Great chicken finger biscuit for breakfast, but about half the size of a biscuit anywhere else. The sauce was good but $ 7 for a half of a biscuit and three mini hash browns is excessive even for an airport.

The foods good. I had the box meal, 4 fingers, slaw, fries, Texas toast and a drink. $ 9. Not bad, they were out of toast so they gave me 2 extra pieces of chicken. Tasted good and was relatively filling. I’ll come back.

Since my home base is ATL, I am probably more spoiled than some others when it comes to airport food options. Waiting at the airport in San Antonio, I almost hyperventilated because the choices appeared pretty dismal for me and my belly was a-grumbling for lunch. I checked Unilocal and seeing the 4-star average rating, I figured that Raising Cane’s had to be at least halfway decent so I made my way over and waited in a short line. Service was pretty swift, as a traveler should expect when pressed for time to catch a connecting flight. Prices are typical of what you would pay for fast food in any airport(read: more than you would pay outside but just be thankful you have something to fill your crying stomach with) and I got my styrofoam box within minutes. The chicken fingers were hot and crispy in a good way, but nothing to truly write home about. And I know, this is just another fried chicken chain and I had my expectations pretty set before diving into my meal. I am not a huge fan of crinkle fries, which is what gets served up here, which may be a reason why I wasn’t entirely in love with the experience. The Texas toast and cole slaw were standard but yummy accompaniments for my chicken strips and I dipped my bird into the sauce, which reminded me of the one from Guthrie’s or Zaxby’s. Anyway, you can actually go really wrong with deep-fried foods but you probably won’t if you pick up some chicken and fries from Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in SAT.

If you haven’t tried this place yet — you should! I was immediately greeted by the nicest fast food worker that I have ever met — she made me instantly happy — and that is a rarity, especially in airports. She was a hard and courteous worker and I appreciated that level of service! This place has a location right by Boston University so I was familiar with the menu, quickly ordered and waited patiently for my meal to be up. Not fast, but worth the wait. What I really like about this food is that it always come out hot and fresh and this location didn’t disappoint. Not the healthiest food, but it is just too good to pass on! The fries were ok, but the chicken was fantastic! There are not many options at the San Antonio airport, but they are lucky to have this place!

Really tasty chicken fingers!!! I was pleasantly surprised, especially since Cane’s is a chain. I was in the San Antonio area for a business trip, and I had an extra hour to spare at the SAT airport waiting for my flight. There really aren’t too many food options at SAT(the airport is pretty small). I looked around, and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers was the only one that had a line… and you know where there’s a line, there’s a reason for it! I was pleasantly surprised, and I don’t think I’ve ever had chicken fingers that tasted this delicious! I definitely had to wait more than a few minutes for my food, but it was well worth the wait. My food(«The Box» combo) came out piping hot. I took off a star because the service really sucked. The guy taking my order didn’t even say hi or thank you, and barely made eye contact with me or any of the customers.

I am not even a huge fan of chicken fingers although fried bone in chicken is my all time favorite food. Canes is changing my mind very quickly with their hot, fresh and tasty chicken fingers. No sauce. Since moving to Baton Rouge I stop in maybe once a month but in the airport here I passed on many other places to grab a 3 finger. Same quality, you may have to wait a few minutes but it is worth it. Fries hot and lightly salted. Fingers fresh, hot, tender and seasoned right. Reminds me a bit of the Chick Fila sandwich flavor wise. Grab some Canes before you board the plane and kill off those hunger pangs. Too bad they don’t expand to wangs, no worries folks just do your thang!

The chicken at Raising Cane’s is quite tasty as far as chain fast food goes. The fingers are the way to go, either by themselves, on a sandwich or to top a salad. As far as this specific location is concerned, it is mostly consistent with all others: fast, pretty good food and mediocre service. The SAT airport doesn’t offer much by way of food so if you’re looking for a bite on a layover I recommend chicken… Or Gloria’s right next to it(check my other reviews).

I’ve had Cane’s chicken multiple times and I have to say that I’m not super impressed. I have friends that are obsessed with this chain and I’m not quite sure why. Chicken fingers are ok and I know it’s all about the sauce. And, I have to say that the sauce is just okay. Food here is quick and a great option since majority of the customers are in a huge hurry.

Bottom Line: The best airport chicken you’ll ever eat, friendly employees and lots of carbs. During a layover in SAT I was craving some protein. A Unilocal search revealed the wonders of Raising Cane’s so I had to give it a try. Like other Unilocalers have noted, the service here is friendly and the chicken is awesome. I ordered a chicken finger meal and you could tell that the chicken fingers were lightly breaded and freshly fried. Raising Cane’s is definitely serving some high quality bird. Also, whereas many airport eatery employees are apathetic, the employees here were smiling and engaged. My meal also came with fries, texas toast and coleslaw. The coleslaw was good, the fries were meh and the Texas Toast was buttery but I only took a few bites to avoid a carbo como en route to San Diego. If I have another layover in SAT, look for me at Raising Cane’s.

Chicken seems fresh. However, i have to take a star off for not having BBQ sauce; included is their«special sauce» which is not too special for me. If you like me, who just want simple BBQ sauce with my chicken, go elsewhere.

Starving for something before a long flight and with plenty of choices, I tried this. 3 chicken fingers, fries and cookies for $ 10. Secret sauce was ok, nothing special. Wish I could have opted for something else, though. The chicken was flavorful, fries had a good crunch. Cookies were delish.

Chicken strips were great. Sauce was awesome. Texas toast was great. Fries were ok. The kid working there was super enthusiastic, which made the experience even better.

What the actual ^#$& is wrong with the world. I don’t know, but I do know what’s wrong with this c list chain: A. That secret sauce they make a big deal out of is just a salty spill of stuff. Garlic, pepper, catsup, worsteshire, and mayo to be precise! Yes I just blew your mind! B. What kind of bass ackward chain didn’t catch on that 2, 3, or 4 fingers in your box sounds sort of pornographic. C. It’s just salty chicken with a salty sauce, and no sauce options. Why do people love this chain. Trivia: this chain is named after the founders dog, because the dog was the only one who would eat it.

Fried chicken that’s juicy and delicious? YES!!! Debated going here or Mexican place next door– after reading mediocre reviews for the Mexican joint, I decided on Canes. What a great choice! Skip the sides and just had chicken… the perfect amount before I had to board another flight.

I picked up some Cane’s before my flight at the airport since I’ve heard several people in San Antonio raving about it. I only bought the chicken fingers and they were kind of small for what I paid. The chicken itself was moist, juicy, tender, and crispy on the outside but the pieces were smaller than what I’m used to. I still think Church’s fried chicken and Golden Chick chicken tenders are on par with Cane’s chicken tenders and they are cheaper too with more options and Church’s has tastier sides. Cane’s is a good option if you are looking for good and relatively affordable SA airport food, but I don’t think it would be my first choice if I had other options since it’s a bit pricier than other chicken places.

Having heard for my nephews about this place from the east coast how good this place was we found one near where we were staying at. I took the boys with me and headed to this place for lunch. Seems like all this place sells is chicken fingers. It is a fast food place and normally do not eat at theses places. We walked up and ordered out food and surprisingly found a table for this place was very crowded. This place looked like it had recently opened and based upon the crowds, I was really wanting to try their chicken. Our order was called and tasted the chicken. It was quite good and not to greasy. The pieces were large and the fries that came with it was good too. Hopefully this place will open in the Austin TX area.
