Coffee definitely has a unique taste, but in a good way. Has a great comfy vibe and offers wifi for those coffee lover who love surfing the web while having a cup of joe. Pricing is quite moderate but not too pricey. Do recommend coming to check it out yourself! It’s going for a 4Star due to their short hours.

So far, I’ve only had their tea & coffee. I’m absolutely obsessed with their Iced Soy White Mochas. Too delicious. I love the environment, very cozy & calm for studying.

I enjoyed a refreshing vanilla iced latte here along with an egg and cheese on a blueberry bagel. Coffee was delicious and not overly sweat and the egg on the sandwich was very fresh. This is a great place to get some work done, as they have a lot of comfortable seating and a good wifi connection. Plus everyone is very friendly in a genuine way, which is nice especially in the morning.

This is currently my favorite coffeeshop in San Antonio. I highly recommend the Ice Black Cherry Amaretto Latte and anything paired with the Jalapeño Bagel. Their music selection is amazing and I don’t find it distracting at all when I’m studying. The blueberry muffins and coffee cake are amazing and baked fresh!

Awesome coffee, awesome baked goods! The workers here are usually pretty pleasant but sometimes you can catch one in a mood.

Was in desperate need of a good coffee fix. Unilocaled what was near by and found this great little place. LOVE their Double French! It is so strong and bold that it will cause you to grow hair on your chest! If your into that sorta thing. It is similar to the big chains but with a better selection of soups and sandwiches. IMO. Loved they were sponsoring Pets Alive in their patio. Will be back!

Highly recommend their ice white chocolate mocha(blended or not). I just discovered this place not too long ago and I am hooked on their coffee. If you like sweet drink with the tiniest hint of coffee then I recommend this drink. They have other options if you aren’t into coffee like smoothies and other foods to eat also. This is also a great place to study, not overly crowded like local or Starbucks down on medical. I will definitely be back.

Coffee was ok. Bad customer service. Asked for a small coffee was given a large, my order was to go and they out it on a plate to eat in. When given my order to go I the girl threw the bag in the table without apology. There are too many coffee shops in the city to not at least try and have good customer service.

Aspen Brew is the one coffee shop that has literally never made my coffee wrong. It is my to go place when I want to pick up a quick cup of coffee for studying at home! OUTLETS/TABLES: There are quite a bit of tables to study at, and usually the weekends are not too incredibly packed so you can find a decent place to study. However, if you need outlets, you’ll have to try and snag a table near the walls and usually those are the ones always occupied during the busy hours. Otherwise, it’s a low key place to get work done! COFFEE/FOOD: First of all, if you’re coming here to find latte art or coffee served up in pretty mugs, that’s not the place. All of their coffee is served in to go cups which is one reason why I usually don’t study here, but regardless, their coffee is good. Now I’m not a black coffee drinker and like my coffee on the sweeter side(I’m a latte girl) so my to go drink here is the HOTWHITECHOCOLATEMOCHA. People, it’s made right every single time and incredibly smooth and tasty — it’s not overly sweet like how Starbucks can be, and I’ve honestly never had a better white chocolate mocha. I haven’t had anything else here except the HOTCHOCOLATE which my roommate and I weren’t too big fans of. As for FOOD, they have an assortment of bagels, paninis, and cakes which I haven’t tried any so no opinion there! A really solid option for coffee in the medical center! Will always be back to enjoy their white chocolate mocha and friendly service!

It just doesn’t really get any better than Aspen’s Brew. First of all, it is named after the dog of the owner, who has since passed. From what I can tell, the dog played a big role in the shop opening and spent his time at the shop with the owner. In recognition, the coffee shop has dog treats and water out for any dog visitors. The baristas are always very sweet and make an amazing cappuccino. The cookies, cakes, etc. are to die for. My favorites are the peanut butter/chocolate cookie and the carrot cake. I can’t even find anything to complain about with them! I just love all of it. …Okay, I wish they were closer to where I live. There’s my complaint!

Mmmmm, needless to say — their coffee is the bomb. I believe most Thursdays between 730−930AM they offer free coffee too! I’ve come here for lunch a few times, but I don’t think the food is all that great. Overall, it’s a great place stop and grab a quick snack, if you are in the area.

Love coming here to get a little work on the weekends. Staff is friendly and they offer variety of hot and cold coffee and tea drinks and well as a self serve drip coffee bar($.50 refills? yes please). Staff is always friendly and willing to offer advice they even will bring your drink or food to you. Have I mentioned their food? Its what puts them above the national chains– they offer fresh made in house quiches, paninis and kolaches along with the traditional coffeehouse pastries. I also love how they offer free internet connection for clients, each receipt has a unique password printed at the bottom.

Aspen Brew is great! The cashier spent a lot of time introducing us to different types of tea, opening some of the tea containers and letting us take in the aroma. I decided to go for the mint tea, and ended up liking it a lot — it seems like it’s a popular favorite of many customers. The cashier also recommended the green tea that had a hint of fruit in it — she said that it was her favorite, and I would love to try it sometime. She was kind and took care of us well. As for the seating areas, there are some comfy chairs and tables in the shop — I thought that it was interesting how the tables and chairs were different shapes and sizes. The wifi network is fast(the Internet password is on the bottom of the receipt), and I will definitely be back to work on a few things on my computer. I love sitting inside, because there are different chairs and tables for people to work in. I’m not sure if there are any large tables for big groups, but you could put tables together for that. I’m really glad that I found a good coffee place for San Antonio. I want to try some of their coffee and other teas, and will post more pictures. There’s also a rewards program — you get a punch card with the drinks; I think you get the 12th drink free.

