Torrid

This is my go to Torrid! Sometimes the selection is not as great as the Ingram location, but I keep coming back because of the great customer service. I wish I could remember her name, I think she is the manager, but that employee helps me out so much every time I go! She knows me by name and is always very friendly, I really appreciate that. You can definitely tell that she loves her job and values her customers! And for that, I keep coming back :)

This is my favorite Torrid in San Antonio. It’s bigger than the 2 others inside malls. Its easily 3 times bigger which means they have alot more items in your size, on sale, and on clearance. They also have alot of stuff in storage in the back. I would definitely ask staff to check to see if they had any more in my size. The staff is very friendly and very helpful.

I am a frequent shopper of Torrid, however lately the service at this location has really gone down hill. Today I went in with a friend to take back a pair of black shorts that were defective. My friend had called the night before and spoke with a store associate that was very nice and told her to bring back for exchange. Well when we got to store they were less than friendly .
They didn’t have her size in stock and so she went to try on a larger size to see if they would work (they didn’t). Anyways while my friend was in the dressing room and an associate (red headed woman) was standing VERY close to fitting rooms and made a comment to another associate that she really didn’t think the damage (rip in pocket) could have been done by a washing machine .
They were basically bashing and calling my friend a liar. We really do have better things to do in our lives than make random returns.
When I got to the counter to return the item officially the manager kept looking item over and was very rude to me. She was also questioning that validity of how they were damaged. Yet again. We finally got them returned but we won’t be going back to this location Because 9 out of 10 times going the service we receive is rude.

:Fantastic Service ! Great selection! Got in the store at 8:30 and they close at 9. Samantha was still friendly and helpful – until we made our decision. We left about 9:15. And yes, we did make a purchase.
I stumbled on this store really by accident. We were on our way to one of the department stores in the same shopping center when we caught the name of the store. It was an interesting name and then we saw the door sign posted size 12 and up. We were sold.
I have gained weight in the past year. Not really in the Women’s sizes that the department stores offer but not quite comfortable in Misses. You ladies know what I am talking about. When you get up in the larger sizes, clothes tend to start looking frumpy.
Yes there are stores like Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart – but they seem to cater to much larger women. I have had such a hard time finding something cute and comfortable since I have picked up some extra weight. I don’t want my apple shape looking frumpy.
Until I can drop these pounds, I still want to look good when I walk out the door.
So Torrid is AWESOME. Cute clothes for work and play. The sales person Samantha told us that it was a sister company of Hot Topic.
If you are like me and want to wear trendy clothing you have to check this store out.
I will be heading back tomorrow – this time much earlier in the day.
