Raw Bandwidth Communications

Called Mike on a Saturday afternoon and he returned my call a couple of hours later. It didn’t end up working in the end due to my address. Despite this, he sent some great info and tips on other ISPs that might be able to better help.
True professional, who’s clearly passionate about what he does.

Mike gives fantastic customer service. He helped me understand the options available to me, even when he knew his business couldn’t serve me. He still helped me. You don’t find a general willingness to help and customer service like this anymore. If I could give him 10 stars, I would.

I have to agree with the other positive reviews – even though Raw Bandwidth has service limitations for where we live and what we need-​Mike who we emailed very patiently and plainly explained other options for us. Good for even those of us who aren’t real swift on tech stuff. Hope they get real big and keep up the great customer service!

This was the most clear and well informed person I talked to about getting internet service in a challenging location. Even though he established quickly that his service would not work for me, he then went on the break down all the pros and cons and negotiation tactics to get the best service possible from Comcast. I had just gotten off the phone with a Comcast sales rep who had seemed super helpful, but had certainly not mentioned all the possibilities. If I have to do this again, I will call Raw Bandwidth first.

OMG… Mike is so professional! My internet was a little choppy last week (which didn’t bother me much). I didn’t bother to give Mike a call as I thought it will go away soon. Surprisingly, Mike gave me a call tonight as he realized I have a little problem with my speed! I never had a service provider that would reach out to the customer and trying to fix the problem! Ten thumbs up!!! And Raw Bandwidth is providing much faster speed at Shelter Creek now!!! YEAH!

no b. s-​straightforward Mike is awesome. He came down here in San Bruno and diagnosed the problem with my landlord’s old ass cable. AT&T did a terrible job not doing what they were suppose to do.
I wish businesses like at&t and comcast were more honest like Raw Bandwidth

I cannot begin to start to begin expressing how much I appreciate Mike and the service he provides. I had Raw band for a little while and I thought I could upgrade with Sonic internet service. They sent their tec out here and within four hours he came back to me and said I no longer have connection with my phone line and I need a cable internet from now on. Meaning say that he broke my internet line thru the phone. So i embarrassingly called Mike and asked if he could bail me out of my stupidity. Within one hour from me calling, he not only had my internet back up but had question how Sonic had the wire set up. Any other Internet service provider would never provide this type of close quick response service like Mike provides. I am never leaving Raw Band Internet long as Raw band is around. Thank you Mike.

I can’t speak of Mike highly enough. Sadly, I cannot utilize RB’s services, but Mike gave me the most thorough rundown of what my current ISP is providing me with and what he could offer as an alternative. Even helped me get more out of my current ISP when I was unable to make the switch. Wow! This is the kind of customer service that should be rewarded with riches beyond one’s wildest dreams. I wish you guys all the success in the world!

I found Raw Bandwidth by doing a search on Unilocal for best internet providers in Foster City. I am sick and tired of Comcast and was trying to find ANYBODY other than Comcast and AT&T that would cover a single family home in my neighborhood. Raw Bandwidth came up in the search results and I saw it had great reviews so I gave them a call. I got a voice mailbox, so I left a message. Less than 10 minutes later I got a call back from Mike. Sadly, after entering in my address, he informed me that although he could get service to me, the service at my house would be extremely slow and not worth it. He explained in detail why this was, and then stayed on the phone with me for about 15 minutes while I asked him a slough of other questions about the minimum speed I need for the types of activities and number of people in my house, the problems I’ve been having with Comcast, how I might fix them with getting my own modem and router and the best models and technologies to look for, and he even gave me a good tip to keep my box/​receipt for the modem because apparently evil «Comcrap» will sometimes conveniently «forget» that you sent back their modem and bought your own and will start charging you again and even demand you give it to them when you try to cancel/​move! Anyway, grudgingly, I will not be using Raw Bandwidth — staying with Comcast for now. But Mike was a wealth of information and extremely patient while listening to and answering all of my questions. I highly recommend Raw Bandwidth for their customer service alone, and I’m assuming their product is pretty darn good too, though I sadly won’t get a chance to find out.

Mike is an approachable, friendly nerd. He explains the technical details behind what he’s installing and thoroughly tests the set up he creates for you to ensure you get the best results possible with your hardware. He didn’t put any pressure on me to get anything that would cost more, and when I didn’t have the perfect amount of cash to buy a router off of him, he was flexible enough to let me have it anyway.
I just got internet installed today so I don’t have enough data points to really give a review on the internet service itself, but it’s been perfect so far, and truly gives the advertised speed.

I talked with Mike on the phone and he was detailed in presenting options, and even let me know what his service could offer in my particular area versus others. I appreciated that he didn’t just try to make a sale but actually focused on helping me get my desired results. I ended up using a different provider that he suggested for my needs, but I wanted to share my positive experience.

Mike is freaking AWESOME … if there was a 10 star rating that’s what he would be! He is a rare breed of human being walking this earth… How can anyone be so genuine and honest … all of his reviews are 100% true … there are no words to describe my encounter with Mike… I am speechless and humbled by him… All I can say is I’m not worthy…

All I want to say is WOW! Not only is every review about this gentlemen Mike true it is also unreal. The service he provides is out of this world. He is honest!!! Very knowledgeable person. I have not written a review in a long time but he triggered a response from me. He came by at 9:30pm to help me troubleshoot. And i wasnt even a customer yet!

Excellent customer service, Mike is a one man army !
He is extremely patient and gives you multiple options to suit your budget.
We had a troublesome outside connection (AT&T problem) and Mike was always there to troubleshoot with the ATT tech.
Mike has been very helpful and always responds to our queries and questions promptly !

Hands down the best internet service customer service. Mike installed our internet, gave us a break down of how everything worked and helped us every time we had a problem.
I’ve had Comcast and AT&T and have been frustrated with how I can’t get someone to respond to breaks in service. When we had an issue with our modem, Mike came over that same day and fixed it.
Like the rest of the reviews, I’d highly recommend this company to any of my friends.

Great company, very knowledgeable, and detailed. He wasn’t able to provide me the service I needed, but at least now I understand why. If I’m within reach, I’d try Raw Bandwidth surely.

Never had a better experience with any ISP. 5 stars for great customer service, price, and speed. Mike is competent, friendly, and shows up when he says he will (compare to Comcast which stood me up twice at my last place when I took time out to meet them). No giant corporate phone tree to deal with– when you call you get Mike immediately every time.
Would very highly recommend to others.

I just had my DSL tested and installed by Mike about an hour ago and I have to say the whole experience from the ordering over the phone to having him personally in my home connecting me to their service was absolutely pleasant. I had AT&T for 7 years now and anytime I needed to deal with them, I had to wait on average a half hour before I can get a customer representative to assist me with an issue. This was the same deal when I finally called them to disconnect my service with them.
With Raw Bandwidth, it was completely the opposite! When I called to order the Standalone ADSL2+ I was already talking to a live person (Mike specifically), placed the order and within business days, he was in my house to set up my service. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He communicated with me and advised the steps I needed to take to make the transition of service from the faceless AT&T corporation to Raw Bandwidth in days leading up to the installation.
I chose to the 3 mbps plan which is the cheapest plan they have but so far it’s good enough for me and I can load any pages with the same ease that I had with AT&T DSL.
This is the type of customer service that wins me over any day and I’ll be excited to do business with a small company like this for a long time to come.
