Picture the perfect cheesesteak. Now double it. No, seriously. This cheesesteak is good enough all by itself to start or end any given religion. You’ll never be the same. And you’ll laugh looking back at the life you used to live before these cheesesteaks.

The cheesesteak game is strong with this one!!! Seriously, I’ve tried NUMEROUS times to replicate Malik’s bad ass sandwiches at home, but obviously with no luck. Even their fries are off the chain delicious! Definite score with fans of frites. My one and only teensy weensy gripe would be their prices. My BF and I ordered two large sandwiches(no fries, no drink, no extras) for $ 25.98 which isn’t tremendously horrible, but it certainly isn’t inexpensive. Either way, I completely forget about the price the moment I take that first meaty, cheesy, mushroomy bite. Heaven on a freakin’ hoagie y’all!

Best French fries I have had in a very long time. Cheese steak was perfect!!! Seriously though, if you are a French fry aficionado you are missing out.

Wow, so much meat! I had the Malik, it was delicious and had enough meat for at least 2 more sandwiches. What a treat! Super friendly, super delicious and super price! There were 4 people in my party and every single one of them raved about the taste and about how juicy the sandwich was.

Malik’s came by to our work today. I had heard about the food truck before so I wanted to give it a try. It was reallllllly good! I got the hoagie which was a little messy and soggy but not too bad. The fries are pretty good too! Will definitely have them again if they come back!

I can’t give it five stars. They came to an event at our office completely unprepared to deal with the volume of orders. It’s lunch time folks! An hour wait, errors on orders, timing, etc. Not good. Now the good. Fantastic cheesesteak! Very authentic, just like you would get in Philly. It’s rare to find something so authentic outside the city of Brotherly Love. Even if I have to wait, I’ll probably be back.

Very good cheesesteaks and great fries! The cheesesteaks had a great flavor, lots of mushrooms and onions. Wish it had more peppers, but still great flavor. The fries had salt and pepper. who knew I’d love pepper in my fries so much?! Yum! Nice find.

Philly’s so good I consider eating the wrapping paper after I’ve licked it clean! Not even joking, I had to stop myself from eating the paper last time because I remembered how bad I felt after I ate the paper the time before! Seriously, the best phillies in town! You must get the bacon ranch fries, it’s worth the 7.50TRUSTME! There’s like a pound of bacon, tons of ranch and they are drowning in cheese! The sandwich could be wrapped in a dirty sock and I’d still eat it!

Fantastic! A bit on the salty side… but really good stuff overall. I usually order the large Malik — which comes with a generous portion of meat, peppers, onions, & cheese. And of course, ya gotta have fries with that. So I’d also add a regular order of fries — which comes out hot & crispy with a good amount of black pepper and salt… yummmmm! Hubby likes bacon & cheese on his fries. Food is fantastic & I wish these guys were stationary. But alas, they operate out of a truck and are constantly on the move. Sometimes my cravings get really bad and I need a fix. But, they are at a private event or clear across town… womp womp :/ Having to eat in the car is a another drawback. But, I’ve learned to carry a lap/breakfast tray in my SUV for food emergencies(that’s normal, right?). Pop the trunk… hop in the back… got my food… got my Big Red… got extra napkins… got wet wipes for after… good to go! :)

Every time I visit San Antonio I have to get a cheesesteak from these cheesesteak geniuses or my trip is completely pointless. The Malik is absolutely delicious as are the pizza fries, customer service is amazing, and I’m drooling just thinking about it. Please open a truck in LA and stay parked outside my house I’d greatly appreciate it.

This truck makes legit loaded cheesesteaks Philly style. The rolls are IMPORTED from Philadelphia come on! You get a lot of sandwich for your money. Get the pizza steak that’s my fav!!!

Words cannot describe my love for these sandwiches!!! Whenever my wife and I go to the block or anyplace that has food trucks, if Maliks Philly Truck is there? It is game over for me! These cheesesteaks are the f — ing S – t! The 1500 plus calories I’m consuming are worth every damn bite! The Malik with double the meat and all the toppings is delicious and if you prefer chicken, they got you covered as well! The fries are delicious and I have always received great service. The only negative is when the line gets too long and I patiently wait for my sandwich. LOL. I’ve never been to Philadelphia and had the«real deal» but in my opinion it can’t be much better than what these guys with philly roots have cooking. Try it, it is well worth the calories!

