Sad this place has closed, but glad that Bill’s going to get a rest. He was my guitar teacher for years, and was absolutely fantastic – a real musical renaissance man. Fixed instruments, was a bastion of local music education, and you couldn’t ask for a more patient and well-​versed teacher. Bronstein’s is okay, but you couldn’t beat this place for a warm welcome and an interesting selection of books and instruments.
I have to wonder where the local kids are going to get their dinged flutes, manhandled clarinets, and sad trombones sent to now?
Bill, if you read this, I still think of you every time I pick up a guitar or a bass. Best wishes & lots of love.

CLOSED: They and the owner (BIll) retired. Bummer. They were a good source of musical instruments for high school and junior high school students. I guess they go to Bronstein’s Music in South San Francisco now.
