fireplace. Wide variety of country French food in a very casual setting. Order at the counter, get a number and wait at your table. Their quiches and mushroom soup is particularly good. One of our favorite restaurants any time!

Simply one of my favorite places for lunch! We had the French Dip, Chicken salad on croissant, and salmon salad. We also added cups of tomato, mushroom and onion soups… everything was fantastic! You can either eat in or do-take out. This is perfect if you want to eT in the park or simply take it home to dine!

Wonderful French Cuisine~ This location has an amazing Staff and Jessica the Manager runs a Tight Ship! While there is much to sample on the menu, the eggs and the strawberry marmalade over a buttery crescent will have you coming back again and again. The hash browns smothered in ketchup will keep you salivating and next on my list are the French Toast. While I do love La Madelince on Broadway, I gave this location 4 stars because the parking is notrotious and I still feel the prices are a tad high. It is a nice get away when cereal and oatmeal won’t cut it, that provides you with a French setting and country-like theme. I have ate at this location and the location near North Star mall, yet this is still my favorite. I will return in the near future.

Kind of like the Macaroni Grill of French food. I’m not sure why anyone would go here expecting«authentic» food and environment since it’s a large, national, cafeteria-esque chain, but if you go here with the right mindset, then it gets the job done. Plus, you can learn how to count to ten in French while peeing. Parking is tricky since you can only enter the small lot if going north on Broadway, but there’s also a back parking lot behind the building that you can get to by turning on one of the side streets. They’ve changed the set up and ordering process recently. I used to like how if you were just grabbing a salad trio, you could skip the line, grab a tray, and get going. Now, everyone orders from the same line and you wait for them to bring it to your table. There are plentiful healthy options and loads of indulgent treats, so you can go either direction. And who doesn’t love complimentary sourdough bread with jam?

I personally was disappointed in this place. We decided to check it out after shopping at Central Market, seemed like a nice pitstop as it’s just across the street. The reviews on Unilocal were raving so I was really excited. Hubby and I both ordered a piece of the strawberry cheesecake and a house coffee. He didn’t finish his piece and I gave a valiant attempt, but it was just way too sweet. It reminds me more of a Panera Bread than a French café… it also though may have something to do with having lived on the French border in Germany for five years too and maybe expecting the same thing with La Madeleine. It is a nice change though from the repetitious fast food eateries that swarm San Antonio. There is seating outside on the«porch» area and also spacious seating inside. They have a broad menu of choices ranging from salads to soups and sandwiches, but like I said earlier really reminds me more of a Panera. I did see they had some loaves of bread for sale and some baguettes, but whether those were handmade in store I wasn’t sure. In short, it is a nice change in pace but authentic French bakery it is not.