I still love Aspen’s Brew and I always make it a point to stop by when I am in the area. They offer more than just coffee – they have a decent selection of breakfast pastries to break one’s fast and some options such as soups for lunch. I have to admit, I haven’t tried any of their food, but it looks tasty enough. I do love, love, love that the owner’s often bring their two giant dogs to the«office» all the time. They’re sweet puppies! The reason for this update, however, is that, while I feel Aspen’s Brew is a great place to work on the great American novel, or just pretend like you are, it lacks access to outlets! As we speak I had to go to a Starbucks down the street which serves inferior coffee simply because I didn’t have access to an electrical outlet. This is a fairly damning criticism as many people go to their local coffee shops to work for hours at a time. An easy solution would be to grab some extension cables and strategically place some multi-outlet surge protectors along the baseboards between tables. It would cost the owners maybe $ 50 but would increase customer satisfaction immensely. I also don’t like their newish policy of charging, in advance, a refill fee. Aspen’s Brew has now disallowed afternoon and evening customers the ability to pour their own cups. I understand why such a policy was enacted, but it seems petty to have self serve available for morning(professional?) customers and not for the afternoon/evening(college-kid?) crowd. Seems like a policy targeted at a specific demographic to me which is not cool. If you’re gonna implement such a policy, do it across the board, and not just at specific times, especially since the 18 – 24 crowd seems to make up a large portion of your business. Ameliorate this problem of a dearth of electrical outlets and I’ll remain a loyal customer! For those reasons, I am amending my original review to 3.5 stars. Still a great place to go for a cup of coffee, though it can get crowded and space becomes a premium during peak hours, but the lack of electrical outlets in 2015 is(almost) unacceptable for a coffee shop.

They have personal quiche! ! And also, the best Chai in San Antonio. Seriously. THE best. Great location, central to my home, work, and beer-drinking havens. *Plenty* of parking(located in the same strip as Flying Saucer, Brindles, Pei Wei etc… many parking spots available) Super friendly staff, exceptionally qualified at crafting phenomenal coffee beverages. And Chai. Drink the Chai!

I’m seriously digging this coffee house located in the Medical Center/Huebner Oaks area! Their free wifi game is strong; they provide the wifi password daily on the bottom of your receipt. Really unique and such a smart approach honestly! I love how they offer medium large and Texan sizes. Super fun and damn they are massive! I’m a huge fan of their iced caramel lattes and macchiatos and it’s not because it matches my skin tone. Their coffee drinks are really well made and I love how they bring it to your table. Such a nice touch. If you buy 11 drinks with your AB frequent buyers card then your next one is free. Score! They also offer plenty of food options ranging from panini sandwiches, baked goods, and desserts. The drink and food menu is impressive. I ultimately love the overall feel and has been in my rotation of local coffee spots.

Came here for the first time today. It wasn’t super busy when I went so I didn’t have to wait in line. I just wanted coffee but the desserts looked really tasty. Next time I will definitely try a fluffy tiramisu. While I waited for my Americano, I tried the coffees of the day. I like that they leave sample cups for your to try the different flavors. The vanilla was really nice as was the house blend so I ended up getting a second cup of the French vanilla. I also got a sausage with jalapeño and cheese kolache. Who doesn’t love kolaches? I wasn’t too crazy about the breading or the very, very chewy sausage. The flavor was good though. If you want a real kolache — go to Central Market before 10am. Hands down the best kolaches I’ve ever had in my life. Seating is very comfortable. I like the mismatched chairs. It makes the whole place very cozy(but spacious). I liked how welcoming and warm it felt in general. Compared to Local Coffee and Mildfire, I think I like Aspen the most. I think the coffee tastes great and the service even better. When my coffee was ready, the barista found me(I was just standing around), said my name like we were friends and warmed me the Americano was really hot. It was a nice personal touch. I’m kind of particular about my Americano and I think most places make it so that there is a terrible sour aftertaste. But not here. Would highly recommend this wonderful place for coffee. I’m definitely coming back to try those desserts!

This is such a quaint coffee shop. Inside, they have plenty of seating, ranging from tables to couches to really comfortable sofa-seats. The shop also has a lot of natural lighting, which I really enjoy for studying, and a really friendly staff. Furthermore, their drinks and food are pretty great. I’ve been twice now, and have gotten to sample their white chocolate mocha, iced coffee, and Mediterranean panini. The mocha was really delicious, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Not sure if it’s an option, but I definitely want to try and get it again with half sugar. Their iced coffee was really fragrant and hit just the right spot for my caffeine level(not too strong that I’m jittery, but not too weak that I’m still a little tired). As for the panini, I loved it! I think it has to do with whatever magical bread they use because it is delicious. Overall, I had a great experience and plan to be a regular.
