The green and ham omelette is good. I liked it a lot. I came on a Friday noon time so waiting wasn’t bad. If you are in San Antonio, should definitely try it out.

This is hands-down my favorite breakfast spot in all of San Antonio. Many people would say the same as proven by the long(but well worth it) wait times on the weekends. When on a wait, they take your cell phone number and send you a text when your table is ready. Make sure you have it out and up loud or on vibrate so you don’t miss your text, but if you do, they are kind and put you right back up at the top of the list. If you’re a fan of pulled pork, homemade biscuits, and Eggs Benedict, you MUST try the Southern Bennie — pulled pork, fresh biscuits, perfectly poached eggs, and hollandaise and bbq sauce — YUM! The pancakes and omelettes are also the lightest and fluffiest I’ve had anywhere. I’m sure it’s pretty much impossible to get a bad meal here. You can’t go wrong with anything, and they serve great coffee as well! The service is also great. The staff is always friendly and attentive and ready to answer your questions. If you haven’t been, make it a point to check out soon. It’s a San Antonio staple because of its consistently great food and service. Don’t miss it!

Wow! First time coming here! I am on a gluten free diet so I was not able to partake in their famous pancakes, but I was able to try their gluten free pancakes! They are made of buckwheat! I loved them! Wow! Amazing. Their orange juice is also amazing! Freshly squeezed! Totally worth It. Be prepared to wait before you get sat!

Holy breakfast heaven, Batman! What a fantastic place! Attentive wait staff, beautiful layout, and the food was GREAT. I had sausage and biscuits and gravy with scrambled egg and bacon, and added a side of corned beef hash and hash browns. Coffee was hot and delivered with an insulated pitcher left on table so you could do your own refills, awesome. My companions had the green eggs and ham(spinach, green peppers, green onions and ham served open-faced with Jack cheese and cilantro pesto) with a waffle and the other had the Authentic Munchener(Granny Smith apples, zesty cinnamon and secret spices all combined to create a puffed pancake). I tried the Munchener and it reminded me of the taste of an apple fritter, absolutely yum, like a big plate of dessert. I did not try the green eggs and ham because I dove into the best corned beef hash I have tried, with shredded corned beef and potatoes caramalized nicely in the pan. Really really great. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy had a smokey flavor that took a bit of getting used to and the biscuits were thick but light and perfectly done. Two of us had bacon and were surprised at the lack of saltiness we have come to expect with commercial bacon. If you want it to taste like store bacon, a dash of salt will do it. My other companion found the same thing with the whole hog sausage, but in both cases it allows the diner to salt to preference, which was interesting. The hash browns were a rectangle of crunchy exterior/soft interior goodness. Our waiter, Ricky, never missed an opportunity to be right WHERE you needed him WHEN you needed him. BTW, the pancake syrup, which reminds me a bit of the taste of cotton candy, is available bottled for purchase. You can’t go wrong coming here, at all, ever :)

Finally made it here for breakfast! I’m really not that big on breakfast but, after eating here I will be. I’m fat and happy, may even roll out of here. It’s soooo worth it. The staff is amazing. All so very friendly. I can’t wait to come back

It was about 1:30 Sunday afternoon. We thought we would get a table easy. We were wrong! We had to wait for about 25 minutes before we were called. What a busy place! I ordered my favorite breakfast item: Florentine benedict. It looked really appetizing when it arrived at the table. The two poached eggs were cooked just perfectly, over a bed of fresh spinach and nicely toasted muffin. I had eggs Benedict before in some other restaurants. Usually, it comes with some garnishes, such as fried potatoes or some fruits. But this one didn’t. Anyway, each restaurant has its own style of plating. I also ordered a drink to go with it, which was spicy tomato juicy. It was better than I expected. Give it a try if you like the taste of bloody Mary minus the adult beverage. We also ordered Joe’s eggs. It was awesome! It didn’t look like regular omelette. It was round and thick, like the size of a small pan pizza. It has minced sausage meat and vegetables, like spinach, mushroom, and onion. Nicely fried, it was very tasty. You won’t go wrong with this omelette. They offer different types of pancakes: regular for young people, wheat for old people, and buckwheat for very old people. I never tried buckwheat, so for the sake of fun I gave it a try. The texture was a bit rough(as expected). It was still quite moist and not as dry as I thought. I put a lot of syrup and some butter. By the way, the syrup was warm. Overall, it tasted quite decent. Good healthy choice! The coffee was very good — rich, aromatic with a hint of vanilla flavor. The waitress was also very courteous and friendly. We were trying to order a stack of pancakes to share, not knowing that each breakfast item came with two pancakes. She was very nice to let us know and asked if we(four of us) really wanted to consume more than a dozen pancakes. We said no, thankfully. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The décor is southern. There is a nice patio seating area outside with many beautiful trees. Not quite sure if they are magnolia since the magnolia I have seen is not like that. Overall, it was a great visit. We’ll come again if we are in this area, but probably not around rush hours.

