Bargain Box

We were on vacation exploring the area when we went into the Bargain Box. The merchandise was set up in order, everything very clean and most reasonably priced. All of the volunteers were extremely helpful. After visiting the store I got home and realized I had lost my pedometer, which I had clipped to my clothing as we had been walking and I was keeping track of our miles. I remembered trying on clothing in the dressing room and hearing something drop, but when I looked I couldn’t find anything. I called the shop several times and asked if they’d found the pedometer, but after telling me several times it was not found, they said they’d take my phone number and let me know if it showed up. Sure enough, after getting back home on the east coast, I got a call from them saying they found the pedometer. I asked if they would mail it back to me as this particular model was discontinued and I was unable to replace it. I told them I would send them cash to cover shipping costs and they could just keep the balance as a donation to the business. True to their word, I just received my pedometer in perfect condition. Thanks to the dedicated and caring workers at the shop. I am most appreciative of the fact they took time out of their busy day to go to the post office, purchase a mailer, and get this back to me.
Next time we are in CA, we will definitely make another trip to the Bargain Box.

Lovely store with lovely volunteers staffing the place. Beautiful china and serving pieces. This place is a great to visit… especially when they are having a half price sale!!!

It’s hard to believe that this store is a thrift shop! It is so clean and well organized! I love how all the clothes are hanging by color as it makes it easy to find what you want! Also, the staff, who are all volunteers, are so friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

The Bargain Box Thrift Store in San Clemente is an amazing place to find incredible deals… clothing of all types, including designer items, for men, women, and children. They also have a great home décor section that often includes collectibles and antiques. The housewares and linens departments can help you fill in whatever you need at home. I especially love the boutique because it has specialty items such as designer purses, sunglasses, shoes and evening wear… sometimes, they even have wedding dresses! The jewelry cases are full of costume jewelry, but you can also find some great deals on fine jewelry. I like to follow them on FACEBOOK and on craigslist because I get a «heads up» on what has recently been donated to sell. The sales are incredible and the staff is so friendly and helpful! I highly recommend a trip to San Clemente on «the Rodeo Drive of thrift stores as the O.C. Register calls it. So many great store but this one is by far the best!

Anybody that hasn’t been in the Bargain Box Thrift Store lately needs to come in and see how they’ve redone it. Very nice cabinets in the front of the store with merchandise that is beautifully displayed. The clothes are really nice and the sales are wonderful. You just never know what you’re going to find there. And the volunteers are always helpful and smiling.

I have found so many bargains at this store. Not just clothes but books on the bestsellers list, crystal & china along with purses & jewelry. Why didn’t someone tell me about his place sooner?
I was told when I do my re-​organizing at home I can donate the things I no longer need and get a tax write-off…bingo, a win-​win.
