I used to eat here with my grandparents when I was small, was once good. Now service is very slow especially the drive thru. Food is alright, they need to step up their game.

I have been here twice and I have fully enjoyed the food I have had. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful.

I’ve had better, but it is ok. My taco meat was still bloody. Good thing is they brought plenty of chips and salsa, which almost made up for the raw meat tacos with no seasoning. I kept thinking how much I would have preferred Taco Bell’s meat. Can’t win every time, maybe it was a fluke.

Had a carnitas burrito, rice and beans. Burrito was pretty good. End up taking more than half of it home… it was/is big. Rice was ok. Beans needed salt. Overall pretty good.

First things first very clean looking place that’s the first thing I look at when I try a new place. The tortillas I don’t think are home made so that’s the only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars have to have that for true Mexican food in San Antonio but they had the other part, really good beans but over all GOODFOOD!!! Very happy I found a new place and I’ll be back… Try the lemon aid so good!

The chicken fajita quesadilla was the best quesadilla I have ever had! Also tried a bite of the asada burrito, delicious. It’s safe to assume that anything here is amazing. Service was great too!

I love this place, I have been visiting Lackland Air Force Base off and on since 2005. Every time I come here I leave about ten pounds heavier because of this place alone. Breakfast, Awesome! Lunch, Awesome! Dinner, Awesome! If your drunk, eat here, if your sad, eat here, if your happy, eat here, if it’s your anniversary eat here! My favorite is the green enchiladas, the carne asada burrito is a close second, I only get the burrito if I still want to move after eating. I can’t recommend this place enough. Being in the Military I travel all over, when I miss Mexican food, this is the place I miss. If Anthony Bourdain ever comes to San Antonio for a layover show, he needs to come here. Oh…the food is reasonably priced, and great portions. If I could improve this place at all, add queso, I’m a gluten for queso!

Okay folks, this is my favorite place for low cost and reasonable mexican food in a sitdown environment and not fast food. Why? it is clean. I wouldn’t be afraid to use the bathrooms. Enough said. They also have always served warm chips that are fresh, and very generous serving salsa. My favorite dish is usually a «meatless» burrito with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. They understand how to make w/o meat. I usually order a side of rice which is a generous serving. The food tastes really fresh and I can tell that it was just made and served for my enjoyment. I also like the aguas frescas-i.e. fresh lemon drink.

Great authentic Mexican food with good service and good prices. Best tacos, quesadillas, and fajitas I had in my stay in San Antonio. Conveniently located right outside of Lackland AFB.

Pissed because they have a big sign on the window saying they ate open to 10pm. I went there twice at 945pm then 930pm and they were closed. Then take the damn sign off the window!

A very serviceable little taqueria right outside the Valley Hi gate of Lackland AFB. Their daily lunch specials are reasonably priced and consistently good. And the salsa they provide with the basket of chips is some of the best I’ve had. An excellent place for a quick lunch.

The strength of this is the chorizo, cheese, egg, and potato breakfast tacos. I have had nothing«bad» from them but that breakfast taco is one of the first things I get anyone that is «new» to the area. Absolutely fantastic.

The best Mexican food in San Antonio! The carne asada burritos steal the show paired with a bottle of Mexican coke! The meat is tender and warm… top it with some salsa verde & it’s heaven! My kids enjoyed the tacos, omelets and cheese enchiladas. My husband had a burrito. No complaints from anyone! I could literally eat here everyday and never become tired of it,(but then I’d have to run an additional five miles everyday)!

Just off base, great for breakfast. Military everywhere, they know what they are doing. Clean, great breakfast burritos, good coffee, fast service, cheap. Doesn’t get any better than that.

Good food, fast service, and 10% discount to military in uniform. This is one of my favorite lunch spots, right outside Lacklands Valley High gate. For a sit down lunch, very affordable. Usually $ 8 – 9, and it’s only that much because I refuse to leave less than $ 2/tip even on a tiny tab.

Oh man, I don’t know what it was but I ordered a shrimp dish from there annnnnd I probably shouldn’t have eaten it. It had a funk to it, the funk smelled like well, I don’t think I’m allowed to say what it smelled like. And to top it off, it was so bad that the whole table was able to smell it as well. With that being said, it seemed like everyone else’s dish was alright. I think they were just really put off by the smell of my dish. The good points to hit on are that the horchata was good, refreshing and a big cup of it. The chips and salsa as an appetizer were probably the best part of the meal. The service was also really good. They were quick and responsive. Right after I finished my horchata, they brought me a giant water with lemon.

The food was mediocre. The service was about the same. For the price, I’d expect either better taste or better service. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

I am not from Texas. Not even from the south. Prior to moving here, I though Taco Bell was«good» Mexican. It seems that every one of my coworkers who are native to this area have a different idea of what good Mexican or TexMex is so I can never get any consistency with their recommendations. Anyway, this place is very close to where I work so I have been here many times. Honestly, I have not had better, cheaper, Mexican food than this. I have never been disappointed by their meals. The taste is great, the portions large, and they tend to have a fair percentage of Spanish speaking patrons which is always a good sign. I love their Jalisco burrito. Awesome, size and taste. Also, their fajita quesadilla is very delicious. Oh, and their salsa is the bomb! Chips and salsa are free. Not for the faint of heart because it’ll light you up if you aren’t into spicy salsas. The staff has always been kind and courteous, always with a quick word in either English or Spanish. They have lunch specials daily, usually 2 or 3 of them. This is my «regular» lunch spot when I go out for lunch. Love t and WILL be back. PS: I have never found a screw in my food like one person wrote nor any other foreign object and I have eaten here probably 30 times in the past 2.5 years.
