A great divey craft beer bar. Great selection of Texas craft beers served up by friendly knowledgeable owners. You are welcome to bring in food and Beto’s, across the street, delivers. And a Ms. Pac Man machine! If it gets loud inside you’re getting old… but there is plenty of outdoor seating as well.

Great bar. The beer was delicious, the owners were friendly, the dog was precious and the bathrooms were clean. We will definitely come back on our next San Antonio trip.

Great place to try out the Craft Beers, they have a really good selection of Texas Beers. Both the inside and patio are fantastic to have a drink after work. The restaurant next door has live music playing, so that be pro and con depends on whether you feel like talking to the person(s) you there with or not Parking can be daunting though

My favorite bar in San Antonio. The staff is great at helping choose different beers even those who aren’t big craft beer drinkers. They always make sure to have a wide variety on tap and in the fridge. There is not the normal snobby attitude like many craft beer bars and they always make you feel welcome.

The owners and their family run this place. They are always friendly, it’s rarely too crowded, and they always have good and unique beer on tap and in bottles. Prices are not too high, and there is usually a food truck or two in the lot.

This is my go to place for craft beer on tap. The feel is a local beer hangout and the staff and the other customers are friendly, talkative and most of the talk is about beer. Yes there are places with more taps that include some not so crafty beers or the staff is not as engaging as they are about how much they push across the bar… Try it a few times and see. I can be found there most Thursdays if you want to talk to me about it.

Wednesday night and the place is pretty much empty, but the beer is worthy. Would that they had at least one tap over 8.5ABV, but their taps rotate regularly. Cody, the bar keep, has good knowledge of their wares. The taco truck out front was the absolute bomb — and this is a guy on a good company expense account. But no vittles from the place. Strong recommendation from a guy who always eats and drinks local.

This was a fun little bar with fun music! At the time we went, it was around 4:30/5pm on a Friday evening during Fiesta. We specifically came to escape the crowds! The bartender was chill and friendly. They had great options of beer and cider.

This is a great little bar. My only wish is that it was closer to my house, because I want to be a regular. We came on a Friday evening around 4:30 or 5, and it was dead. Of course, this was during Fiesta, so I’m guessing that had something to do with it. Either way, it was nice to have the place to ourselves and enjoy our beer. They had great choices on tap, and we ended up getting a delicious choice for $ 3! I think it was even cheaper due to happy hour. Sweet! The bartender was friendly and chill. He even let us sample our beer before committing to a pint, and the sample came in the cutest of tiny mugs. The bar is pretty small, but that’s part of the charm. I can’t wait to go back!

I’m a big fan of this beer place! This is a craft beer place where you can get your growlers filled with yummy craft beers! They really know their beers, and can make recommendations on what to try based upon your preferences. They knew a lot of technical details regarding the beers that they offer and were quite passionate about their beers. I like that they support the local guys, and have many of the local breweries represented. The offer bottles as well as draft beer. You can comb through the cooler at your leisure over to the right of the bar. I enjoy the fact that they offer games to play, so it’s a fun way to spend some time with some friends. They’ve got some dice and card games, as well as foosball and pool. Game on! The beer prices are rather reasonable, with a lot more cheaper options than their competition down the street. However, it’s not as cheap as Mad Marlin, next door, but there you’re drinking Lone Star. The décor is puro San Antonio — with photos of all the various Missions across the city. It feels much more relaxing than whatever was in here before. I recommend that you get in here and check this place out!

I’ve been a regular at Missions Untapped(@MissionsUntapp) since they opened. This is a craft beer bar on Broadway, where Revolution Room used to be. They always have some sort of event going on. Thurs is pint night. $ 4 for a pint of ANY of the beers on tap. They’ll have live music on weekends, tap takeovers with breweries, food trucks out front, etc… They have 13 taps right now, which means the traps are rotating a lot. They keep a nice variety of styles on tap at all times. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They focus more on sitting at the bar having a pint, or 2, but they also have growlers so you can get your beer to go. They will fill any growler too, no matter where it is from. Keep an eye on their Twitter and FB page to see about upcoming events, new tappings and more. Cheers!

