Rocky’s Tavern

We came here @ around 10 and there is no room to sit and talk. It’s very small bar. I didn’t have time to try on their drinks because we left early. The crowd are nice and the employees are nice too. Be there at around 9 so you can have a table.

Checked out the local watering hole for a home we hope goes through this month. Ricky’s has pool tables, dart boards, at least 10 beers on tap, margaritas, and friendly bartender, Mandy, makes a great Maker’s & Diet Coke.
In addition, Coke was free for our designated driver!!! Not that we got sloshed or even intended to but that’s a great thing for a bar to comp DD drinks.
No smoking inside AND … It smells free of any stale smoke! We came out smelling as good as when we went in! Coming from Lubbock where most bars still allow smoking, and being a recent smoke-​free gal (4 years except some lapses at smoking-​allowed bars), I truly appreciate not coming out smelling like an ashtray.
Overall, clean, friendly, laid back neighborhood bar! The lack of one star was only because I didn’t notice any lounging furniture. Tall seats at the bar and concrete rectangular tables with tall bar chairs. I prefer having my feet on the floor. Also they had free popcorn and peanuts but not sure if they serve food.
I guess I will have to go back to investigate further! :D

Me and my boyfriend came to this place based on the Unilocal reviews and we were not disappointed! Loved the fun upbeat atmosphere, bartenders were quick and very generous, and the pool tables were awesome! The only thing that could have used improvement is the seating! There was too many people with no where to sit down which didn’t matter once the DJ started jumping anyways… If your in the area come here! We are visiting from out of town but will definitely come back here!!! Oh and BATH ROOMS WERE NICE AND CLEAN THE WHOLE NIGHT!!!

Based on the area, Rocky’s is one of the better bars. It’s definitely more of sports bar than anything with several TVs lining the walls and a couple pool tables. The selections for Happy Hour change daily but are always priced well; outside of Happy Hour, the prices are reasonable, plus they offer free self-​serve popcorn. The speed of service varies depending upon time of day and who is working.
Recently, I’ve noticed this place has become more of a biker hangout in the evening; not that this change is bad or good, just something I’ve noticed the last couple visits.

Rodney… our bartender that I found out later was the owner was very accommodating! He made me feel comfortable and made sure I was happy with my beverages! Friendly… OMG I’m in town just for a few days and I’m so glad my friend brought me here! The price is right also! Don’t miss this hidden little treasure!

Rocky’s is cool. It seems to be very popular, but at this time I would be rating it 3 stars because it’s just A-​OK. This is always subject to change of course, and I would like to try coming here again. I tried a really delicious beer on tap called Alaska White. I also tried a holiday beer on tap, can’t remember the name but I definitely won’t get that again. It just seemed a bit crowded and a bit small. You do what you can with the space you’ve got, but they definitely could have had more seating inside. Also, it was freezing! The weather outside was chilly and they had the air conditioning cranked up to arctic blast. Maybe this is a good thing for the summer. Maybe it means that they will have it cranked up to arctic blast when people want it on that when the outside temperature is 100. Anyway I would come back again.
