Noticed this shop on the way to get some tea, and figured it would be at least average knick-knacky stuff. Coming from Austin I am used to that kind of thing. This is the kind of place that SHOULD be on South Congress. Or anywhere closer to me, for that matter! Great variety of treasures– standouts to me were vintage pins and rings, unusual Dia de los Muertos crafts(aka not the same thing you see all over), and the incredibly kind and personable owner, Tanya. Apologies if I misspelled that! My charming man bought me a ring, and I also left with an awesome candle that was handmade by the owner. Love this place, and I will be back next visit to San Antonio for sure! You there reading this– go forth and buy things here ASAP!

Such a cool place to stumble upon in Southtown. Owner Tanya is such a genuinely nice person and her shop is a treasure trove of unique, often vintage items. A great place for gifts, jewelry, knick knacks, and more. A lot of Mexican folk art and día de los muertos things, handmade art, and gorgeous rings, earrings, and more! I’ll be becoming a regular customer. Love it!

Cute little shop with lots of things to wear on yourself and put on your walls. The owner greeted me and seemed happy to tell about the area and her business. I didn’t get a chance to browse long enough to pick anything up, but there’s definitely a lot to look through. I don’t know how convenient is this location, but if you can make it out here, I recommend checking out this jewelry box!

Super friendly and super nice owner and lots of cool vintage jewelry and hand made items. Earlier today someone suggested I go to the«mall» to look for a gift. The where? This is the sort of place — and people — that I look for when I visit a new city. Thank you Angie!

this is a great little shop in southtown! like all the previous reviews, the jewelry box offers a plethora of accessories, as well as some vintage finds: i recently found a glassware set(4 in the set) from the fifties that i use in my bathroom to store makeup brushes for $ 20! the owner works with vendors from south america and throughout south texas to bring unique items to the shop: stop by during the week to check out any on the fly sales she might have! i feel like this shop is representative of the true local SA flavor, especially southtown, and i really enjoy my experiences there!

Oh my goodness, I love this store! I have been here many times(used to work across the street) and discovered so many great finds, I can’t believe I haven’t Unilocaled about it! The owner is delightful, friendly, helpful, and completely adorable(just like the store). Will direct you to anything you might possibly need. Selection is fantastically thrifty, unique, and incredibly San Antonian. Need Fiesta jewelry? Found it. Desire Dia de los Muertos anything? It’s here. In search of crazily spectacular handmade Mexican art? Done and done. Like I said, I love this place! Next time you’re in SouthTown make it a point to stop by!

i was recommended by the hyatt regency employee to check out the jewelry box on a walk toward madhatter’s. this was a great idea — this jewelry shop is wonderful. the owner is extremely friendly and does much of the handcrafted work herself. there were so many things i wanted to buy, but only so much room in my suitcase. i had to pass on a beautiful antique whitewashed box with lock & key. you will find vintage pieces, contemporary pieces, handmade crafted or metalsmithed jewelry. there are a range of prices from inexpensive to very expensive, so everyone can get something. i highly recommend a visit here if you are in king william neighborhood.

Stumbled upon this little boutique while on my way to The Jive Refried. I had bookmarked The Jewelry Box as a place to visit while in South-town. I was welcomed by the owner who is so friendly. Not to mention also does some arts & crafts herself. The shop itself is a small boutique yielding tons of upcycled vintage jewelry along with vintage jewelry. She had tons of novelty stuff for Dia de los Muetros and such. Lots of folk mexican religious art too. Prices are reasonable. There is also a small selection of vintage clothing. I have to say that while in Texas I was a little disappointed of the vintage boutiques. Not enough or just boring stuff that didn’t peak my interest. I do think however it’s cool that there are vintage shops for those enthusiast such as myself. This shop is worth a visit.

This is a wonderful Southtown shopping destination! Somehow I’ve missed it or walked right past on previous trips to San Antonio; thank goodness I found it this time. The store owner couldn’t be friendlier. She chatted with me for a long time about her shop, what led her to open it, and the artwork she does for the store.(We also had a long conversation about her husband’s friend who hails from Iowa!) She decoupages everything from bracelets to boots, and hand-paints purses and other items to sell. There were some really terrific handmade items and artwork, many which she had created herself. She also collects vintage items to resell, and this is where the«overwhelmed» feeling comes in. There is so much to see, I must have spent an hour just poking through the store, looking again and again at the same jewelry, and curating my own little collection to take home. The vintage jewelry can be a little pricy, but it’s mixed with a good amount of more inexpensive pieces. Nearly everyone will find something here that fits their budget and tastes, whether it’s vintage clothing, purses, glassware, original artwork, or some really unique jewelry. If you’re lucky, you might even pick up a few découpage tips! This is my new favorite stop for San Antonio shopping. I will definitely be back!

On a really great San Antonio day I decided to walk around Southtown and the Jewelry Box was my first stop. I loved all the Dia de los Muertos artwork around. The store is FILLED with different things. Great vintage bracelets and necklaces sit at the front of the store along with some great art work. Once you walk towards the back you’ll find even more art to look at. The walls are completely packed with different local artwork. There are used clothes lining the walls. The owner said it best when she asked me if I was feeling«overwhelmed» yet. The store is rather small but they’ve definitely utilized as much space as possible. The prices aren’t ridiculous either. I found a really cute ring for cheap. Anywhere else and I would have had to pay a lot more. I will definitely be heading back there soon.

All kinds of funky jewelry and vintage finds at The Jewelry Box. I’ve found a couple of pieces the past couple of years here that get a lot of really great comments from my girlfriends and strangers alike. One of a kind and costume jewelry. Plus quite a few different pieces of art available for sale here. Prices have a wide range so it really depends on what you’re looking for. The owner is really nice and she really took the time to show me what she had to offer.
