customer service can sometime be a little impersonal. Very clean and has a very well stocked store. Parking is a little cramped as this is a very popular and nice area to shop in San Antonio.

so much to see and you can get in trouble if you try to do all the projects you hope to do. fairly organized for a michaels. no one to help you so you have to find what you are looking for.

I shopped Michael’s for years. I have never seen a poorly trained staff. The Manager on duty was avoiding to come up to talk to me about my concern on returns. Next time I’ll go to the Michael’s at Northwoods because they have better service and are friendlier.

Make it, don’t buy it! The things they charge most for are things you can do at home, and ironically, what their store sells the most! Now, the Fiesta wreaths were 75% off and that was a great deal(down from $ 29.95 to $ 9). This Michaels is a bit smaller, but has a decent layout. I went this day for two pocket folders, heavy printer paper, curly ribbon, stickers, and glitter. They had stickers and glitter. I mean, really? No printer paper or curly ribbon at a Michaels? TIP: Visit their site before you head out and have coupons sent via text to your phone. On average you can save 40%!

They have the worst return policy. We had a friend purchase an item for us. We decided to return the item for a refund or store credit. They refused either option and said the credit would need to go back to the original credit card. We even had the original receipt. This is such a poor experience.

I will NEVER shop at this Michaels again! RUDE associates a d TERRIBLE customer service! Would not honor their own coupon texted to me at the cash register! More interested in their blank lazy stares than any sort of customer service. Left a basket full of stuff over the principle of horrific customer service! Would pay more at a further location than give them my business. They obviously don’t want it.

I agree with the folks who reviewed the framing department here. I came to ask about having a mirror custom framed and the advice I received was excellent. The customer service was outstanding. I later went back to another Michael’s store closer to my home to ask more questions and they didn’t seem as knowledgeable. I actually ended up finding a mirror I liked that is already framed and so I don’t need to have anything custom framed after all. But If I were to do any custom framing, this is the Michael’s I would come back to.

This is a rating for the Framing Department. I have been using Michael’s for years to frame art, maps, photos, etc. while living in numerous cities and this store can’t be beat. Not only is their workmanship top-notch, but their service is exceptional. A recent mishap with a frame order proved just how much they care about their customers. Eppi stepped up, without us asking, and took responsibility and went above and beyond to make the situation right. Her impressive service is the gold standard!

She has been patient, explaining and demonstrating different options, and has also taken time to describe exactly what goes in to framing a piece of art. And, in the process, Marilyn has gone on to inspire me to think about additional, potential framing projects, which I intend to give as gifts. This Michaels is okay, but I think the one at the Quarry is a better stocked store. I often go here when I am at the Rim or LaCantera to buy crafting supplies that I do not need. I find that Michaels has lower prices than JoAnn, so I do frequent Michaels more. I do love the coupons and they help me take home more Martha Stewart stuff to spend time doing crafts rather than work.

They offer 10% off to educators. There are so many things to look at and they always have sales. I never go without the coupon from the Sunday’s newspaper. I was a bit disappointed today though with the customer service. There were 2 cashiers and about 5 people in each lane with full baskets. It took about 15 minutes to check out. There were 3 other employees in the front as well doing returns. I thought, «any minute there gonna see the long lines and jump on a register,» but sadly that wasn’t the case. I’m just glad I found what I was looking for and I wasn’t in a rush to go home.

This is the Michael’s that I frequent at least once a month. They tend to have a good selection on most things, and the people working the registers are always super nice and helpful.