Horrible customer service, but I went for the food. With that being said I got what I expected, it’s very delicious. Not to pricey but at the same time very good quality. I wish they’d focus on customer service. Great place, when I went and the service was bad, the corner store wasn’t even being ran by them! So even though I haven’t gone since then, need to change the review. The food is amazing and it’s 2 am and I’m just thinking about it lol good job!

I love the food but the customer service is pretty nonexistent. I drove all the way from new braunfels to bandera rd a 45 minute drive because their Twitter said the food truck would be open from 11−9pm when I got there at 8:15 they ignored me until I knocked on the window and were like nope we closed at 8. I tweeted them and didn’t even get a «sorry for ya bad luck» won’t eat their again. Oh but I did get a snotty we have been here all day from the food truck employee. Update* They apologized today and there food is really good so I’m adjusting this rating. I have never had a bad experience from them but I guess in the future check their website or Facebook when your curious about times and locations

My cheesesteak was amazingly delicious!!! It had the right amount of meat, onions, mushrooms and green peppers. I wish the cheese was spread throughout the sandwich but it seemed to be at the fold of the bread. The flavor of the meat was good and the bread was nice and soft. My only complaint is the price. I got a large which was a 12 inch and it cost $ 13.00 pretty pricey for a cheesesteak. I also ordered some cheese fries which somewhat tasted like Wingstop without the sugar but still good nonetheless. Total bill $ 18.38. Would I go back??? Absolutely! Nothing wrong with splurging sometimes.

Absolutely hands down one of, if not the most, outstanding meal I’ve had sense I’ve moved to Texas 5 years ago. The reviews here do not lie as I must say this food truck definitely has the best San Antonio, Texas has to offer. I have moved around a lot and never have I had a better Philly, or simply a better sandwich. I treated my friends to it and we got a bacon ranch and a Malik as well as some pizza fries … excellent just Excellent!!! That Malik philly is truly unbelievably great, a guaranteed food-gasm for sure, so if you’re intending to try them and can’t decide because quite frankly they all look like heaven in sandwich form, I must insist getting that one. Malik’s is a wonderful nugget in this ever growing foodtruck industry and I am certain to frequent them and tell others to as well… Omgosh absolutely wonderful!

All I know is if I ever go to Philadelphia, their cheese steak better come correct or the city will get a side eye. This is one of the best anything I have ever tasted. The meat was so tender and juicy, the cheese steak was not over powered by a ridiculous amount of cheese, seasoned to perfection. It was like a miracle in my mouth. Had I died mid bite, I think I might have died with a look of pure bliss. I had half of a Malik and half Bacon Ranch. Both delicious, but the Malik is where its at. Worth the wait and the drive.

Absolutely delicious! I had the Philadelphian and it was soooooooooooooo good!!! I would’ve taken a picture but I started eating it before I thought about it. Lol. I would have wanted more white cheese across the top though. It seemed all the cheese was cooked down with he meat and toppings. However, the taste was definitely there! I wasn’t a fan of the Italian ice though… it wasn’t a smooth consistency throughout. It was smooth and then there were large chunks of hard ice pieces. It was ok. I will definitely be back! ;-)

Found these guys on o’connor and wurbach. At 12:00 noon they already had a line going. I order 2 regular original Phillies with mushrooms. After 15 min my order was handed to me. They were excellent!!! Like any food u get Togo the bread lost some it’s integrity but still solid.

This review is more of a 3.5 but I can’t do half stars. To start, the rolls are on point. I don’t know if they are Amorosso’s or you get them shipped from Philly, but they are the biggest part of the equation. If you get them local, then you are overpricing your sandwiches for the following reason: You are using frozen slab steak. I got a cheesesteak at the Spurs game from the truck. I get that it was busy and you were swamped, but slab meat is no good. You chop it way too thin and it is left with no texture, not to mention the grease factor. I know a cheesesteak will have some grease, but it was swimming in it. We are in Texas, the beef capitol of the world… get some ribeye or fresh anything. For $ 10+ I paid, there needs to be higher quality. They don’t even cost that much in Philadelphia. Next, the seasoning. I only had the original steak with American cheese, but you killed it with too much black pepper and it was on the saltier side. I love black pepper but it overpowered the meat, but then again it was frozen slab so I can understand why. I used to think back in Philly that cheesesteaks could have the same adage of pizza applied to it; even if its not that good, its still pretty good. I love Texas but the pizza and cheesesteaks are the only food I miss. Long story short, use a higher quality of meat. You have the roll, the cheeses aren’t a problem, but your meat sucks. If not, I will be forced to start a competing business that brings in the real thing. Or I would be available as a consultant/meat manager right away. Do the right thing.
