I have to say out of all the coffee/bakeries I’ve been to Rosella will always be my favorite. To start off the place is just beautiful. It gives off such a good vibe. I love the chalkboards and all the doodles on them & I love that it has a second story loft area. There’s also room outside to sit on a pretty day. The also offer free wifi & have a breakfast and lunch menu.(I still need to check out their breakfast.) Coffee wise this places blows me away. I always get the Chi Tea latte which is my number one favorite latte anywhere. It has a prefect amount of chi flavor to it and the perfect amount of creamy latte flavor to it. I love the big coffee cups they come in too. I’ve also tried about every tea they have there and I can’t tell you which is my favorite. I’ll note I do add sweetener to mine cause I like them pretty sweet. I guarantee if you tea lovers just pick one @ random you will enjoy it. NOWLETMETELLYOUANOUTTHEIRTOASTS. Man oh man… They have three toasts that are just outstanding. An apple and cheddar, a peanut butter banana, & my favorite, the avocado toast. I always get all three when I go(fat ass I know) but I can never decide! All three come on a fluffy(maybe sourdough, I’m not sure) kind of toast. Whatever it is, is delicious. The apple cheddar is a perfect balance of well, Apple and cheddar. The peanut butter banana comes w/honey on it as well. & the avocado toast comes with olive oil, salt and cumin that makes it taste delicious. I recommend this place to anyone that loves coffee and cute coffee shops. Though it is pretty far from me I never hesitate to make a visit. Sitting in traffic is worth it to get my toast and coffee!

Today I had one of those cravings for an avocado toast that Rosella Coffee is known for. I fought traffic, drove more miles than I normally do for an hour lunch, lost my great parking space at work and came to the realization that this trip was not worth it today. The opened face avocado toast still has the same great taste but the avocado is now cut in much smaller slices and does not have the same, «I’ve got to have you» appeal. Look at the snaps I took from other times I have been here. I still love the atmosphere, and the fact that if you wanted to use this restaurant as a work place, they have free Wi-Fi and an open concept that you could surely get away with working here. Do you ever feel when you walk in to an establishment and Whamo, attitude…; you almost want to walk out and walk back in to see if the thickness in the air changes. Today I was waited on by Julie who took my order. Not very helpful, I know she was busy and multi-tasking; she just did not give me the warm and fuzzy feeling… Then I tasted my green Jasmine tea, which I asked for iced. This was over steeped and very bitter; I took it back and let Julie know, that I could not drink the tea because it was so bitter, Me, «what do you recommend?» Julie, «Well, you tell me;» Me, «Well, I know tea very well, and it should not be bitter, so you tell me what you recommend.» Julie, «I can re-steep it» Me, «Okay, let’s try that.» My name was called out and no extra ice was added, and it had the same bitter taste; my choice was to walk it up to the counter a third time or leave it on the table and stay dissatisfied with my entire experience. I left it on the table. Folks, you know I am a foodie at heart and love good food; I look for the SUPREMO package. Places I frequent have to have the service, quantity for the price and the quality. There are so many awesome places to visit in this town; I don’t need to settle for this…

Had the pleasure of stopping here(3 times) during a short weekend trip to San Antonio and kept coming back because it was just too good to pass up, especially on those crisp mornings. The coffee here is great and has a nice robust flavor. They offer a menu for breakfast and lunch with the typical coffee house staples(fruit, english muffins, salads, etc.). I love the way they’ve made the interior feel very open, complete with a second story floor if you want to get further from the crowds. The environment lends itself well to working here. They also have free wi-fi and beer on tap – what’s not to love?

Rating the Eggcloud sandwich by itself would be a 4.5! It was De-Lish. Egg, prosciutto and arugula on an English muffin. The flavor combinations they used were amazing and portion size was great for a light breakfast. The order of waffles was just OK. It was two waffle squares with no accoutrements at all, no fruit or even powdered sugar but it was $ 5 by itself. Ordering a side of eggs or meat would enhance the meal. The person who took my order was what made the experience uncomfortable. She wasn’t friendly or smiling and even though there was nobody behind me in line she stared hard at me and I felt rushed to quickly decide. Didn’t get a smile from the others behind the counter either but maybe it was an off day.

I came here because somebody told me this was a quiet working environment. I was going to be near the area, so normally I don’t make my way out downtown for coffee. It was so loud in here, even with my headphones. I could hear the music vibrations from the ground while I was on the second floor. It was so hard to concentrate. I ordered a latte and though the cup was big, it tasted like hot water with foam… Couldn’t/didn’t want to finish it. The whole 3 hours I was there, nobody checked and cleaned the empty cups and tables around me. Probably won’t be returning.

Rosella Coffee is my third home(after my actual home and school). It is a really spacious area, located right next to a lot of neat places. They have two floors, high ceilings, outdoor seating, and a beautiful patio. One of my favorite things about Rosella is that they have seating for pretty much every situation — next to the outlet, by the huge windows, in a nook, on a couch etc. It’s pretty much the perfect place to go to be productive or to just chat with some friends(although, most people go to to get work done). It’s just the right amount of noise and quiet, especially because they don’t blast their music, and the seating area is open enough that voices don’t carry. If I could design a place to study at, I would have designed Rosella. They have UNLIMITED brew coffee, which tastes nice and rich and has a good kick to it. Their lattes are delicious. They have a huge communal jar of water, so you can just refill it yourself without having to wait on someone. They also have really good relatively healthy snack food. My favorite, by far, is their avocado toast. On Sundays, they also serve really good brunch. Their food can be a bit over-priced, but the unlimited coffee more than makes up for that. Basically, I love everything about Rosella.
