For those that need their hand held and told what the current hipster or fashionable drink is to impress your friends, well this is not the place for you. Specs and the D bag sales people who try to sell you things like they are a used car salesman are where you should go. For those that have a clue what they want in the first place, this is the place to go. They are cheaper then Specs as well. The staff were always friendly when I was there as well as my wife and friends. They also have a massive selection and it isn’t quantity over quality either.

Free wine tasting on Mondays. That’s the extent of the positive of this place. Oh yea and the size of the place, it’s huge. Got a cold vibe from this place. The lady giving the wine samples didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. She was not in the talking mood. When we walked in no one even asked us if we needed help. We still made a purchase but we will not be returning. #twinLiquors

This has become my favorite place to go shopping for the more spirited things in life. I adore Twin Liquors for the four following reasons: Selection, Value, Atmosphere and Service. Selection. My boyfriend and I have been learning a lot about wine lately… and boy do they have an expansive selection! They have it all arranged in a fashion that is easy to understand… they have it set up by wine style(Cab, Zin etc) and by price level, so you don’t end up grabbing a bottle and then flinching when you get tho the register. They also have it set up by region. I am a Texas girl, and I will try to buy local as much a s possible. They have a whole section of Texas wines!!! There is also a nice room filled with high end wines for those of you that have more discriminating tastes and a larger wallet. The liquor selection has all of the old favorites and will introduce you to some new unique brands and flavors. The selection of beer is vast enough to make you curl up on the floor and cry for sheer joy. Twin Liquors carry a wide selection of craft beers from around the world. Value I have not seen anything overpriced at Twin Liquors… the opposite is quite true, the wines are usually quite less than at other places and if you buy six bottles they give you a discount!(most wines apply, there are a few wines in the store that do not fall into the 6+ category but they are clearly marked). Not only that but they have a clearance section that has an ever changing but always fascinating selection. Atmosphere I have a friend who had only been to a liquor store once in her life. It was so dark and scary to her that when I told her that I needed to stop by Twin Liquors she visibly blanched. I started laughing and said«don’t worry… this place is nice». When we walked in her eyes got as big as saucers and a grin plastered itself across her face. I asked her if she felt uncomfortable and she said no way! Twin Liquors has an elegance about it with nice bright lighting but a great homey feel as well Customer Service I am not sure what it says that the people at the liquor store remember me my boyfriend and me… I am going to go with them having great customer service! Robert especially makes sure to come and shake my boyfriend’s hand every time he comes in… then I know it is time for me to wander the store and see what trouble I can get into(which is oh so easy ;-) because those two boys are going to talk beer… Robert knows his stuff and if you allow him to get to know your tastes as well he will give you the best recommendations, be it beer wine or spirits, I trust his choices. He has not led us wrong yet! They also have wine and beer tasting classes that you can sign up for if you want to learn! Twin Liquors gets an ASGOODASITGETS rating from me because they go above and beyond the call of duty, they have a great selection at nice prices all housed in a classy atmosphere… but what truly keeps me coming back is the care that they put into their customer interactions. If you are looking for a good place for beer wine and spirits… you have found it!

Always remember give us good service and we will come back and tell our friends. It is as simple as that. But here, I say no. And one more rule when you are trying to create an atmosphere of being high-end and professional the people that work there must reflect that also. But here I say no! Simply put, in a big store that aims to be just that I did not see any of the above. Here’s the quick rundown: When I went into the store there were ample people manning the sample areas for free booze, but none on the floor to help you. The best example of how to service customers, particularly the drinking kind look to The H.E.B Central Marketplace or Gabriel’s Superstore to see how it’s done. They have at least one employee at all times ready to answer any of your questions. I would expect this at Don’s and Ben’s but not at a place that has faux wooden floors and fancy lighting. On this day I bought beer and yes, this place is mainly dedicated to wine and spirits. However, based on the sheer size of the place their beer section was weak. And while I am not a wine expert I have seen alot of the same items at H.E.B. But let’s get to the service. On this day some of the clerks were getting hit on by customers. While I don’t condone this type of behavior by customers, an employee should never flirt back! Ever! This is highly unprofessional! Especially at a business that is trying to create a boozy-type environment. When this happens this cheapens the experience of the store and that line is breached. I suppose this happens everywhere and is an inevitable consequence of customers who feel they have the right to Mack on anyone attractive. But please, save that banter for when you go clubbing or when your wife or hubby is not around. And then to top it off when I went to have my item rung up the clerk was asking the girl about the whole incident. I felt like I was at an episode of Vanderpump Rules minus the cameras documenting the whole situation. I felt like saying I don’t give a damn about who is trying to hook up with who! Just ring me up and get me the flip out! This is very inappropriate and unprofessional! I would expect this type of behavior at Jack in the Box or Mickey D’s, although they usually share that information as they take their cigarette breaks by the dumpster. Not at a place trying to be high-end, with prices to match. In my humble opinion I say skip this place and go to H.E.B Central Marketplace or Gabriel Superstore for the right stuff!!! Otherwise just go to your local Tiger mart for beverages and the 7-digits. At least the clerk will give you their number on the same napkin you use to get your nachos. Respect. Think globally. Drink locally..
