Wow, what a great selection this store has. It is clean and well organized and I found some clothes that still had the original store tags on them. The is a small «designer» area in the front of the store with some real finds. Staff was quite friendly and helpful too. I don’t usually shop in thrift stores but this one deserves another visit.

Assistance League had a decent selection of clothes but as a young female, I was treated very poorly at this store. While trying on clothes (and following the limit of 5 items/​dressing room) the sales associates spoke about their fear that I was stealing. When I opened the dressing room door, one of the women was standing immediately in front of me to count my items.
I didn’t appreciate the judgement and would not wish that on anyone else.

At first I didn’t realize that the Bargain Box was actually the thrift store that provides most of the funding for the Assistance League of Capistrano Valley. I went in to donate some items and the volunteers working there were so wonderful and appreciative of my donation. Ruth G. Was the one who helped me and told me all about the different philanthropies that are funded by the store. I happened to be on the look out for a local place to volunteer and became an Assistance League of Capistrano Valley member. One of my favorites at the Bargain Box is the «boutique» area where you can find some great name brand pieces from clothing to shoes to hand bags. It’s definitely worth checking out!

Great selection of clothing and housewares at good prices. Bright and clean and the volunteers were actually friendly an helpful! (I sometimes find thrift shop ladies to be a tad snooty toward bargain shoppers.) I found a vintage Honda riding suit and an old tool catalog. There’s a boutique section in front for those of us with champagne taste and beer budgets.

Love stopping by this thrift store — clean, lots to see, and always friendly people. And best of all, the prices are perfect for a low budget with the economy as bad as it is these days.