This San Antonio favorite has a lot going for it. The restaurant has maintained a B&B feel with its furnishings. You feel like you’re having breakfast at Grandma’s house. The food matches the feeling perfectly, decently priced with generous portions.

So many tasty and unique choices that we had a hard time choosing! My sister and I ended up splitting the southern bennie which did not disappoint and had a delicious sauce on it. Our waitress was very helpful in our choosing and she even offered us the option of upgrading our side item to the banana nut bread french toast for only a small extra fee so we wouldn’t have to order an entire extra entrée. Splitting the bennie and french toast side was plenty for the two of us! The banana nut bread was the perfect consistency with a great nutty crunch to it. The french toast was garnished with plenty of fresh fruits that were much more satisfying than the usual canned fruit most restaurants give you. The warm syrup served in personal shot-glass like pitchers was also a great touch! Overall great experience! Can’t wait to go back and try more!

This place is okay. It’s super popular though, so you’ll have to wake up super early or wait for 1 – 2 hours. The food is decent, the service is sub par, and the pricing is a little on the high side for what you’re getting. If the wait is more than 15−20m I’d skip it and go somewhere else.

First thing you notice is the packed parking lot. It was 40 degrees outside and people were waiting in their cars. Expect an hour wait as told, got in after 30 minutes with party of 3. They mentioned an app, I think it was called NoWait or something. It tells you your place in line and they would text when your table is ready. Service was quick considering the full haus. French toast was meh, I would skip that. Waffles were super soft, would get it as an upgraded side, but do not recommend getting it for $ 7.50 alone.

As long as I’ve lived in sa I’ve never tried this place. After hearing so much hype I decided to try it today. This place did not disappoint. The wait wasn’t bad. The service was efficient. But the star of the show was the food! The crab cake Benedict was awesome. The blueberry pancakes were so delicious and there were plenty of blueberries. I don’t even like pancakes but I like these! The jambalaya part of the jambalaya omelette was super yummy! Tasted very authentic. Prices are very reasonable. For the food, wait, and price I give it 5 stars. For this review I elected to give it 4(I would’ve given 4.5) because of the Bloody Mary. It was disappointing. No olives, barely any alcohol… eh. I would’ve been better off just drinking water. Bloody Mary aside though, definite must try. Just don’t get the Bloody Mary and you won’t be disappointed! I will absolutely be back.

This place is my go-to meet up place with my two best friends from high school. The service is consistently good, and the food is consistently fantastic. My friend Matt always orders the Apple Pfannekuchin. I’m not 100% sure what it is, besides the fact that it’s pretty damn delicious. Imagine a bear claw Apple pancake with a little whip cream. I’m a relatively certain they lace it with cocaine. Annelise and I, however, not quite matching Matt’s appetite usually settle for somethings a bit lighter. I love the gingerbread pancakes, or if they are out of season I’ll get a blueberry buckwheat. Scrambles are awesome, the eggs are buttery and delightful. Also, the fruit sides are amazing. I always get strawberries and bananas– they are so fresh and come topped with whip cream, what more can a girl ask for? I really wish they had an espresso machine, and I wish they weren’t quite so pricy. However, they ARE The Fabulous Magnolia Pancake Haus so they’ll have my business no matter what. I never come to San Antonio without giving this place a visit.

The plan was to meet here for breakfast with other sisters and friends. When I realized the wait would be 70 – 90 I was not happy. I put my name down and went to the back to wait with a mimosa. As people continued to get seated, we moved ahead on the No Wait app. We were seated in about 40 minutes which was a relief. We had Chris as our waiter who was helpful and fun. We ordered(group of 8) and we’re served within 15 minutes. Man, that corned beef hash was amazing. I will be back.

