Le Cake

Great service! Whenever I need a fresh great tasting cake this shop does it. Hands down, as well 24 turn around which has helped on several almost forgotten birthdays.

I’ve been coming to Susie since her location was in Olmos Park. I will follow her anywhere best tasting cakes, cupcakes, and baked goods in San Antonio. She has done wedding cakes, birthday cakes, quincianera cakes, and client cakes for me. Love her work.

Got this cute purple alligator cake for my daughter’s birthday party. It was very affordable and availabe on a short term notice. Everybody at the party was happy with the design of the cake and my daughter loved it. It was very moist although it tasted like it had been refrigerated for a day or so, but still great and a hit at her party.

I’ve been using le Cake years, and Suzie near fails me. Her cakes are always moist and delicious. Others always want to know where my cakes come from. Just about to order my son’s birthday cake from her for the 5^th year in a row.

I was really, really excited about using Le Cake for my wedding. I’ve visited a couple of times now, and both times I went in wanting to set up an appointment to taste cakes with my fiancé. Both times, she went ahead and sent me home with samples. I thought this was really generous of her — to just give someone cake samples without knowing if they were truly interested in purchasing anything. Because she was so generous, and because the cake was decent, I went ahead and ordered a cake I needed for a party that was coming up. We drew the cake out, wrote up an invoice, everything.
When it came time for me to go pay for the cake, I went in and changed the look of the cake. I didn’t change the shape, number of tiers, or anything major — I wanted the cake exactly as before but with different coloring on the tiers. She pulled the original invoice out, wrote the corrections on it — I saw the cake remained drawn the same, and was excited to come back and see her work.
The cake didn’t look like what I described I wanted, nor did it look like the drawing we had initially drawn up, together. The tiers weren’t right, the shape was all off, and it looked like something I could have done on my own. I was really bummed about the whole experience.
On a bright note, the owner is friendly and dishes out cake for free whenever.

Le Cake, c’est great! I have ordered beautiful and scrumptious cakes, cupcakes and cookies from Le Cake for years and have never been disappointed. I recently ordered 3 dozen iced Valentine sugar cookies for my daughter’s Brownie troop meeting, and the girls loved them – they were so pretty and tasted delicious, too. I had to hide several away so my husband and I could enjoy a few after the meeting was over. The brand new location on Rittiman is great – while this business is based on special orders, the owner also has a bakery case with a few «grab & go» cupcakes & cookies. This is a wonderful, albeit pricier, option when grocery store-​bought treats won’t do. The sugary aroma emantaing from the bakery will knock your socks off and reminded me of the intoxicating sugar scent wafting from Magnolia Bakery into the streets of NYC…

I ordered my wedding cake from Le Cake, as well as a handful of birthday cakes and they are fantastic. I especially recommend their Italian Cream cake with cream cheese icing. It’s kinda like a carrot cake without the carrot.
Their location has changed though — they’ve been on Olmos Circle for almost a year now…
