Super Great! Being a person who cooks and bakes all the time, I am very food picky. This is the first restaurant we have been to that had good food. The pizzas we ordered to go were awesome. I love the crust and crisp veggies!

I came here with a Groupon and the deal was amazing. Altogether, I ended up paying just $ 10 for two salads and a calzone. As I was ordering, I met the owner who was kind and conversational. He guided me as I made my selection. The owner then showed me a map in the back with pins indicating where all of his visitors had come from. The portions were large, everything was fresh and tasty and it was still great the next day, since I took half of it home and refrigerated it. It was nothing fancy, but it is properly priced and I had a great meal.

sooo gooood! coworkers mentioned this place and when they said they were going to order a pie i said, «I’m in!» we got a pepperoni with jalapeño and 1 slice was huge so enough for me. the slice was thin and the sauce was really tasty. will be back.

Unbelievably disappointed. Heard good things, but our pizza arrived extremely late and burnt to a crisp. Never again.

Tried the pizza and garlic knots. Gotta pass on both. Slices were small, over greased and lacking in taste. Knots were missing… garlic. Need more garlic. Folks are very nice.

If you’re in the unfortunate position of being summoned for jury duty and need something to do for lunch, this is a really quick, convenient, and delicious option. The pizza is thin crust and very tasty, and the dining area does have a «New York Pizzeria» feel to it with the exposed brick and close quarters.

Found this place located right around cathedral. Food was awesome. Try the texas pizza. Only issue was staff forgot half our order and we had to keep reminding them. Other then that great food

We found Wiilie B’s pizza by chance. The owner was amazing and very helpful. We ordered the clock size pizza for 10 of us. There was not a piece left when we were done. We had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Fast & friendly! And good pizza! Quiet & out of the tourist traffic, too! Across from courthouse. We had penne with marinara, Greek salad & small pizza with 2 drinks, $ 33 bucks with a tip! Good good, good deal!

Excellent pizza, fresh salad, and fast friendly service. What more could you ask for. Our work team of 6 went and we all ordered different items. No complaints from any of us We will be back soon!

Get the Texas pizza… Pep and jalapeño. It’s amazing! Staff were some of the friendliest I’ve encountered in San Antonio. They stayed open after closing so we could pick up an order we made from the convention center.

We swung by here because of the good reviews and our love for pizza. I have been to many many a pizza place in my time. We had«The White» and were thrilled with it. Excellent dough and even cook. Creative all cheese pizza. On top of that, the service and attention was fantastic. Jeff(or Geoff. Didn’t bother to ask the spelling) the owner was an incredible host who made us feel at home as «Out of Towners». We got great recommendations for our week stay and great service. I would happily go back time and time again.

Ordered slice of pepperoni pizza. Upon eating, they did not seem fresh out of the oven and the dough was too hard to eat. Looked like they baked it the day before.

Pizza reviews are hard for me, as I’m somewhat of a pizza snob who grew up on the East Coast, where there’s a lot of competition in the business and subsequently really good pies. I feel that San Antonio has decent NYC-style pizza, and on average, better pizza than your typical chain restaurant like Domino’s or Pizza Hut. By the same token, SA doesn’t have the best pizza I’ve ever eaten either. But I feel that reviews should make for a fair relative comparison to other pizzas available in town versus in New York(per se). That said, onto the review. I ordered a large 18″ pie from Willy B’s with mushrooms. They gave me a 14″ but charged me for the bigger pizza, so I wasn’t happy about that. I didn’t really make an issue with management, but when I go there again I’ll be sure to confirm my order and pricing in advance. Anyway, just a side note. The pizza itself was good, though not the best NYC-style I’ve had(even in SA). Cheese and sauce were just ok, and where it really fell short was the crust. It didn’t have touches of flour or the texture of crusts I’m familiar with in hand-tossed pizzas. Furthermore, the crust didn’t seem like it was baked thoroughly, having the excess chewiness of Grotto Pizza in DE(which is not entirely bad, but not true NYC-style either). *Sigh* Relatively speaking, Willy B’s is better than most pizza for SA, and I’ll definitely give it another go. If you’re looking for respectable thin crust pizza in the downtown area, check this place out at least once. It might be more to your taste than mine.

New York Style is deceptive. For anyone claiming this phrase, you need to import cheese and sauce from NYC. Dough was not cooked completely making it difficult to fold. Pizza had too much cheese and less sauce. It was ok but not NY style.

Great experience at Willy B’s. We were looking for a place a little quieter after a long day of walking, swimming, and spending a small fortune on Riverwalk dining. We all just really wanted some good pizza close to our hotel(The Westin). Willy B’s was close and we hadn’t ventured far on Commerce in that direction. Situated in a building across from the Courthouse and near the Cathedral is Willy B’s. It is a relatively small pizza place and we went about 4:30 and no one was there. The by the slice pizzas looked like they may have sat for a while, but we were after the 28″ for our hungry group. We got cheese on 1 half and sausage and pepperoni on the other. It is a nice thin New York style pizza. It was seasoned nicely without tasting much else the honest to goodness pizza. Not a heavy sauce or a real tangy pepperoni, some italian seasonings just like I like. The pizza came straight from the oven to our table… well it’s own table it filled! They serve Coca-Cola products on tap so if you want a break from the Pepsi snobs on the Riverwalk you will get it in refillable bliss. The owner treated us kindly and gave us tips for our visit. That night we were able to catch a free art installation on the face of the cathedral thanks to him. Later we may take him up on Gator Country! Since no one else was in the restaurant he handed the remote for the TV to the kids and let them pick. That was awesome for the kids and the grownups enjoyed some time to visit over pizza. These little touches made our experience great! Enjoy the pizza, folks.

I wish there were better options downtown. 2 stars for the taste of the ingredients the crust is very rubbery. –3 stars for the COST! They charge $ 1 per topping. So a cheese pizza runs $ 2.59, about $ 3 w tax. If you add a topping its 97cents. So a slice of pep and cheese runs about $ 3.56 w tax. In my opinion, 4 $ for a slice is alot of dough. Not enough quality for the price when it’s just pizza being re-heated on demand. If you take it to-go they give you the slice on a paperplate. no cool little box like 7 – 11(99cent pizza slice)

This is by far the most amazing pizza place in SA. These guys are the best. Order the 28’s, which is pretty much the largest pizza I’ve had in my life. Ask for it a little crispy, and I hope you have a large car.