Missions Untapped keeps getting better with each passing month! Their new website is the best improvement yet — it’s updated in real time, and gives you a perfect snapshot of not only what’s currently flowing from their taps and available in the Bottles-To-Go cooler(from which you can grab, among other wonders, a Bundaberg Ginger Beer… deeelish!!), but also(and I *love* this bit) a list of On Deck/Coming Soon bevvies. They’ve added a fairly steady flow of music, specials, tap takeovers, and events, as well as a superfun shelf of board games. Great spot for game day or date night!

Found this little gem when I was trying to go to Flynns next door. $ 2 Beers on special, several tvs to watch the game, and an overall great vibe. This is craft beer bar I’ve been looking for in San Antonio.

A great new neighborhood spot for grabbing a cold pint of a Texas craft beer to enjoy or to get a growler filled up to take home. In addition to indoor seating there is a nice patio to sit on and enjoy your beverage outside. They have special nights with tap takeovers so be sure to keep a lookout for those. On those nights they have live music.

Great place for craft beer. Different place. Not the same old scenery. They take great care of their customers. And are willing to educate those who are not craft beer drinkers. Ladies night in full effect. Pet and family friendly.

Another growler station for San Antonio, this one with all Texas taps. Just down the street from Big Hops, it has a much different feel, more of a neighborhood bar and less of a hipster hangout. Tonight they were getting ready for a New Braunfels Brewing tap takeover and most of the taps were from New Braunfels. I love seeing that(even though I work a block from New Braunfels Company and was looking for something different). We just stopped by to grab a growler but we will be back. It’s definitely a good place to sit back and enjoy a cold one.

Read about this place in the 6÷25−7÷1 Current, so wanted to give it a try. It was so hyped up, we were looking forward to trying it out after a long day of flying in from out of state. With article in hand, we were able to find it fairly easily(though it was easy because we had familiarity with the area … We didn’t see any readily discernible signage). With great anticipation, we pulled into the parking lot … Only to find it closed … At 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, the day after their grand opening. Disappointed to say the least. May give it another try …

These guys are just starting out and have a great concept! Growlers, make your own 6-pack to take home and beer from local breweries! Rock on guys!

In one of my last reviews concerning the growler method of scoring beer I said that that market is becoming a bit inundated as of late. Well, maybe I might be a bit wrong. Let it be noted that from time to time even I can change my mind. Missions Untapped, a new growler/pint hangout has made me rethink that notion. It is located a few stones away from another great place, The Big Hops Growler on Broadway Street. It is wedged between businesses, one of them Flynn’s. There appears to be ample parking and an outside patio that serves as a gateway for the entrance. Inside it has a very friendly and welcoming vibe. The walls are made of wood, and cool antique pictures of the city surround it. There are also wooden tables to accommodate couples and bigger parties. I like the way the room opens up and I suspect when this place is booming the patrons will appreciate this. As far as the beer selection is concerned they have a good selection on tap. There is an emphasis on Texas Breweries: Adelbert, Karbach, Southern Star, Perdernales, No Label, New Braunsfels, Busted Sandal etc. This is my segway into the service rendered here. Simply put, it is great. The bartenders greeted me, offered me to try samples of taps and even explained how their growler system works. As I have stated, until I am a Unilocaler no more, the service you give will either bring patrons back or draw them away. Here the first seems true. The bartenders acknowledge you are there. They talk to you and genuinely seem to care you are there. For example one of them brought a bowl of Goldfish cracker snacks to the table, a humble and thoughtful gesture. This certainly was not lost on me. The prices for beers here is quite reasonable, I might add. When you buy a growler you get a card that enables you to get a free fill of the beer of your choice(don’t quote me on that though, this might be a promotional offer). I know this place is in its infancy, but I know in time it will be teeming with new customers, including me. In my opinion I think they should focus on Texas beers exclusively with a nod to the San Antonio ones, that also seems to be growing at a rapid pace. All and all I like Missions Untapped. It has ample room for friends or a date to partake in the fine art of beer drinking. The service is excellent, there is a friendly vibe and the price is right, as far as their beers are concerned. I think that the growler market here will be just fine as long as the beer cascades alongside the good times.
