Not only did they have the crib bedding I fell in love with in stock but the guard rail that came with it could be custom ordered. Which was thoughtful. She brought me an alternative which was honestly the one I wanted from the get go! She was extremely helpful looking info up online such as customized car seat cover ups but applied an available 10% off coupon code. I definitely will be back :)

I was a customer of this shop for a good two years — not their«bread and butter», but I definitely wasn’t one of the people who’s only there when they had sales. Today, however, was my final visit. The sales staff have never been rude in my experiences — this seems to be a theme in earlier reviews but I can say that I never experienced it. The owner, however, is another story entirely. And I’ve heard quite a few other women comment on her in the past. While discussing style differences and admitting that, being from Chicago, have a more plain, less frilly style but that the clothes they had were very cute, she looked me in the eye and said, «Well, you people up in Chicago like to keep your kids in bubbles. I mean, come on, they made crib bumpers illegal!» Okay, first off, let’s just address the fact that while I get that she’s the owner and can’t be fired, the first rule of customer service is pretty much to NOT be a jerk to the customer, even when you disagree with them. Actually, ESPECIALLY when you don’t agree with them. Telling me that all of the people in the third largest city in the country(and my hometown) are essentially helicopter parents when my guess is that you’ve never lived there and don’t know anyone is pretty uncalled for. It only shows ignorance and snobbery. Second, there’s a really good reason why Chicago, and many intelligent cities in the world, have banned traditional crib bumpers… because the American Academy of Pediatrics has been VERY vocal in the very real dangers of infant suffocation due to using them. But then again, I guess when half of your business is based off of selling wealthy new moms $ 3000 crib bedding you’re going to be an advocate of them. What this tells me is that she’s more interested in the almighty dollar than the safety of infants. By the way, ladies — your pediatrician will tell you not to use that bumper, and the fancy pillow, and the quilt. Save yourself the time and $$$, go to Target and buy a couple of cute crib sheets and a breathable bumper. Total — about $ 50. Because you’re not going to use any of the other stuff. But I digress. When the owner of any shop is this naïve, greedy, and outwardly rude I will be sure to tell everyone I know… and I not only live in a very affluent neighborhood where a lot of women respect my opinion, but I have a really big mouth and I love to share stories. Bottom line: Find another shop. The owner is laughing all the way to the bank and doesn’t give a hoot about you or your children. For anyone interested in a recent article regarding what nearly ALL pediatricians have to say regarding crib bedding, here’s a great place to start. Whether you read it or not, please always defer to your pediatrician’s recommendations on the topic, as they don’t have a financial and personal stake in the business of selling proven potentially life threatening items.

This is the ultimate stop for everything baby in San Antonio. If you’re newly pregnant and don’t know where to start, go here first to get inspired. There is an amazing selection of décor, clothes, and gifts. At every baby shower I’m invited to I always end of having the most unique and chic gift. The customer service is also awesome, they’re always so sweet and helpful and you can tell they truly know their products. Plus, they have monogramming so you can really personalize what you buy. When I have kids I can’t wait to get everything from here :)

Prices are sky high – there are many other nearby retailers offering the same products for substantially less. Also, normally at «couture» stores such as this one, the customer service would be impeccable(since that’s essentially what you’re paying extra for). Not so. I asked to speak to the manager over a questionable«no return» policy, something that is not disclosed to the buyer until after purchase(exchanges or store credit, only – go figure)! I was told she was«out to lunch». The other employees just seemed indifferent and didn’t offer much help.

I’ve been eyeing this boutique ever since I found out I was pregnant. After my ultrasound I was super-psyched to check out the store, since I found out my baby was a little girl. wa wa wa… not impressed. I found the girls’ outfits and accessories pretty tacky for the most part. Too much glitter and sparkles and tutus. And those headbands with the HUGE flowers on them. Gah! I’m not saying I’m planning on dressing my baby girl in tomboy ugly stuff, but sheesh… I feel like Teresa from the Real Housewives of New Jersey would be the type of shopper who digs this place. We did pick up some cute onesies with little sayings on them, but really, I expected more. Also, not impressed with the sales staff, who didn’t even greet my husband and I the entire time we spent in the store. Not a fan.

It seems like everyone in my life is in baby mode at the moment. I came to this spot with a friend who is expecting and was amazed at all of the adorable baby items. If you, like me, LOVE anything and everything with sparkles and glitz then this is the spot for you. They have baby items that look customized and impractical. Unless you have the perfect little clean and tidy prince or princess the clothing might be better suited for photos or a tea outing with mom. Imagine a baby outfit with a halter style top in zebra print and the bottom is a black and hot pink floral print with a chunky black ribbon. Now add a big black bow to that ribbon and a gem in the middle of the bow and this is one cute outfit! To top this already adorable outfit off they have the matching bow for the head! I’m imagining dressing the kids I don’t have in these adorable outfits till I look at the price. The outfit for a 2 month old is $ 68 and the hair bow is another $ 10. While the clothing might be the cutest I have ever seen I just can’t see how I could spend that much on 1 outfit. Another quick note… I was not overly impressed with the sales staff. I didn’t find them helpful or very concerned about the customers in the shop. As a matter of fact, while I was checking out the sales gal got a phone call on her cell phone which she answered(Seriously???). She then called another gal from the back and had her check me out. The original sales gal then informed me that it was her birthday and her aunt was bringing her a gift. No big deal… I know a gals got to get her gifts when she can but considering I was not helped while shopping the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth considering you a shelling out big bucks for the clothing.

If you don’t want Suri or Apple to have anything on your little tyke, Nursery Couture is for you. This store has everything from circular, canopied cribs to embroidered diaper bags. With a price to match the couture title, you won’t find discount items here. But, then again, your little Pilot Inspektor deserves nothing less than high-end baby loot. So, if you are expecting(and expecting your future child to be a big-name celebrity) or looking for the perfect present for the baby who has everything, stop here. With burp rags starting at $ 16, you’ll be starting out the baby in your life with high expectations. After all, you didn’t name her Zuma to become an elementary school teacher, right?
