Bamboo and Beyond

This is it! I have found my dream store! If you are looking for the most beautiful, authentic, «beachy & tropical» home décor, this is the place. They have a huge variety of items for your whole house. It took me an hour just to walk around the store and see everything and I wanted «everything». It’s like eye candy! We just moved to Dana Point and wanted to decorate our home in a British Isles Tropical theme and was not finding what we wanted at Home Goods, Pier One, etc. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Bamboo & Beyond. And if ever I am looking for a particular piece, if they don’t have it, they will find it for you. They have the authentic Hawaiian fabrics for upholstery as well. And the owners, Gretchen & Mark just couldn’t be nicer. You can tell they love what they do!

I’ve been here a few times to find things when I was redecorating my room. The only downside is I feel that some things are overpriced. They do have a nice selection of items.

Very bad business! The owner does not stand behind his merchandise. We purchased a dining table & 6 chairs! Paid $ 1,700.00 cash!!! Brought it home, had company for dinner! A very embarrassing moment! The chair broke/​fell apart! Went to the store the very next day and explained what happened! The store owner did not want to do anything about it! He said you bought it, it’s yours! We asked if he could have chairs fixed? Can he get us new chairs? Can we take chairs to get fixed and him pay for fixing them! We didn’t want a refund we just wanted the 6 chairs fixed! He offered nothing! I will never buy from them again nor recommend a anyone to shop there! If you purchase furniture please inspect very good and try out!!! I was so excited to buy the set that I didn’t take the time to sit on a chair! Had I taken the time to sit on chairs I would of known not to buy the dining set!!! Needless to say we of course had the chairs fixed and are safe to sit on! Till this day we cannot believe the store owner sold very unsafe chairs and did not offer any type of refund or care to help with making the furniture safe! STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!! We will continue to shop at TIMELESS TEAK DANA POINT CA!!! And never return to BAMBOO AND BEYOND!!! Very disappointing shopping experience!!!

There is no other shop like Bamboo and Beyond. I go there often as they have the most unique merchandise this side of the Tropics. Exquisitely made things; super-​fair prices with basically something for everyone. From beautiful materials with hand-​blocked prints to gorgeous hand-​made mirrors, lamps, hand-​carved wood carvings, wall art, etc. Our son from Hawaii carted home a huge mirror for his home and plans to visit the store again when he comes back in September. The owners are fair and above-​board. You want a super-​quality tiki bar (not one of the flimsy ones you see everywhere)? They have it. You can’t find a better place to find treasures.

This store has the the best in Polynesian furnishings! Everything is beautiful. Very tasteful. Nothing tacky. I can’t leave without buying something. Always something new to see. We just bought a gorgeous couch. Stop in, you’ll love it!

Love this store. They have a lot of the items I saw in Tahiti at reasonable prices. I recently bought a shell windchime and I get so many compliments when people see it. The owners are very nice and helpful.

This store is such a gem! I love the friendly staff and the yummy smells in the store! The furniture is beautiful and unique. It is also the perfect place to pick up one of a kind gifts like frames, funky bracelets and tropical candles.

Once upon a time, two tropical-​themed stores opened smack-​dab next to each other. Years pass and the economy tanks, causing one of the stores to close shop. Remaining was the victor, Bamboo and Beyond.
The store oozes cuteness, and is everything you’d think a tropical store to be. They’ve got everything from furniture to jewelry, pictures frames, kitchenware and plain old bamboo; there’s even an art gallery on the second floor.
I ended up purchasing an adorable mother-​of-​pearl-​esque picture frame for under $ 20. Even better than the ones I purchased in Maui (and a heck of a lot cheaper)!
Parking was a cinch, as they have a lot behind the store.
