I got my baby’s ears pierced here by the manager in January. I brought my whole family and my wife was scared to death about cleanliness and experience of the piercer. We came here after my wife’s friend recommended Mila, who pierced two of her daughters ears. We were skeptical at first, but after going to the kiosk and asking Mila all of our questions, we decided to bring our 3 month old there. After our concerns, she showed us her piercing tools and showed us how she cleaned them with sanitary wipes. She showed us the container that the earrings come in and explained how everything was sterile and one time use. She went over the cleaning process after the piercing. I was even surprised how she convinced my wife. I thought we were going to to have to wait until Delilah was at least 5 years old. The piercing went really well and our baby has had her piercing in for a month. We came back and thanked Mila for her work. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get their kid’s ears pierced.

I brought my nine year old daughter to Piercing Pagoda @ Tanforan Mall today. A nice young lady named Chance helped us. She was professional, gave us time to choose the perfect earrings and was very reassuring and nice while piercing my daughters ears. We had them done previously at another Chain and ended up having to take the earrings out due to a reaction to the earrings.

No, no, no. I was impulsive and this place was close to work. The first«mistake»(I didn’t realize until I went back for the 2nd mistake) I dealt with the«manager«(she’ll tell you you can only pierce with gold, and adds on warranties, etc. without you knowing. When I asked her to remove the charges I hadn’t approved, she got snarky.). The 2nd time I went I got a Russian? Lady who was just plain incompetent. I should have fled when it took her A LONG time to ring up the earrings. But because I didn’t go with my instinct, I have uneven piercings. Go to a professional!!!

I went here to get my cartilage pierced because I knew that they used guns instead of needles, and did not want to go to Claire’s. I know some people feel uneasy about getting cartilage piercings with a gun, but I wanted it pierced fast, with little to no pain. The woman who pierced it seemed to be the manager and was very nice. Everything was sterile, she cleaned everything in front of me and wore gloves. I was a little afraid but she helped me feel more relaxed. The piercing itself was quick and absolutely pain free, all I felt was pressure. Because I only got one side pierced, I only bought one earring and therefore paid half the price. I also liked the large selection of earrings they offered. The piercing cost for a cartilage is $ 5.00, but just regular lobe piercings are free with the purchase of a pair of earrings. The cleaning solution was also very cheap, under $ 2.00. I’ve had the piercing for about 2 months now and have had no problems so far(knock on wood). I suggest you go here if you’re interested in a lobe or cartilage piercing with a gun.

So I had this idea of getting a earring one day, but in reality the actual action of doing so scared me shitless. I read so many scary blogs and experiences of other people online. But any how due to my paranoia, I put the idea on hold for a while. Until I was once inspired to do so three weeks ago. I clutched my balls and manhood, and faced lady terror. At first i wanted to go to Cold Steel on Haight, but I had no ride. So I decided to go to an alternative, and it turned out to be Piercing Pagoda at Tanforan. The location of this place is hella awkward, because its in the middle of the mall. I didn’t want anyone there to see me shriek in pain. Then again beauty is pain. I arrived at around nine in the evening, and Lisa, who helped me cope with the situation, totally made me feel at peace. I got a small titanium earring embedded with a black jewel, and she was so cool about my cowardice. Lisa gave me advice about how to clean my ear during the healing process. It went really well, and I look forward to get my right ear pierced here.

I currently have 7 piercings in my ears, 5 times it has been done at this Piercing Pagoda. All have been pretty good experiences with the service and the person… except yesterday. I was looking at earrings for my cartilage piercing and the lady kept asking if I chose my earring yet, as if she had nothing better to do and was impatient. She also seemed very spacey cause she charged me for 2 earrings when I only wanted one done. I told her I wanted these small 14k studs, but she ended up putting in a bigger one in the gun and I didn’t even know till she pierced it. I usually leave the place feeling good about my piercings, but I was disappointed and pissed off that she pierced it so closely to the edge and the earring was too big for that area of my ear. An hour late I felt that she put the backing on way too tightly towards the piercing area, so I went back to another lady and asked her to make it looser… which hurt more than the actual piercing. She was much nicer and helpful and I wish she had done it instead. I swear that lady who pierced my ear had no experience in using the gun whatsoever. The earring looked so ugly on my ear that I went back today and got it removed by someone else. This lady was so nice and helpful and answered all my questions. She took it out for free and explained that the other lady shouldn’t have let such a big earring go in the cartilage. I don’t mind guns for lobe piercings, but I think it’s time I move onto the professionals who use needles.

On Saturday 3⁄13 I took my 14 year old daughter to get her ears pierced at the Piercing Pagoda. I was skeptical of going to a place in the middle of a mall but I’m happy to say I was proven wrong. This place is owned by Zales and it seems to exist to sell jewelry store type earrings. Indeed, the earrings were of really nice quality and reasonably priced(if you a looking for cheap, perhaps Claire’s is a better option). They really do have a terrific selection including lots of stuff for various body part piercings. We were take care of by a young woman named Ira. She was terrific. She was a perfectionist about getting the holes placed just right. She spent quite a bit of time with us getting it just right. All in all, we had a great experience. Three weeks later and my daughter’s ears look great. No problems at all with the holes or the earrings. She got two holes in each ear and we spent $ 75.00(inc the hefty 9.25% tax). She got birthstone earrings and sterling silver studs.
