Hey. This is one of the few buffet available Luby’s. The food is delicious as is all Luby’s. The floor attendants replenish or take your orders for seconds. The desserts are extra and they make it a point to put the very best desserts out. I dare you not to want one when you get to the end of the serving line. Now we get to the minus star. The floor attendants are nice but Hun they are lazy as a outdoor dog. There wasn’t one clean table and this is a big place. Not a single one. Folks were walking in a circle trying to find a place to sit. I did notice the manager come out and look at the chaos. I would have done the same which is turned and walked back to kitchen. Other than that it’s a bargain. Enjoy.

I love the fact that this Luby’s location has a buffet. I enjoy the fact that I can load up on vegetables without worrying about price and portion size. The one drawback is the wait staff. They’re a bit slow. I would much prefer not utilizing them but that’s not an option and I feel inclined to tip even though I didn’t use them.

The entry was disorganized and the food prep/serve area was a total mess. Food was cold and tossed all over the serving area. At the cashier there was no ice in machine or silverware for tea. The cashier was pleasant. The dinning area was in chaos. Only 20% of the dinner area had customers yet every table minus 1 was a total mess. By the time the waiter for the table came we were done with our cold valentine meal. Oh yes by the way there were no serving bowls so take out bowls were used and only a spoon full of vegetables were placed in this large container. What a waste. So glad we received my military discount atleast.

Undercooked but large BREASTOFCHICKEN. Cold green beans, the elder folk look so aggravated that I felt compelled to decide fast or get slapped. I didn’t understand the process and I told them but you know it’s a cafeteria sooooooo I guess I should’ve expected this. Yucky old styled that smelled like moth balls and funk! Yuck

Yummy, traditional Luby’s fare is what you’ll find here at this east side location. The exception… ALLYOUCANEAT option! Yes…I said it… all the veggies I want! So let’s see, cabbage that is cooked like my mom used to with a generous helping of pepper throughout. Spinach that is finished with a touch of butter. Broccoli that is steamed and, well just steamed and good for you! And then throw in some tasty squash, and you’ve got a hearty and delicious lunch. I never miss a chance to fill up here when I’m working on this side of town.

Mac and cheese tastes like glue. All food was lukewarm and not fresh. Cornbread was the worst I’ve ever had. Stuffing? Stovetop is better than this. Meatloaf wasn’t pleasing at all. Lemon pepper chicken had decent flavor but was not fresh at all. The only thing good about my visit was that the staff was pleasant and polite. How is this place still in business? Blind tradition, I’m guessing.

I went back for the evening buffet. A better selection and slightly cleaner. The food was delicious. The young man working as my waiter was courteous and attentive as he worked a large section.

Glad to say we visited our local Luby’s here in Corpus Christi and were very pleased. The food was fresh and hot, tho my hubby did not care for the seafood patty, my fish and veggies was great, especially the new jalapeño Mac n cheese. Worth a return trip!

I’ve been eating at lubys all my life, my grandparents use to take us to this very location every Sunday after church for as long as I can remember. My wife not being from Texas and never been to lubys, fell in love. The food is good, the service is good. All you can eat! I really like the gm(Dennis)at this Lubys, everytime I see him he’s working hard, last time my wife and I were in, he took time to visit our table and others around us to ask if there was anything he could do or get us, that reminded me of the lubys I once knew as a kid, now all you need is to bring back the tea cart.

Horrible horrible SERVICE! don’t expect a beverage refill or more food on their all you can eat lunch(what I had, it’s about $ 8 drink not included) or dinner. No one came to our table for service, btw you pre pay so I did pre tip on my bank card $ 8 bucks for my wife and I, believe me I did get my tip back since we never got service. I grew up eating Lubys and it used to be great. Prices are up and service is down. Secondly the food quality is horrible! Over cooked and burned. If I want Lubys id rather pay full price for a regular plate at another location. Dont visit this location just for the all you can eat! NEVERAGAIN!

Their food is good as long as you go thru the week. Avoid Sundays. On Sundays, They’re way too packed with people, they rush to cook their food, So it doesn’t come out tasting good, they run out of food, and customer service sucks.

Seriously, you can’t go wrong with Lubys! They have so much to choose from and the sweet tea? So good! This location was right on time. The staff were friendly and made sure our cups stayed full. Oh, also– they have all you can eat! Need I say more?

I AMNOTIMPRESSEDWITHTHISLOCATION… THEYOFFER A 10% MILITARYDISCOUNT Never been to one of these places before. For the first experience at Luby’s it was ok. One of the young ladies behind the counter serving food was not very friendly to my girl friend but was overly help full and talkative to me. Another one was an old lady that was not moving very fast when handing out the food and I was comfortable about her talking over the food. My first serving of fish was not hot. The second serving was nice and hot and tasty. The waitress was very nice and friendly. She was very kind and explained to use how Luby’s worked. As a new and potential life long patron of this establishment ALL the workers should be this helpful. I am intrigued by the concept of this company so I will try another location before I totally write them off as an organization.

Geez. After a suggestion from a friend’s mom, saying there was a 4th of July deal — Luann platters for $ 4, my husband and I said«why not?» Well, this particular Luby’s doesn’t have Luann’s for some reason… Weird. There was however, an all you can eat for $ 8 something — $ 8 with a military discount. We both opted for that. Bad idea. 2 entrees, 4 sides and a roll. That’s a ton of food! My husband has a big appetite and couldn’t even eat half either. Not to mention that my food wasn’t great. Mashed potatoes with white gravy — ok, black eyed peas — not good, a bite of my husbands Mac and cheese — not good, my green beans — I’ve easily had better, the cabbage — loved it, the fish — one was pretty great, one was kind of blah. Oh yeah and they charge quite a bit for dessert and a drink. My lemon meringue was not great and my husband said his cheesecake was«alright». Luby’s is rather expensive. Our bill came out to $ 29 for two people… And I used to think Luby’s was expensive when I was younger… this experience just cemented my prior thoughts on this place.