I don’t typically go out for breakfast, so when I do it’s quite an occasion. Magnolia Pancake Haus is totally worth it. I had read about wait times, so I made my husband wake up super early on a Saturday to make sure we got there by 7. We made it around 6:50 a.m., and there were already people parked in the parking lot. As it got closer to 7, more and more people were arriving. It was crazy, y’all. Once it hit 7, we were quickly seated. There is plenty of dining space, so I think that wait times shouldn’t be too long, even during busy times. It seemed like the restaurant went on forever. Our waitress was superb, and quickly brought us their delicious coffee. We stayed for quite awhile, so the $ 3 we each paid for our coffee was totally worth it. We went through two pitchers AND she gave us a to-go cup when we left. This coffee is GOOD. I asked how they make it, and she said it was like a hot chocolate machine, rather than a traditional brewed cup, so I don’t know exactly what that means. All I know is it is freaking good. The food is great too, of course. I tried the German apple pancake since it was my first time at MPH, and although it was delicious it was also suuuuuuuper sweet. Too sweet for breakfast. But I saved most of it and had it cold later on, and it was still delish and perfect as a dessert. I also got a side of fruit, which was a bit expensive for what I got, but the whipped cream topping was yummy. The hubs tried the crabcake eggs benedict, which he enjoyed, along with the upgraded granola pancakes as his side. The granola pancakes are my favorite!!! So my tips for you: come early or be prepared to wait. Get the granola pancakes. And definitely order coffee and try it without cream first.

WILLKOMMEN? Such a disappointment our last visit. An establishment that plans to strictly enforce incomplete party policies owes it to good customers(who value eating out as a special occasion) to post such policies and refer to them as people are asked to wait up to 45 minutes. In the time while waiting I decided it would be good use of time to use the facilities, which there was also a wait for. Otherwise I would be delaying events until I would already be taking up a table. They paged my wife, who they took a rude unfriendly authority with about an incomplete party of 2. When I returned to my wife(who had been admonished by a male employee) I could no longer feel any pleasure doing business with such an unwelcoming place.

Magnolia Pancake Haus really puts high quality care into their dishes. Everything is just so damn good and comes at an affordable price. It’s WORTH the long wait on weekends, but if you can, come during the weekdays. There’s way to many reviews raving about this place… and the hype is real!!! I’ve gotten the… –Coffee(Amazing!!! and I got like 3 free refills… cuz yo girl needs coffee) –Pancakes(Regular… banana foster… chocolate. you name it but no matter what, all gr8. All come with butter and syrup to your heart’s content) –Eggs Benedict(Perfectly poached eggs and Canadian bacon… what else needs to be said) –Corned Beef Hash(A bit greasy for me, but still delicious…) –Stonewall Breakfast(BISCUITSANDGRAVY) –Apfel Pfannekuchen(THISISREALLYSWEET, I suggest taking this home and eating it as a dessert) Service is wonderful. Food is exceptional. This place deserves 5 stars, no doubt.

Holy cow. Amazing. Everything is so f-ing good. –1 because I’ve always waiting for so long for my food. That’s the only bummer. Download the no wait app and get in line via cell phone :)

Highly recommended for breakfast. My favorite thing on the menu is definitely the coffee. The waffles and pancakes are delicious. Anything with pulled pork is also tasty. I love the Belgian waffle here. It is huge and delicious. The crust is crispy and the interior fluffy and airy. I love the whipped butter and the warm syrup that comes with it as well. The ham is not too salty and the portion generous. I also love their grits and like many others here, the corn beef hash. That particular hash is possibly the best I have ever had. The staff is very friendly and overall atmosphere is cozy. If you have a large party and you want seats for weekend brunch, good luck. People who complain to me about Magnolia say the hour long waits are not worth it but I’ve never had to wait an hour. Try to come during a slow period(not weekend brunch) if it is your first time. This will make the experience a lot more enjoyable. After trying other breakfast places around the area I’ve decided to update my review to 5 stars. The food here tastes really good to me, the service has always been incredible and the memories here for me are very good. I’ve shared many wonderful meals and conversations with friends here and that is something no other place can compete with.

Maybe it was my hunger, maybe it was the heat, or maybe it was just THAT good. Hands down, this is one of the best brunch places I have ever been too. On a Friday morning with a large party expect to wait anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes. They overestimate the wait time by quite a bit, so you’ll probably be seated much faster than you think. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that this is a very established brunch place; the staff are incredibly friendly and even more efficient. The entrance hall is also lined with newspaper clippings and food reviews of the restaurant. In addition to the amazing staff, the food is absolutely exquisite. I’m not sure what they put in their food, but it’s just so much better than any other brunches that I’ve had before. It’s like IHOP but with 20 upgrades. Personally, I ordered the beef hash and a mimosa. It was soooo much food, but I couldn’t help but finish it. The hash was delicious, and it came with two very fluffy, very wonderful buttermilk pancakes. They even bring out small containers of freshly warmed syrup for the pancakes. The mimosas were also fantastic; they give you a small bottle of champagne and you can pour your own oj to champagne ratio. The coffee was also incredible; it was really smooth and very effective. Tl;dr: The wait may be long, but the food is so worth it.
