I’m one of those old bastards who only knows Lego as a bucket of bricks and a thick wordless manual with suggestion on what to build. That aside, it’s pretty amazing to walk around and look at all the sets and display pieces. You get to see some amazing builds that change regularly and sometimes feature local landmarks or seasonal items. The only real downside is the price. I’m not really into this stuff, but dear God is it priced retail high. Checking online, there is a significant mark up going on here. Which is a bummer for folks like he who see something neat, but don’t have that kind of cash to waste on impulse buys.

We are huge LEGO fans around here so naturally we love the LEGO store that recently opened up in North Star Mall. It is great for kids with an interest in building, as they have a whole wall full of bricks separated and organized. This is great if you child loses a crucial piece to a set they have or wants some extra wheels to build some crazy futuristic cars. They also have an area where you can build your own mini fig which is pretty cool. The only downside here is that I see a lot of money being spent here in the next few years!
